Abstract

In general, the shells are widely used as handicraft materials such as wall decorations or building interior decorations and as a mixture of animal feed, therefore other utilization is needed to increase the use value of the shells. Clam shells contain calcium in the form of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) by 96.5%. The high calcium content of the shell allows the shell to be used as a source of catalyst material in the carburizing process. The catalyst affects the carburizing process because it can accelerate the formation of CO2 gas, which is needed for the carbon diffusion process on the surface of low carbon steel so that the metal hardness can increase. The powder mixing process was carried out for 3, 6, 9 hours with the variations used, namely 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% to determine the effect of the percentage of mussel shell powder catalyst and carburizing process time on the hardness value and impact strength of ST 42 steel.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country that generally faces the risk of widespread mosquito distribution in each of its regions. With the abudance of mosquito distribution, the spread of mosquito larvae will also increase. As a result, mosquito larvae fins suitable places to breed in hard-to-reach areas. Therefore, a tool is needed to monitor these mosquito larvae when they are in water reservoir or containers that are difficult to access. The method used in this final project is You Only Look Once (YOLO). Based on the system can perform detection but is not yet working optimally. The system can detect well in places with bright light intensity or not too dark. The test result of this system show that it can detect many mosquito larvae at once. The accuracy results obtained from testing range from 51% - 89%.

Abstract

Bangka Belitung is an area that has a variety of cultures. However, as time goes by, especially children at elementary school are less exposed to local culture. Due to the limited availability of instructional tools or learning media to practice the existing material, especially in the current era where the use of gadgets among children is increasing; however, these gadgets are predominantly utilized for playing non-educational games. Therefore, learning media is needed as a bridge to introduce local culture in order to increase children's knowledge and maintain the culture. The media that is suitable to overcome this problem is an Android-based educational game that introduces Bangka Belitung's culture. The method used in developing is GDLC (Game Development Life Cycle). This method has six stages, namely initiation, pre-production, production, testing (alpha), testing (beta) and release. With white box and black box testing, it's obtained that according to white box results that it is very good for use and according to black box method of user acceptance testing, test from the teachers obtained a percentage of 100% and for students 93.55% which means it is very suitable for use.

Abstract

Simping clam’s a type of waste that is rarely used. The high levels of calcium carbonate in simping shells enable them to be used as a catalyst in the carburizing process. This research aimed to determine the effect of simping clam shell powder as a catalyst in the carburizing process on the hardness and impact strength values of ST 42 steel. This research used an experimental method by varying the percentage of simping clam shell powder: 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, and coconut shell activated charcoal powder: 100%, 90%, 80%, and 70%, against ST 42 steel with variations in carburizing time: 3 hours, 6 hours, and 9 hours using a temperature of 900°C. The tests carried out were rockwell hardness tests and charpy impact tests according to ASTM E23 standards. From the test results, it was obtained that good hardness and impact strength values were obtained in 3 hours, the percentage was 30% with an average hardness value of 34.02 HRC and an impact value of 0.279 joules/mm2, in 6 hours the percentage was 30% with an average hardness value of 38. 92 HRC and an impact value of 0.229 joules/mm2, a time of 9 hours with a percentage of 30% an average hardness value of 43.68 HRC and an impact value of 0.179 joules/mm2. So by increasing the carburizing time, the hardness increases. The longer the carburizing time, the higher the percentage of simping clam shell powder used. This means that simping clam shell powder  functions as a catalyst.

Abstract

Along with the rapid advancement of technology, the utilization of steel in the industrial world is increasing. St 42 carbon steel is a type of low alloy carbon steel, so this steel has a relatively low hardness and soft properties but has a high ductility value. It is necessary to improve its mechanical properties such as hardness. Improvement of these properties requires the park carburizing process. The purpose of this research is to determine the feasibility of turtle shell powder as a catalyst and coconut shell activated charcoal powder as a carbon source in the carburizing process of St 42 steel. The research method includes turtle shell powder with variations of 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%, then followed by a rapid cooling process using water media. From the test results, it can be seen that the mechanical properties of the highest hardness value are found in the 20% variation of the turtle shell catalyst with a time of 9 hours experiencing an increase, inversely proportional to the hardness. impact test value with a 20% variation of the catalyst with a time of 9 hours decreased. So it can be concluded that the high hardness value will be inversely proportional to the results of the low impact test value.

Abstract

The snakehead fish is a type of freshwater fish that is widely cultivated due to its relatively high economic value. Achieving success in snakehead fish farming requires careful planning, effective management, understanding of cultivation techniques, and compliance with regulations and business requirements. However, temperature and pH checks in the fish pond at PT Mahkota Tanah Air are currently conducted manually. The environmental conditions of the pond significantly affect the freshwater fish farming process. Therefore, a modern technology-based detection system is needed to monitor the temperature and pH of the fish pond using the Fuzzy method. Thus, the implementation of this temperature and pH detection monitoring system can assist pond operators in monitoring the temperature and pH of the fish pond. The testing results of the temperature and pH sensors at PT Mahkota Tanah Air show an accuracy rate of 98%, indicating success.

Abstract

In the process of character building of early childhood, it is necessary to instill good attitudes and and be given a place to learn by utilizing technological developments in the learning process. Therefore, it is hoped that educational games can support the enthusiasm of children in learning to understand manners in accordance with Islamic law. Educational games can help educators both teachers and parents in providing manners education This research aims to develop educational games as a learning tool that suits the needs of TPA Baitussalam Sri Pemandang children. The method implemented is the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC), designed using Unity application and Canva application. In this game there are three learning materials namely Manners, Asmaul Husna, and Prophet Stories. The game runs well and has been tested for functional features by experts. The results of application testing show that the material is in accordance with the source book used in Caberawit learning with a percentage of 95.71%. To calculate User Acceptance Testing, taken from testing to children Caberawit TPA Baitussalam Sri Pemandang get a final score of 85.9%. After doing the UAT calculation, it can be concluded that the manners educational game falls into the "Very Feasible" criteria.

Abstract

Technology is growing rapidly and has affected many aspects of life today. Technology is being used more and more frequently and the most utilized language is English. Tidar English Course provides tutoring for English, but Tidar 7th and 8th grade participants have difficulty in learning and memorizing English vocabulary. To overcome these problems, an application is made to help Tidar 7th and 8th-grade participants learn vocabulary with educational game media. Learning will be packaged into a crossword puzzle game so that it can train their vocabulary by finding the right answer in the crossword puzzle boxes that have been provided. The development method in this research is using Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC), and the testing method uses the User Acceptance Test (UAT). The system testing in this study uses black box testing. User Acceptance Test (UAT) testing submitted to the teacher gets 100% of Tidar 82.44% for grade 7 Tidar participants and 84.22% for grade 8 Tidar participants. It can be concluded that the results of the three User Acceptance Tests (UAT) get the criteria "Very Feasible"

Abstract

The growth in the use of electric vehicles has become a significant trend in recent years, supported by the establishment of several electric charging stations in urban areas. The reliability of transaction system management at electric charging stations is one of the main focuses. Therefore, research is needed to create a transaction system at a simple electric charging station that utilizes a website-based platform. The aim of this research is to optimize transaction system management at electric charging stations. Based on the results obtained in this research, the tool is capable of charging from an AC source which is converted to DC by a 12V 5A power adapter. Charging is carried out using a 12V 3.5Ah battery with a nominal price option of 5,000 to 25,000. When the top-up reaches the nominal value filled in, the top-up will be cut off by the relay and the transaction receipt will automatically come out. The receipt data that comes out will be stored on the website. Operators and users can monitor transaction data via the STARIK website.

Abstract

Goldfish (Carassius Auratus) is a beloved ornamental fish among enthusiasts. In the care of Goldfish, feeding plays a crucial role in supporting their growth, thus the feed provided must correspond to the size, quantity, and nutritional content required by the fish. One way to determine the appropriate amount of feed is by measuring the fish's weight. However, conventional measurements may suffer inaccuracies due to several factors, such as the observer's skill level and the tendency of fish to move. The aim of this research is to develop a system capable of determining the feed amount for the fish based on their weight. In this study, the Author utilizes image processing technology using image segmentation techniques to measure the weight of ornamental fish in determining the appropriate feed quantity. Based on test results, this system can measure weight by simultaneously placing Goldfish in an aquarium, resulting in length accuracy of 88.57%, width of 86.18%, and weight of 86.61%, determining feed quantity at 85.87% accuracy with a feed difference of 1.64 grams. Meanwhile, measuring individual fish/tails produces length accuracy of 92.96%, width of 77.15%, and weight of 94.12%, as well as feed quantity determination at 99.43% accuracy with a feed difference of 0.08 grams.
