Abstract

Along with the times, the technology of utilizing natural fiber composite materials has developed, including in the field of engineering materials. One of them is natural fiber. This resam plant is easy to get because it is used in almost all corners of Indonesia, including the Bangka Belitung province because it is easy to process, and has stem content and stem size. The purpose of this study was to determine the best value for the effect of volume fraction on the tensile test of resam fiber composite materials. This study used a volume fraction variant of 10%, 15% and 20% by immersion in NaOH for 30, 60 and 90 minutes. The highest average results were obtained from the tensile test obtained from the 15% volume fraction with 60 minutes of NaOH immersion and the lowest average values were obtained from the 15% volume fraction with 90 minutes of NaOH immersion. From the research results obtained, it was concluded that the average value and variance of the tensile strength of resam fiber was found at the level 2 immersion time factor, which was for 60 minutes and the level 2 volume fraction factor, which was 15%. volume fraction, the most optimal.

Abstract

At this time, machine translation is one of the options for translating languages, especially for people who want to learn a language. Bangka language is a language that is often used by the Bangka people for everyday life. There have been many developments for machine translation, but no one has yet developed a translation machine for the Bangka language. The development of a machine translation using Neural Machine Translation (NMT) and its implementation using the Flask microframework is the first step for the development of a machine translation for the Bangka language. This study aims to make and find out the translation results of the Bangka language translator application into Indonesian using the RNN translator model. The development starts from creating a parallel corpus of Bangka language to Indonesian and machine translation architecture with the RNN model. The research method starts from dataset collection, data preprocessing, modeling and training, system evaluation and implementation. From the results of the BLEU Scores evaluation, a value of 55.3% was obtained for Bangka to Indonesian. Furthermore, the model is implemented in the form of a website by utilizing the Flask framework, so that users can easily translate.

Abstract

One of the largest SMKs in the Bangka Belitung Islands is SMK Negeri 2 Pangkalpinang. At SMK Negeri 2 Pangkalpinang, alumni registration is still done with a Google form that can't be edited in the event of a data collection error, which can make the administration's validation process more difficult. The process of collecting alumni data, therefore, requires a more efficient system. The creation of a SMK Negeri 2 Pangkalpinang alumni data system is the goal of this study. This study used observation, interviews, and data collection about the alumni data collection information system at SMK Negeri 2 Pangkalpinang to collect the data. The waterfall development method is used to create the system. The development of a website-based alumni data information system for SMK Negeri 2 Pangkalpinang that is capable of managing alumni data and assisting the administration in processing alumni data is the outcome of this study. The user satisfaction survey found that 81.2% of respondents agreed that the system works well.

Abstract

The State Polytechnic of Manufacturing of Bangka Belitung (Polman Negeri Babel) offers many study programs to attract prospective students, however, interview results show that many of them are mistaken in choosing study programs. The problems identified include students wanting to change study programs, confusion in determining study programs, the level of involvement of others in determining study programs, and the number of students who do not complete their studies. The goal of this final project is to design and build a website-based application for prospective students of Polman Negeri Babel so they do not make mistakes in choosing study programs. The author uses the waterfall method and black box testing as system testing to build this application which will include features of a chatbot and an entrance exam system that can provide recommendations for suitable study programs based on the interests and knowledge of prospective students. It is hoped that this application can help prospective students make wise decisions in choosing study programs and completing their studies until graduation.

Abstract

Welding plays an important role in every metal working and repair in the production process. There are various methods to overcome problems in the meterial connection process. One of them is friction welding which is one of the solutions in solving metal joining problems. In this study, the method used is the RSM (Response Surface Method) method which aims to determine the value of impact strength on AISI 1040 steel which is connected to SS 400 steel which has been carried out the Friction Welding process. This study uses an impact test in accordance with the standard ASTM E23 impact test charpy method with a size of 55 mm × 10 mm × 10 mm with a notch depth of 2 mm, and a notch angle of 45 °. The impact test was conducted using the Charpy method impact testing machine model JB-300B. With a pendulum capacity of 150 Joules. Based on the results of the impact test, the largest value was obtained in the 6th and 7th experiments with an impact price value of 2.575 joules/mm2, while the smallest value was in the 3rd experiment with a value of 1.557 joules/mm2

Abstract

Along with the times, synthetic composite materials are often used as materials for making reinforcing car panels, car dashboards and other interior devices. Although synthetic composite materials have strong strength, synthetic composite materials are less environmentally friendly and have an expensive price. Natural fibres are an alternative to synthetic fibres in order to reduce natural pollution and reduce production costs. Therefore, in this research I will use palm fibre and resam as reinforcement material. The purpose of this research is to find out whether mixing between resam fibre and palm fibre to make a car dashboard has reached the standardised value of making a car dashboard. The hand lay-up method will be combined with the Taguchi method in the L9(34) orthogonal matrix design used as a guide for making test specimens. With tensile and impact testing. This study used variations in volume fraction of 25%, 30%, 35% fibre, as well as variations in fibre length of 30mm, 40mm, 50mm with 2h NaOH immersion. The highest average value of impact test strength was at 30% volume fraction of fibre with 30mm fibre length with a value of 0.0617 Joule and the lowest average value was at 25% volume fraction of fibre with 50mm fibre length with a value of 0.0307 Joule.

Abstract

The Friction Welding method is a welding method that utilizes heat energy caused by the friction of the two materials to be joined, the heat from the friction will cause the material to become semisolid or plastic. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of variations in friction time and distance suppression carried out on impact strength and hardness tests using the Friction Welding method on AISI 1045 steel material connected to Stainless Steel 304. The method used is the Response Surface Method (RSM) to determine impact strength value of AISI 1045 steel which is connected to Stainless Steel 304 after the friction welding process is carried out. The variation used in this study is the variation of the pressure distance and friction time. The size of the impact test specimen is made according to the impact test standard, namely ASTM E23. The greatest impact test results were found in specimen number 6 with a pressing distance of 4.41 mm and a friction time of 5 minutes, namely 0.156 Joule/mm2. While the lowest impact value is found in specimen number 1 with a pressing distance of 2 mm and a friction time of 4 minutes, namely 0.038 Joule/mm2.

Abstract

Lepar Pongok District has 8 tourist attractions but what can be displayed on the website are 6 tourist attractions, information about tourist attractions in Lepar Pongok District is still lacking, due to the lack of information about tourism in Lepar Pongok District, so with this the author is interested in making "Design of a Tourism Promotion Information System in Lepar Pongok District, South Bangka Regency". The aim of this final project is to design and build a Tourism Promotion Information System for Lepar Pongok District, South Bangka Regency as an effort to promote tourism in Lepar Pongok District. In the tourism promotion information system research in the Lepar Pongok sub-district, the data collection method used was the interview, documentation, observation, and literature study. And the method used in designing a tourism promotion information system website in Lepar Pongok district, the district is the waterfall method. The results of research on the tourism promotion information system website in the Lepar Pongok sub-district, district based on the tests that have been carried out, get a percentage value of 83% so this application is feasible to use. The conclusion from research on the tourism promotion information system website in Lepar Pongok sub-district, South Bangka district is that this website can make it easier for potential tourists to find out which tourism destinations are in Lepar Pongok sub-district and are feasible to use.

Abstract

The bimetallic welding process is a welding process that connects two different types of metal. This study aims to determine the effect of the E309-16 electrode on the connection of two materials using smaw welding on tensile strength. The materials used were carbon steel AISI 1045 and stainless steel 304. This study used an experimental method with a penetration and filling welding process with a 60° V seam using an E309-16 electrode. The shape of the specimens in this study used the ASTM E8 standard. From the results of the tensile test research conducted, the E309-16 electrode has an influence on the bimetallic welding process on AISI 1045 carbon steel and 304 stainless steelwith a resulting tensile strength of 58.01 Kg/mm – 68.48 Kg/mm, yield strength that is produced by 35.97 Kg/mm – 37.12 Kg/mm, the resulting strain value was 12.50% - 43.00% and was able to withstand a given tensile load of 6450 Kg – 7900 Kg. and the bimetallic welding process using the E309-16 electrode has a more binding effect on the 304 stainless steel material, this is evidenced by the broken specimens in the weld area and the lower carbon content of 304 stainless steel with a carbon content of 0.042% compared to AISI steel material 1045 which has a carbon content of 0.42%.

Abstract

With the rapid development of the industry at this time emerged a variety of technologies that developed, one of which was the food and beverage industry. The use of plastic in packaging is one of the reasons for the accumulation of waste. Handling that can be done is to process the plastic waste into one of the materials added to manufacture lightweight bricks. Lightweight brick is a material that has a lower mass than conventional brick. This study aimed to determine the effect of foaming agent variations on the density and porosity of lightweight bricks and to prove the hypothesis that variations in foaming agent affect density and porosity by analysis of variance. The test objects in this study were in the form of blocks of 100 mm × 50 mm × 50 mm in 27 variations and with three replications with 81 samples of the test objects. From this research, the best density value was 666.72 kg/m3 using an 85 cm3 foaming agent with porosity values ranging from 0.01 to 0.42%.
