Abstract

This study aims to identify the practices of recording and managing the financial results of clove farming, analyze the challenges in implementing sustainability accounting, and propose a simple record-keeping model based on sustainability accounting principles to support the sustainability of farming activities. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach, collecting field data through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed thematically to reveal recording patterns, encountered problems, and opportunities for implementing sustainability accounting. The findings show that clove farming in Puu Lawulo Village has significant potential; however, harvest timing and weather conditions greatly influence yield and quality. Farmers’ accounting practices remain simple and seasonal, with no separation between household and farm finances, and without recording biological assets or environmental data. The main obstacles include low accounting literacy, limited access to digital tools, fluctuating clove prices, and the absence of practical recording formats—resulting in financial and environmental management that is still carried out intuitively, without analytical support for sustainability. Therefore, to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of clove farming, it is necessary to implement a simple and adaptive sustainability accounting model. This study proposes a chart of accounts (COA) framework that includes income, direct costs, agronomy, occupational health and safety (OHS), and assets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the basic concept of musyarakah contract according to sharia principles and its implementation in the accounting practices of Islamic financial institutions, especially based on Sharia Financial Accounting Standard (PSAK) No. 106. The research method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach, examining the theoretical basis of literature sources and implementation reports in several Islamic financial institutions. The results show that the application of musyarakah contracts in accounting requires separate recording of assets and liabilities arising, measurement of musyarakah investments at the fair value of non-cash assets delivered, and transparent recognition of profit-sharing income and expenses. Although the basic principles are clearly defined in shariah, challenges in accounting implementation often arise related to transparency issues, difficulties in business feasibility analysis, and the diversity of musyarakah products (e.g., mutanaqisah or declining musyarakah). Alignment between sharia concepts and accounting standards (PSAK 106) is essential to ensure fair and transparent practices. A deep understanding by practitioners of Islamic Financial Institutions is required to ensure sharia compliance and accountable presentation of financial statements.

Abstract

The mining sector is one of the main pillars of economic development in Indonesia, particularly in regions with abundant natural resources. North Konawe Regency, in the Southeast Sulawesi Province, is one of the areas with the largest nickel reserve potential in Indonesia. Specifically, Molawe District has become a center for intensive nickel mining activities due to the presence of several Mining Business Licenses (IUP) operating in the region. This study aims to examine the impact of nickel mining activities on economic conditions in Molawe District, North Konawe Regency. The sample in this study consisted of 73 respondents, selected using a simple random sampling technique. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis, utilizing both primary and secondary data sources. The research findings reveal that nickel mining activities in Molawe District bring economic benefits in the form of employment opportunities and increased income. However, they also cause negative impacts related to changes in livelihoods, environmental degradation, and potential social conflicts. Sustainable management, strict government supervision, and corporate compliance with environmental standards are essential to minimize these negative impacts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of regional government expenditure in the tourism and trade sectors on non-oil and gas Gross Regional Domestic Product and its impact on Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) in Bontang City. The research adopts a quantitative appr oach using path analysis to identify causal relationships among variables. The data consist of ten years of secondary time-series data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics and local government financial documents. The results indicate that government expenditure in the tour ism sector has a positive and significant effect on non-oil and gas GRDP. In contrast, expenditure in the trade sector shows a positive but insigni ficant effect on non-oil and gas GRDP. Furthermore, non-oil and gas GRDP has a positive and significant effect on PAD. Path analysis reveals an indirect effect of tourism sector expenditure on PAD through nonoil & gas GRDP, suggesting that increased tourism spending stren gthens local economic activity and enhances fiscal capacity. However, the indire ct effect of trade sector expenditure on PAD through GRDP is found to be insigni ficant. These findings highlight the strategic role of the tour ism sector as a key driver of regional economic growth & local fiscal sustainability

Using a census approach, all 32 employees were included as research respondents. Data were analyzed using Path Analysis in SmartPLS to evaluate both direct and indirect effects among variables. The findings indicate that interpersonal communication has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, while leadership demonstrates a powerful and significant influence on motivation. However, interpersonal communication does not have a significant direct impact on employee performance. In contrast, leadership has a positive and significant effect on performance. Work motivation also exerts a powerful, significant influence on employee performance. Furthermore, the indirect effect of interpersonal communication on performance via motivation is not statistically significant, whereas leadership indirectly enhances performance by increasing motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of user ease of use, system quality, and user satisfaction on employee performance at the Surakarta City Environmental Agency. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 35 employees using the SRIKANDI (Sistem Informasi Kearsipan Dinamis Terintegrasi) application. The research method employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results demonstrated that user satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (p = 0.021), while system quality (p = 0.249) and user ease of use (p = 0.119) did not exhibit significant effects. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.344 indicates that 34.4% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these three independent variables in the model. These findings emphasize the necessity for further evaluation of the implementation of the latter two variables to optimize employee performance at the Surakarta City Environmental Agency.
