Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the Gender Empowerment Index (GEI) in Aceh Province from 2010 to 2024. The variables examined include Women as Professional Workers, Women’s Income Contribution, and Women’s Involvement in Parliament. Using secondary data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), this research applies a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis using Eviews 10. The results show that women as professional workers have a positive but insignificant effect on the GEI. Meanwhile, women’s income contribution and women’s involvement in parliament both have positive and significant effects on the GEI in Aceh Province. The F-test results indicate that all independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the GEI. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.9966 indicates that 99.66% of the variation in the GEI can be explained by the three independent variables. These findings imply that strengthening women’s economic roles and political participation is essential to improving gender empowerment in Aceh.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of average years of schooling, life expectancy, and per capita expenditure on economic growth in Aceh Province for the period 2010–2024 using multiple linear regression. The results show that average years of schooling has a negative and significant effect, indicating that improvements in education have not been able to directly drive economic growth. Life expectancy has a negative but insignificant effect, suggesting that better health conditions have not yet contributed optimally to increasing economic output. In contrast, per capita expenditure has a positive and significant effect, indicating that higher purchasing power plays a stronger role in stimulating economic activity.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) are a sector that contributes significantly to the national economy. However, many UMKM actors still manage business information manually, especially in recording sales data, inventory, and daily transactions. This traditional recording method often causes various problems, such as a high risk of data entry errors, the possibility of losing archives, and difficulties in searching for information when needed. These obstacles can reduce operational effectiveness and potentially hinder business growth in the long term. Based on these conditions, this study was conducted with the aim of implementing a database system for a Toast Bread UMKM using Microsoft Access. The application of this system is expected to provide a more efficient, organized, and easily accessible alternative for data management whenever needed. To collect the data, the researcher conducted direct interviews with Toast Bread vendors operating around the Vocational School of IPB University. From the interview process, important information needed by the vendors was identified, such as raw material stock data, menu lists, sales frequency, and daily report requirements. The findings of this study show that the use of a Microsoft Access-based database provides positive impacts for UMKM. The system helps simplify data storage and processing, as well as produce faster and more accurate reports. In addition, more structured data access also helps UMKM actors make business decisions more precisely. Overall, the implementation of Microsoft Access has proven to increase efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism in data management for the Toast Bread UMKM, thus supporting the business to grow in a more organized and sustainable way.

Abstract

Abstrak. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership style and work environment on the performance of customer service employees at bank panin palmerah main branch. This research method uses quantitative methods with a sample size of 65 respondents, the data analysis techniques used are: validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test, heteroscedasticity test, simple linear regression test, multiple linear regression test, simple correlation coefficient test, multiple correlation coefficient test, coefficient of determination analysis test, t test and f test. Based on the results of the t test, it is found that the leadership style (X1) has a positive and significant effect on the employee performance variable (Y). at Bank Panin Palmerah Main Branch. This is evidenced by the t value of 12.953> 1.998 and the significance value for the leadership style variable (X1) of 0.000 <0.05. Based on the results of the t test, the t value obtained for the work environment (X2) has a positive and significant effect on the employee performance variable (Y). at Bank Panin Palmerah Main Branch. Evidenced by the t value of 14.658> 1.998 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Based on the results of the f test, the calculated f value of leadership style (X1) and work environment (X2) simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y). at Bank Panin Palmerah Main Branch. Evidenced by the calculated F value of 125.007> 3.15 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Keywords: Leadership Style, Work Environment, Employee Performance.

Abstract

Abstrak. This research was conducted at the Kasih Indonesia Cooperative in Cilincing, North Jakarta, which aims to determine the effect of Motivation and Work Discipline on Employee Performance at the Kasih Indonesia Cooperative in Cilincing, North Jakarta, both partially and simultaneously. The method used is saturated sampling using a sample of 60 employees. Data analysis uses validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, regression analysis, correlation tests, determination coefficient analysis and hypothesis tests (T and F). The results of this study are that Motivation has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. This is based on the results of the regression test obtained by the regression equation Y = 16.493 + 0.610 X1 and the results of the hypothesis test obtained with a Tcount value > Ttable or (7.762 > 2.002), this is strengthened by a probability significance of 0.00 <0.05, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning there is a partial significant effect between motivation on employee performance at the Kasih Indonesia Cooperative in Cilincing, North Jakarta. Work Discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This is based on the results of the regression test obtained the regression equation Y = 15.818 + 0.587 X2 and the results of the hypothesis test obtained with a value of Thitung> Ttabel (6.803> 2.002), this is strengthened by a probability significance of 0.00 <0.05, thus H0 is rejected and H2 is accepted meaning there is a significant partial influence between work discipline on employee performance at the Kasih Indonesia Cooperative Cilincing North Jakarta. Motivation and Work Discipline have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This is based on the results of the regression test Y = 8.268 + 0.433X1 + 0.362X2 and the results of the hypothesis test obtained with a value of Fhitung> Ftabel or (49.663> 2.770), this is also strengthened by a ρ value <Sig 0.050 or (0.00 <0.05). Thus H0 is rejected and H3 is accepted. This means that there is a significant simultaneous influence between motivation and work discipline on employee performance at the Kasih Indonesia Cooperative in Cilincing, North Jakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation and competence on employee performance at PT. Zahir Internasional, South Jakarta. The method used is quantitative descriptive research, which is research with data collected through a questionnaire survey and expressed in numerical form involving 80 respondents. Data analysis was performed using simple and multiple linear regression. The results showed that work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (calculated t = 2.942 > table t = 1.991), meaning that the higher the work motivation, the better the performance. Conversely, competence did not show a significant effect on employee performance (t count = 0.520 < t table = 1.991), indicating that competence did not contribute significantly to performance improvement. Simultaneously, work motivation and competence have a significant effect on employee performance (F count = 4.584 > F table = 3.115), with a total contribution of 10.6%. These findings indicate the importance of increasing work motivation to improve employee performance, while competence needs to be improved to provide more optimal support. This study suggests that companies should pay more attention to motivation and provide appropriate training to improve employee competency, so that organizational performance can be improved.

Abstract

The application of sharia economic principles in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector is a crucial aspect in creating fair, ethical, and sustainable business practices. This study aims to examine the extent to which sharia economic principles are applied in the operational activities of the Mie Pangsit Lisa MSME, located in Medan City. The analysis focuses on the production process, transaction mechanisms, pricing systems, and work relationship patterns between business owners and employees. This study used a field research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from primary and secondary sources through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically to describe the actual conditions in the field. The results indicate that the Mie Pangsit Lisa MSME has implemented most of the values and principles of sharia economics, particularly in the aspects of product halalness, transaction honesty, and price fairness. However, several aspects still require strengthening, particularly in the understanding and application of sharia principles more comprehensively to achieve optimal sharia principles.

Abstract

Abstrak. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style and compensation on employee performance at PT. Anugerah Autocentra Abadi Jakarta. The background of this study is the importance of the role of leaders in directing and motivating employees, and providing appropriate compensation to improve performance. The method used is descriptive quantitative with saturated sample technique, involving 60 respondents. Data analysis includes validity, reliability, classical assumptions, simple and multiple linear regression, correlation coefficient, determination, and hypothesis testing. The results show that leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a determination coefficient of 67.1% and t count > t table (10.876 > 2.001). Compensation also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a determination coefficient of 44.2% and t count > t table (6.772 > 2.001). Simultaneously, leadership style and compensation have a significant effect on employee performance with a determination coefficient of 68.4%, while the remaining 31.6% is influenced by other factors outside this study. This finding confirms that the application of appropriate leadership style and the provision of fair compensation can improve employee performance optimally. Abstract

Learning the hijaiyah letters in early childhood is a crucial stage in establishing the foundation for Quranic reading skills. Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) teachers play a strategic role because the educational process in this age group requires an approach that aligns with the child's developmental characteristics. This article aims to explain the role of PIAUD teachers in developing hijaiyah reading skills, including appropriate learning methods, media that can be used, and supporting and inhibiting factors encountered in the field. Theoretical studies and discussion indicate that the teacher's role includes planner, facilitator, guide, motivator, and evaluator. The use of play-based approaches, multisensory methods, a religious learning environment, and collaboration between schools and parents are key to the effectiveness of hijaiyah learning in PIAUD. This article is expected to serve as a reference for teachers, PIAUD students, and educational institutions in improving the quality of Islamic learning in early childhood.

Abstract

Corruption in the funding of social assistance continues to be a serious issue because of its significant impact on Indonesia's economy. This study aims to analyze the effects of corrupt practices in aid funds on three main aspects of the national economy, namely economic growth, fiscal stability, and socio-economic inequality. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, combining literature review and analysis of current cases. The results of the study show that corruption in aid funds not only causes losses to state finances but also has long-term effects that can hinder economic growth, disrupt fiscal balance, and widen social inequality, potentially reducing the rights of the poor as beneficiaries. It can be seen from the analysis of several cases, ranging from the misuse of Covid-19 aid funds, the Indonesia Smart program, disaster aid, to the public housing program, which show evidence of state losses reaching trillions of rupiah. Therefore, these findings emphasize that aid funds can have a significant and layered negative impact on the national economy. For this reason, comprehensive improvements are needed in managing aid funds by strengthening the oversight system, increasing transparency, utilizing advanced digital technology, and imposing strict sanctions on perpetrators of corruption to prevent them from committing it again.
