Abstract

This article describes the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers when fostering the morals of students using the implementation of religious program at SMPN 1 Diwek Jombang. PAI teachers not only serve as presenters, but also play a role as counselors in shapping students’ characters. In the midst of the challenges of modern times, especially the negative influence of social media, moral coaching is an important component in the world of education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, and data is obtained by observasion through observation and interviews. The result of the study prove that religious activities such as congregational prayers, recitation of the Qur’an, and istighosah contribute positively to shaping student’ personalities. However, there are still obstacles such as low student motivation and limited supporting facilities. Therefore, solid collaboration between teachers, students, and school is needed to optimize the implementation of this program in a sustainable manner

Abstract

Morals are traits that are inherent in the soul and trigger spontaneous actions, where ImamlAl-Ghazalijinjthejbook Ihya' 'Ulumiddin emphasizes thejimportancejof accustoming children to good morals from an early age, remembering that a child's heart is like a blank piece of paper that can easily absorb everything, so this habituation is a must for parents as full responsibility for God's mandate to care for, raise and educate children with love. This research, which uses a documentation approach with primary data from Al-Ghazali's writings and secondary data from relevant sources, Focusesjonjtwojmainjquestions: what is the concept of good and bad parenting patternsjaccordingjtojImamjAl-GhazalijinjIhya' 'Ulumiddin.The research results show that good parenting according to Al-Ghazali includes cultivating manners, developing noble character, prioritizing religious education, monitoring the social environment, providing role models, teaching balance injthejworldjandjthejherejafter,jasjwelljas education with love and wisdom. On the other hand, bad parenting is characterized by tolerating bad habits, neglect, allowing children to mix with negative environments, excessive criticism, not teaching manners, worldly indulgence, not providing religious education, allowing children to take other people's rights, and not maintaining good manners in speaking.

Abstract

This thesis aims to answer the problem of how the role of wives who work at night as nurses at the Sunan Kudus Islamic Hospital, Kudus Regency. This thesis uses a type of empirical legal research which is a legal research method by examining the applicable legal provisions in the form of Islamic law and what happens in reality in society or research conducted on the actual conditions that occur in society, with the intention of finding facts that are used as research data in the form of interviews. The results of this study concluded that: first, wives who work as nurses have a role as wives and also mothers, they must be able to divide their time between work and household affairs. Second, a wife who works at night is allowed because Islam does not prohibit it as long as she gets the approval of her husband and on the condition that a wife must not violate Islamic law and not neglect her household obligations

Abstract

This thesis aims to answer the problem of how Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah figures in Kudus Regency view the phenomenon of husbands who neglect their obligations to provide sustenance as a form of devotion to their parents. This thesis uses a type of empirical legal research which is a legal research method by examining applicable legal provisions in the form of Islamic law and what happens in reality in society. The results of this study concluded that: first, the husband's actions neglecting his obligations as head of the family are negligence in terms of sustenance, by acting unfairly to his wife regarding the level of sustenance given, namely his parents get a higher level than his wife so that his small family experiences a shortage in meeting daily needs. Second, the husband's actions are not justified even though the reason is to be given to his parents. So in carrying out these obligations, do not neglect other obligations, namely providing for your wife. Because Islam is a religion that emphasizes and upholds justice in every aspect of life

Abstract

Tolerance, or tasamuh, is a fundamental value in Islamic religious education that should be cultivated from an early age within the school setting. Nevertheless, many students still demonstrate a lack of mutual respect during the learning process. This research aims to examine the influence of the Peer Tutoring instructional method on students’ tolerance attitudes and learning achievements in Islamic Religious Education among tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Selomerto. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. Data were gathered through observations, questionnaires, and achievement tests, then analyzed using t-tests and N-Gain calculations. The results showed a statistically significant difference between the experimental group that implemented Peer Tutoring and the control group, with a t-score of -7.621 and a p-value of less than 0.001, along with an average increase of 22.250 points in learning outcomes. Regarding tolerance attitudes, a significant distinction was also identified, marked by a t-value of -18.695 and a p-value below 0.001, with a mean difference of 13.500 points. The N-Gain analysis revealed a moderate level of improvement, with the experimental group scoring 0.55 and the control group scoring 0.49. These findings indicate that the Peer Tutoring method is an effective strategy for improving both students’ academic performance and their attitude of tolerance, and it can serve as a viable alternative for instructional practices in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

Education plays a vital role in shaping individual quality, particularly in terms of attitude and behavioral development throughout life. In the context of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning, challenges are still evident among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Selokromo, such as some students’ learning outcomes are not optimal, and display low participantion and self-confidence. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the STAD model in improving students’ learning outcomes and self-confidence in the fourth grade at SD Negeri 1 Selokromo. Using a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group type, the data were analyzed through non-parametric statistical tests. The results revealed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class, with Z = -4.284 and p = 0.000 (Wilcoxon test). A significant difference was also found between the experimental and control classes in terms of learning outcomes (Z = -5.964; p = 0.000) and students’ self-confidence scores (Z = -2.891; p = 0.004), based on the Mann-Whitney test. The average posttest score of the experimental group was 96, higher than that of the control group, which only reached 64. These findings confirm that the STAD model is effective in enhancing both learning outcomes and students’ self-confidence in PAI learning. Therefore, this model can serve as a relevant alternative in creating an active, collaborative, and meaningful learning environment at the elementary school level.

Abstract

21st-century education demands students to master communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. However, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in schools is still largely dominated by traditional lecture methods that fail to accommodate students’ diverse learning styles. This study aims to examine the influence of the Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition (AIR) learning model on students’ learning styles in PAI at SMA Negeri 1 Selomerto. The research employed a quasi-experimental method involving two groups: the experimental class using the AIR model and the control class using the lecture method. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires, and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test and Pearson correlation. This study found that the AIR model had a positive and significant effect on students' learning styles (U = 338.000, Z = -2.180, and p = 0.029). The learning style scores in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class, and there was a very strong correlation between the implementation of the AIR model and students' learning styles, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of r = 0.989 (p < 0.001). Thus, the AIR model is effective in enhancing students' learning styles in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), making the learning process more adaptive and meaningful.

Abstract

The imposition of sanctions in fiqh jināyat (Islamic criminal law) is inseparable from the values and objectives embedded in Maqāṣid al‑Sharīʿah, which aim to realize the common good and ensure the establishment of justice for all humankind. This article aims to explain the role of Maqāṣid al‑Sharīʿah in determining the forms and measures of ʿuqūbāt (penalties) in fiqh jināyat, ensuring that the application of criminal sanctions is not merely retributive but also incorporates the values of prevention, education, and rehabilitation. Through a descriptive‑analytical approach and a literature review method, this discussion focuses on the concept of Maqāṣid al‑Sharīʿah, the classification of penalties in fiqh jināyat, and the relevance of maqāṣid values in shaping more adaptive forms of ʿuqūbāt in the contemporary era. The results of this study reveal that Maqāṣid al‑Sharīʿah serves as a normative foundation that guides the application of criminal penalties in upholding substantive justice. In this context, the implementation of ʿuqūbāt not only acts as a deterrent for offenders, but also protects the five fundamental necessities of human life religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property from all forms of abuse. Grounded in the maqāṣid values, the Islamic criminal justice system can respond to the evolving challenges of the times, including the need to create social harmony and sustainable justice for all segments of society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memahami dan mendeskripsikan secara mendalam pengaruh lingkungan sekolah terhadap pembentukan karakter religius siswa kelas I di SD Muhammadiyah Dadapan. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya penanaman nilai-nilai religius sejak dini, khususnya di lingkungan sekolah dasar yang menjadi fondasi pembentukan karakter anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara terstruktur dan observasi partisipatif. Informan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas I, serta siswa sebagai subjek observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan sekolah yang religius ditandai dengan kegiatan keagamaan rutin, simbol-simbol religius, dan keteladanan guru berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter religius siswa. Siswa menunjukkan partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan ibadah serta perilaku sosial yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai religius seperti sopan santun dan kerja sama. Kolaborasi antara guru, sekolah, dan orang tua juga memperkuat proses internalisasi nilai tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif, pembiasaan rutin, dan keteladanan dari guru merupakan faktor kunci dalam membentuk karakter religius siswa sejak usia dini.

Abstract

The development of modern business is marked by intense competition, rapid market changes, and the The development of philanthropy in Indonesia is experiencing progress, marked by the emergence of various types of Zakat Institutions, one of which is LAZ Al-Irsyad. Zakat institutions are bodies that manage sources of funds received from muzakki and are one of the institutions whose role is to receive zakat or distribute zakat funds to people in need (mustahik). In this research, researchers are interested in researching muzakki's interest in paying zakat at LAZNAS Al-Irsyad Purwokerto because people's interest in paying zakat at zakat institutions is still less than optimal. This researcher aims to test the influence of zakat literacy on muzakki's interest in paying zakat at LAZNAS Al-Irsyad Purwokerto with religiosity as an intervening variable. This study uses a quantitative approach. Primary data from this research was obtained using a non-probability sampling technique with research sampling using purposive sampling. The population of this research is muzakki LAZNAS Al-Irsyad Purwokerto with a total sample of 202 respondents. This research uses the Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEMPLS) method by testing the hypothesis using SmartPLS software. The results of this research show that zakat literacy and religiosity have a significant influence on muzakki interest in LAZNAS Al-Irsyad Purwokerto, as well as zakat literacy has a significant influence on religiosity. Meanwhile, the mediation effect based on test results shows that religiosity is able to mediate zakat literacy on muzakki's interest in paying zakat at LAZNAS Al- Irsyad Purwokerto.
