Abstract

This study explores the theological and eschatological dimensions of Islam through a thematic approach to hadith, focusing particularly on the events of the Day of Gathering (Padang Mahsyar) and the intercession (shafa‘ah) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In Islamic eschatology, Padang Mahsyar represents a critical stage that manifests divine justice in its absolute form, where every individual is gathered and held accountable for their deeds. The Prophet's intercession is a central concept reflecting God’s mercy, conveyed through the Messenger, especially for those who uphold the oneness of God (tawhid). This research employs a qualitative method based on library research, using thematic analysis of hadiths from major sources such as Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. The findings suggest that a deeper understanding of Padang Mahsyar and the Prophet’s intercession can reinforce the faith ('aqidah) of Muslims while enhancing their moral awareness and piety in daily life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the effectiveness and contribution of the This article discusses in depth the concept of educators according to Az-Zarnuji's perspective in his book "Ta'lim al-Muta'allim" (Education for Learners), which is one of the important works in the field of classical Islamic education. Al-Zarnuji does not view educators solely as conveyors of knowledge (teachers), but also as moral guides (educators) and character builders (educators). This study stems from the phenomenon of moral decline, a crisis of role models, and a decline in the integrity of educators, which contradicts the values of Islamic education. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach, the discussion focuses on Az-Zarnuji's biography, his views on the nature, duties, and responsibilities of teachers, as well as the criteria for ideal teachers, which include knowledge, piety, honesty, fairness, and moral maturity. Al-Zarnuji also emphasizes the importance of the mystical and practical dimensions in education, namely the development of students' spirituality and the teaching of knowledge in a systematic, contextual, and useful manner for life. According to Az-Zarnuji, the ideal educator is a figure who combines intellectual intelligence, moral exemplarity, and spiritual sincerity, so as to be able to produce a generation that is educated, civilized, and has a strong character. This concept is still relevant as a philosophical and ethical basis for shaping the personality, professionalism, and moral integrity of teachers in a complex and spiritually difficult modern era, where teachers are expected to be able to deal with social and technological dynamics without forgetting the roots of pure Islamic values.

Abstract

Apart from being a method of cleansing the soul, Sufism is also a forum for improving deeds or actions in daily life. People sometimes ignore the quality of the practice of Islamic teachings themselves, that in every Islamic teaching there are Sufism values ​​that can be implemented and practiced. This research aims to analyze, explain and research more deeply the values ​​of Sufism contained in the lyrics of the song Pulang Karya from the music band For Revenge. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, namely by analyzing, reviewing, comparing and presenting data descriptively. The data sources in this research are the lyrics of the song Pulang Karya For Revenge and other relevant research sources such as research journals, research articles, books and so on. The results of the research show that the lyrics of the song Pulang Karya For Revenge contain Sufism values ​​that can be implemented in everyday life, such as in the lyrics There is no place as beautiful as home, There is no place as beautiful as there, I keep looking for direction. These lyrics can be interpreted as humans longing for the final goal of their life, namely the afterlife, because in Islam, life on earth is a field leading to the afterlife to achieve true happiness.

Abstract

This article examines physical education from the perspective of Hadith Tarbawi, highlighting the importance of maintaining physical health, nutrition, sleep, and cleanliness as integral components of Islamic education. The study explains how various prophetic traditions emphasize strength, discipline, moral integrity, and healthy living as characteristics of a strong Muslim. Sports such as running, swimming, archery, and horseback riding-practiced or encouraged by the Prophet-serve as foundations for building physical fitness and mental resilience. This article also explores the implementation of hadith values within physical education, including honesty, cooperation, discipline, and caring for the environment. These principles reinforce the holistic nature of Islamic education, in which physical, spiritual, and moral development are interconnected. The findings indicate that physical education in Islamic perspective not only strengthens the body but also shapes strong character and supports the optimal performance of religious duties.

Abstract

In the midst of the disruption of the digital era and the threat of moral degradation, learning to read and write the Qur'an (BTA) faces major challenges. Currently, BTA is often trapped in cognitive and psychomotor aspects alone—such as reading fluency—but ignores the affective aspect or internalization of spiritual values ​​into the souls of students. This study aims to analyze the BTA learning strategy as a local content subject in its function to strengthen the foundation of students' faith and morals, beyond just the technical ability to read. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach. Data were collected through literature analysis related to local content policies, Qur'an teaching methods, and character building theories. The results of the study indicate that an effective BTA learning strategy must integrate three main pillars: A competency-based curriculum and regional potential that emphasizes etiquette. The talaqqi and habituation method that connects the verses of the Qur'an with practical monotheistic values. A holistic approach that positions the Qur'an as a bulwark against extreme thinking and radicalism. This research proposes a reorientation of Quranic reading and writing learning, from merely eradicating Quranic illiteracy to a strategic instrument for strengthening ideology (aqidah) and morality (akhlak) through a local content curriculum that adapts to the challenges of the times. Education policymakers at the regional level are advised to develop BTA curriculum guidelines that focus not only on administrative targets for reading acceptance but also incorporate indicators of character (akhlak) achievement as a primary requirement for graduate competency.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping national insight in Muhammadiyah schools in Pringsewu Regency. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and curriculum document analysis. The results indicate that the PAI curriculum in Muhammadiyah schools has successfully integrated national values, such as patriotism, unity, and interfaith tolerance. PAI teachers actively teach these values in lessons that involve discussion and reflection. However, challenges include limited teacher training and the gap between traditional education and modern technology. This study suggests the need for improved teacher training and the use of digital literacy to support more effective teaching of national values. Overall, Islamic education in Muhammadiyah schools plays a significant role in strengthening students' national insight, with opportunities for further development through the use of technology and collaboration between educational institutions.
