Abstract

Surah Al-‘Alaq verses 1–5 as theological and philosophical foundations for the development of science, especially in facing the transformation of education in the digital era. The early verses of this revelation emphasize the importance of reading, learning, and seeking knowledge with spiritual awareness, as a form of obedience to Allah SWT. The research method used is library research, by examining classical and contemporary interpretations and relevant literature on technology and Islamic education. The results of the study show that the main message of Surah Al-‘Alaq is very relevant to modern challenges, where the development of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the way humans acquire and disseminate knowledge. However, Islam emphasizes that knowledge must be used responsibly, ethically, and for the benefit of the community. Therefore, digital learning from an Islamic perspective must remain based on spiritual values, prophetic ethics, and an orientation towards the benefits of knowledge. The integration of revelation and technology is key to creating a transformative and character-based education system in the digital era.

Abstract

This study explores the pivotal role of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan in founding and developing Muhammadiyah and his contributions to the modernization of Islamic education in Indonesia. The objective is to understand Ahmad Dahlan's strategies for purifying Islamic teachings and Muhammadiyah's efforts to modernize the educational system. The research methodology employed is a literature review, which involves gathering relevant information from various sources such as books, scholarly journals, and previous research reports. The findings indicate that Muhammadiyah, under Ahmad Dahlan's leadership, implemented modern educational management practices including planning, organizing, actuating, controlling, and evaluating. These practices successfully enhanced the quality of education by integrating religious and general knowledge, and by introducing more interactive and effective teaching methods and media. Regular evaluations and a robust organizational structure ensure that Muhammadiyah's educational programs continue to adapt to contemporary needs. The study concludes that Muhammadiyah's innovations and effective management have significantly improved the quality of Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to see the extent to which visual media is effective in supporting Islamic da'wah activities through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) tutorials at the Indonesian University of Education (UPI). This is because visual media is currently an important part of educational and da'wah communication, especially among the digital generation who are more responsive to visual information than conventional approaches. The approach used is a mixed method, namely a combination of quantitative methods with data collection through questionnaires and qualitative methods through interviews and observations. The results of the study show that visual media such as learning videos, social media content, and da'wah animations play a significant role in increasing students' understanding and acceptance of religious material. Digital platforms such as TikTok are popular media used by students to access da'wah content. The main factors that influence the effectiveness of visual media are the quality of the design and appearance of the media and the relevance of the content to the da'wah material. These findings indicate that visual media not only facilitate the delivery of da'wah messages, but also contribute to shaping students' religious attitudes. This study provides recommendations for the development of more contextual and communicative da'wah media to improve the quality of PAI learning in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine academic anxiety from the perspective of Muslim students. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with five Muslim students from various universities in Jakarta and its surroundings. The results of the study revealed that academic anxiety is influenced by internal and external factors, such as high grade demands, parental pressure, and fear of failure. Islamic values such as tawakal, patience, and ikhtiar are effective coping mechanisms in managing this anxiety. Religious activities, including prayer, supplication, dhikr, and reading the Qur'an, play an important role in calming the mind and strengthening students' emotional resilience. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating spiritual values into strategies for managing academic anxiety for Muslim students.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) explore religious activities in the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) strengthening project; (2) examine the implementation of the P5 project through religious activities among Grade VIII students at SMP N 3 Kalikajar Wonosobo; and (3) identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation process. The research adopts a quasi-qualitative approach, using theory to test or expand existing concepts. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, followed by data reduction, presentation, and verification. The findings reveal that religious activities within the P5 project contribute significantly to shaping students' character and morals by instilling religious teachings and Pancasila values in everyday life. The project fosters faith, piety, and independence, reinforcing the core values of P5. Key supporting factors include the enthusiasm of the school community, educators' strong religious understanding, and positive role models. Additionally, religious environments like Islamic boarding schools and TPQ (Qur’anic education centers) support the project’s success. However, several challenges hinder its implementation, such as students' inability to attend Dhuha prayer due to time constraints, inadequate prayer facilities, limited parental engagement, and insufficient support from external parties or the government for the development of religious infrastructure. These findings emphasize the need for collaborative efforts between schools, families, and stakeholders to optimize the impact of religious activities within the P5 framework and foster students’ holistic development in line with national character education goals.

Abstract

Character education in Islam has an important role in shaping the personality of students who have faith, morals and are socially responsible. However, in contemporary Islamic educational practice, the practice of character values is increasingly weakened. This research aims to examine the values of education in QS. Luqman:12-19 and sees its relevance to today's educational challenges. Using literature study methods and a descriptive qualitative approach, this research found that Luqman's advice contained important values such as monotheism, gratitude, respect for parents, amar ma'ruf nahi munkar, and humility. These values are conveyed through effective educational methods such as example, dialogue of affection, parables, and habituation. This research concludes that character education comes from QS. Luqman:12-19 is very relevant to be integrated into contemporary Islamic education as an effort to build a spiritually, socially and morally strong generation.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas konsep dan dimensi dari Eksplorasi ilmiah dan mendorong keingintahuan. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada analisis nilai nilai Al- Qur’an terhadap Eksplorasi ilmiah dan disukung oleh rasa keingintahuan serta pemikiran kritis yang terkandung dalam surah Al- Alaq ayat 1-5, Al- Baqarah ayat 164 yang menekankan pentingnya membaca sebagai awal dalam mencari ilmu. Al- Qur’an sebagai sumber ilmu pengetahuan tidak hanya mencakup pemahaman mengenai nyata saja tapi juga mencakup nilai- nilai spiritualitas dimana dalam surah dan ayat ayat dalam Al- Qur’an banyak sekali berisi Ilmu pengetahuan yang menjadi dasar suatu keingintahuan dilanjut dengan Eksplorasi sehingga ditemukanlah sebuah penemuan. Nilai dalam Al- Qur’an bukan hanya sebagai sumber ilmu saja tapi kita bisa melihat betapa besarnya kekuasaan Allah melalui ciptaannya.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for students with special needs (ABK) is a strategic issue in realizing inclusive and equitable education. This study aims to identify the challenges and formulate solutions for implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in PAI learning at SD Darul Fathonah Kudus, an inclusive school. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal several key challenges, including the limited competence of teachers in inclusive pedagogy, lack of adaptive learning resources and media, learning gaps among students with different diagnoses, and inadequate disability-friendly facilities. These results highlight the urgency of continuous teacher training, the development of responsive instructional media, and systemic support from schools and policymakers. This research contributes to the strengthening of contextual and humanistic models of Islamic education within inclusive settings. The implications call for synergy among practitioners, academics, and stakeholders, and suggest further exploration through multi-site studies and data triangulation to deepen understanding of PAI learning dynamics for students with special needs.

Abstract

This study explores the management of Islamic education grounded in relevant Hadiths. As the second primary source of guidance for Muslims, the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) should be actively applied by believers. The research highlights key aspects of Islamic education management, examining how Hadiths provide a framework for effective implementation, organization, execution, and evaluation, along with fundamental principles in this field. Through qualitative methodology and literature review, the study identifies four core concepts of Islamic education management: planning, organizing, actuating, and evaluating. Additionally, it outlines essential principles such as justice, sincerity, trustworthiness, honesty, and the promotion of good while preventing evil (*amar ma’ruf nahi munkar*). Practical applications include leadership, human resource management, learning management, and educational assessment—all supported by relevant Hadiths of the Prophet (ﷺ) to reinforce their validity and effectiveness.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought changes in communication and information dissemination, including in Islamic preaching (dakwah). TikTok, as a short-video-based platform, has become one of the media used by preachers to convey Islamic messages in an engaging and interactive manner. This study aims to analyze the role of TikTok in the dissemination of Islamic preaching, assess its effectiveness, and identify the challenges and opportunities in its use. The research employs a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to respondents who actively use TikTok to access Islamic preaching content. The collected data is analyzed using pie chart diagram techniques to observe audience engagement patterns with Islamic preaching content on TikTok. The findings indicate that TikTok is highly effective in reaching a broader audience, especially the younger generation. However, challenges such as the ever-changing platform algorithm and potential misuse of features exist. The implication of this study is the need for a more adaptive and innovative preaching strategy to ensure optimal dissemination of Islamic messages. Future research is recommended to further explore audience engagement patterns and the long-term impact of digital preaching on social media.
