Abstract

This quantitative study examines the relationship between customer purchase intention in Indonesia and environmental awareness, sustainable company image, and green product costs. Likert scale items were used to measure the dimensions in a survey with 279 Indonesian consumers as a sample. Regression analysis was performed on the data using SPSS version 26. The findings showed a strong positive correlation between customer purchase intention, green product price, sustainable company image, and environmental awareness. In particular, customer purchase intention was positively influenced by more environmental awareness and good opinions of business sustainability. Furthermore, Indonesian customers showed a readiness to pay more for environmentally friendly goods. Businesses and legislators seeking to encourage sustainability and ecologically conscious customer behavior in Indonesia should take note of these findings.

Abstract

This study employs bibliometric analysis to explore the expansive landscape of green marketing and consumer environmental awareness research. Utilizing data from VOSviewer, we analyzed thematic clusters, research trends, emerging topics, and author collaboration networks from a comprehensive dataset spanning several decades. Our findings reveal distinct thematic areas, including core marketing strategies, consumer behavior, corporate responsibility, and the critical evaluation of greenwashing practices. A temporal analysis indicates a shift in focus from traditional marketing tactics to nuanced understandings of consumer attitudes and the authenticity of environmental claims. Additionally, we identified potential research opportunities in underexplored areas such as green hotels and green markets, which could provide new insights into sector-specific sustainability practices. The author collaboration network analysis highlights a somewhat segmented academic community with opportunities for more interdisciplinary and integrative research efforts. This study not only charts the evolution and current state of green marketing research but also points to future directions that could bridge existing gaps and foster broader collaborative networks.

The renovation includes the addition of artistic and structural designed elements to reinforce the city's visual identity and attract more tourists. To grasp societal views, the survey method was utilized, reaching out to local residents, merchants, and tourists visiting the city. Research results show that most respondents positively embraced the changes at the Grand Roundabout, perceiving this new icon as a step forward in enhancing the city's aesthetics and tourism allure. Local communities express pride in the Roundabout's new appearance, considered more modern and reflective of Palangkaraya's progress. Many believe that the renovation brings a fresh ambiance and enhances the city's overall aesthetics. However, the survey also reveals some critiques and concerns. There are concerns regarding the renovation's impact on traffic around the Grand Roundabout, especially during peak hours, which could potentially lead to congestion. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers in designing and implementing similar projects in the future.
