Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penurunan penjualan dan meningkatnya persaingan pada Datanet Digital Printing di Palembang yang menunjukkan perlunya strategi pengembangan bisnis yang adaptif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merumuskan strategi pengembangan berbasis integrasi analisis SWOT dan Business Model Canvas (BMC). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan data primer melalui wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner terhadap 103 responden, serta data sekunder dari literatur pendukung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan posisi perusahaan berada pada kuadran strategi pertumbuhan agresif dengan kebutuhan transformasi digital pada aspek pemasaran dan hubungan pelanggan. Kesimpulannya, integrasi SWOT dan BMC efektif dalam merancang model bisnis baru yang mampu meningkatkan daya saing dan keberlanjutan UKM di era digital.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology presents a dual impact—both challenges and opportunities—for various business sectors, particularly Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This situation encourages MSME operators to continuously improve product quality in order to remain competitive in the market and meet increasingly high consumer expectations. This study aims to improve the pempek production process at the Pempek Koyek MSME through the application of the Six Sigma method using the DMAIC approach, which comprises the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control stages. The data used consists of primary data obtained through direct observation of production volumes and product quality throughout the research period. In the Measure stage, Defects per Million Opportunities (DPMO) were calculated, the sigma level was determined, and process stability was evaluated using a P-Chart. Next, the Analyze stage was carried out using a Pareto chart to identify the most prevalent types of defects, as well as a cause-and-effect (fishbone) diagram to trace the main factors causing the defects. The Improve stage focused on formulating improvement proposals based on the results of the process capability analysis, taking into account human resources, raw materials, working methods, machinery, and working environment conditions. Subsequently, in the Control stage, an R-chart is applied to ensure that process variation remains within controlled limits. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Six Sigma method can enhance the stability of the production process and maintain the consistency of the quality of the pempek produced.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve the causes of product damage in Alderon 830 during the loading process at PT Mulford Indonesia using the Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach. The analysis reveals four major types of defects, namely scratches, dents, holes, and center breakage. Scratches are the most frequently encountered defect. This study integrates the methods of 5W+1H, SIPOC, CTQ, DPMO, capability process, fishbone diagram. The research findings indicate that human factors, environment, method, material, and machine contribute to product damage. The aim of this research is to propose seven improvements, including enhanced direct supervision, reduction in custom production, improved coordination with suppliers, implementation of product labeling, proper storage positioning, monthly stocktaking supervision, and better forklift maintenance. The implementation of these improvements resulted in a decrease of 0.70% in the percentage of damage and an increase in sigma from 3.61 to 3.65. The research findings demonstrate the effectiveness of the Six Sigma DMAIC approach in identifying and rectifying the causes of product damage in Alderon 830.

Abstract

The furniture industry faces challenges in maintaining product quality to improve customer satisfaction and competitiveness. Agung Citra Meubel MSME still experiences defects in sofa products such as misaligned stitching, loose stitching, and scratches, which increase rework, costs, and processing time. This study aims to identify the defect level, determine the main causes of defects, and Analyze the performance of the production process in meeting quality standards. The method used is Six Sigma with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation during the research period. The results show a defect rate of 0.88% with a DPMO value of 1,470.59 and a sigma level of 4.5. Pareto analysis indicates that dominant defects are misaligned stitching, loose stitching, and scratches, while fishbone analysis identifies causes from human, machine, method, material, and environmental factors. Process capability evaluation shows Cp of 0.37 and Cpk of 0.36, indicating the process is not yet optimal. Control is carried out using an R-chart to maintain process stability. The implementation of Six Sigma effectively reduces defect variation and improves product quality, which is important for enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction overall.

Abstract

Maintaining consistent quality of crude palm oil (CPO) remains a significant challenge in palm oil mills, particularly due to fluctuations in Free Fatty Acid (FFA) levels that influence product value and processing efficiency. This study evaluates process capability and proposes quality improvement strategies at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV PKS Bah Jambi using the Six Sigma DMAIC framework. Production quality data were analyzed through control charts, regression analysis, fishbone diagrams, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Initial measurement revealed that the average FFA level exceeded premium standards with a sigma level below two, indicating limited process capability. The findings highlight Fresh Fruit Bunch resting time and overripe fruit as a critical factor affecting quality deviation. Improvement strategies emphasize reducing waiting time and stabilizing sterilization parameters. The study demonstrates that a structured Six Sigma approach can effectively minimize process variability while enhancing operational performance in palm oil processing industries.

Abstract

CV Panca Konveksi faces excessive workload due to limited workforce, which results in production delays and financial losses. This study aims to determine the optimal number of workers using the Stopwatch Time Study method. Data were obtained through direct observation of three work elements in the sewing process, namely body sewing, sleeve sewing, and neck sewing, which were analyzed using uniformity tests, data sufficiency tests, performance ratings, and allowances. The results showed that two existing workers bear a workload of more than 150%. Calculations based on standard time indicate that the optimal workforce requirement is three people so that the workload is at the ideal level of 100%. This study concludes that standard time-based work measurement can be an objective basis for workforce planning to increase efficiency and reduce dependence on external production.

Abstract

The decline in the effectiveness of the winding machine at PT Rubycon Indonesia reduces the productivity and quality of capacitors. The average downtime reaches 140 minutes per day with an OEE of 81%, below the world-class standard of 85%. This study aims to identify the causes of low machine effectiveness and implement improvements through OEE and Six Big Losses analysis. The method used is a quantitative and qualitative approach based on production data and six months of observations (July–December 2024). The analysis is carried out through OEE components (availability, performance, quality), Six Big Losses, and supported by Pareto and fishbone diagrams. After identifying the root cause, corrective actions are taken to reduce breakdowns and optimize the performance of the winding machine. The results show that the average OEE value after the improvements was 86%, indicating that the improvements have a positive impact on machine efficiency and performance. However, regular monitoring and maintenance are still required to maintain stable performance.

Abstract

Pengunaan plastik sebagai wadah atau pembungkus makanan dan minuman menjadi masalah setiap negara. Perhatian dan aksi terhadap sampah plastik menjadi prioritas untuk kepentingan lingkungan hidup. Hal ini dikarenakan sampah plastik sulit diuraikan dan menjadi bahaya bagi hewan yang terjerat atau termakan sampah plastik rumah tangga. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji rancangan reaktor sebagai inovasi penangan sampah plastik. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah uji coba dalam mengubah plastik menjadi minyak, uji nyala api yang dihasilkan oleh reaktor, dan pengujian FTIR untuk melihat kandungan gugus fungsi dari minyak. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan reaktor yang dirancang dapat mengubah plastik menjadi minyak pada suhu 175oC-250oC dengan pembakaran menggunakan kompor gas bertekanan tinggi dan minyak yang dihasilkan dapat menyalakan api. Hasil FTIR menunjukkan gugus fungsi minyak yang dihasilkan menunjukkan kesamaan dengan gugus fungsi bahan bakar minyak jenis solar.

Abstract

Selama proses produksi, di PT. XYZ masih terdapat berbagai macam permasalahan kualitas yang dihadapi. Salah satunya adalah permasalahan kualitas pada proses perawatan permukaan yaitu zinc phosphate coating. Berbagai macam jenis defect yang ditemukan secara visual seperti non-homogeneity, oxidation, dan charcoal effect. Tingkat kecacatan pada proses zinc phosphate pada tahun 2022 mencapai 3,08% dari total jumlah produksi setiap bulannya. Target Manajemen PT. XYZ untuk defect rate zinc phosphate adalah sebesar 1% dari total jumlah produksi tiap bulan. Dalam menyikapi permasalahan tersebut, perlu adanya upaya pengendalian kualitas, yaitu dengan metode Statistical Process Control (SPC) dan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Hasil pengolahan data dengan menggunakan Statistical Process Control (SPC) dan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) disimpulkan bahwa penyebab dari kecacatan zinc phosphate terjadi karena faktor manusia, bahan baku, lingkungan, mesin, dan metode. Dengan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) diketahui bahwa prioritas perbaikan akar permasalahan dengan urutan nilai RPN (Risk Priority Number) tertinggi terdapat pada defect non-homogeneity, dengan nilai RPN 504. Mode kegagalan tersebut disebabkan karena belum ada di Work Instruction (WI) dan Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) untuk standar takaran pengisian larutan akselerator maupun penentuan waktu penambahan larutan akselerator tersebut. Abstract

Sistem Informasi Inventaris Laboratorium Komputer di SMK Ibnu Sina dikembangkan sebagai alat untuk mencatat dan mengelola data inventaris. Tujuan utama dari sistem ini adalah membantu kepala laboratorium dalam melakukan pendataan aset laboratorium komputer dengan lebih efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang mencakup hasil wawancara, data perangkat komputer, serta perangkat pendukung laboratorium. Selain itu, data sekunder berupa jurnal-jurnal yang membahas sistem informasi inventaris juga digunakan sebagai referensi. Metode pengembangan sistem dalam penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan Rapid Application Development (RAD). Sementara itu, pemodelan sistem dilakukan dengan menggunakan Unified Modelling Language (UML), yang mencakup berbagai diagram seperti use case diagram, activity diagram, sequence diagram, class diagram, dan deployment diagram untuk mendeskripsikan alur sistem. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sistem informasi inventaris yang berfungsi sebagai platform pencatatan aset laboratorium komputer. Sistem ini memungkinkan kepala laboratorium untuk menyimpan dan mengelola data dengan lebih terstruktur, serta mempermudah pencarian informasi yang dibutuhkan. Pengujian sistem telah dilakukan menggunakan metode Black Box untuk memastikan fungsionalitasnya berjalan dengan baik. Sistem ini juga dirancang agar dapat diperbarui sesuai dengan perkembangan dan kebutuhan laboratorium komputer di SMK Ibnu Sina..
