Abstract

Genetic variability is an important factor for genotype selection in order to increase yield. A field experiment was conducted on “A comparative analysis of local maize hybrids, versus commercial maize hybrids: Assessing yield and yield components” was carried out at Cereal Crops Research Institute (CCRI) Pirsabak Nowshera during 2022, to check the performance of forty maize hybrids i.e., CHTW-1 to CHTW-40 along 2 checks (CS-220 and P30K08). Randomized complete block design (RCBD) was used with 3 replications. Two rows of each hybrid, each measuring five meters, were planted. The row-to-row and plant-to-plant distance maintained was 75 cm and 25 cm respectively. The seed rate used was 25 kg ha-1.  Statistical analysis of the data showed that maximum days to tasseling (60.67 days) were taken by check hybrid CS-220 while minimum days to tasseling (50 days) was noted in candidate hybrids CHTW-2 and CHTW-20. From the results it is concluded and recommended that the candidate hybrid CHTW-11 should be purchased and sown by the farmers as this is the finest, high yielding and cheaper as compared to other maize hybrids available in the market.

Abstract

This study delves into the effects of Moringa oleifera leaf extract (0%, 3%, 6%, and 9% V/V) on tomato plant growth. Employing a randomized design, the 6% concentration emerges as a key player, significantly boosting performance. Results include heightened leaf count, increased height, larger and heavier fruits, improved firmness, volume, and elevated chlorophyll content. Intriguingly, the 9% concentration indicates a potential for increased branches, suggesting enhanced fruit production. Fruit pH remains consistently unaffected across treatments. Integrating moringa leaf extract, particularly at 6% and 9%, not only enhances tomato plant productivity and fruit quality but also lays the ground work for sustainable cultivation practices. This research contributes valuable insights for optimizing growth conditions, there by offering a pathway to improving overall crop yield and agricultural sustainability.

Abstract

This critical review examines three selected papers that employed content analysis to investigate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) communication issues. The advantages of content analysis include non-reactivity, non-obtrusiveness, and the ability to conduct longitudinal studies using archive materials. However, it also suffers from time-consuming analysis, subjectivity in coding, and the disregard for context. The studies share a common focus on CSR communication issues and the utilization of content analysis. They highlight stakeholders' visibility, prominent CSR issues, and the tone of coverage in newspapers. Nonetheless, differences exist in the geographical scope and methodological transparency. In conclusion, content analysis offers valuable insights into CSR communication issues, but its limitations must be addressed. Future research should adopt systematic and transparent sampling and coding techniques, compare different newspapers and cultural contexts, and consider combining content analysis with other methods for a comprehensive understanding. Expanding research across various countries and considering cultural dimensions promises richer data and deeper insights into CSR framing by business newspapers.

Abstract

Raw materials have an important role in a company's production activities. Companies need to control raw material inventory because it affects the smooth production process. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the application of the EOQ method (Economic Order Quantity) can optimize raw material inventory costs at PT. Bumi Sarana Concrete (Kalla Block). The analytical method used is the EOQ method (Economic Order Quantity), total inventory costs, order frequency, safety stock and reorder point (Re Order Point). The results of this study indicate that using the EOQ method (Economic Order Quantity) can optimize raw material inventory costs. This is proven by the savings generated by the EOQ method. The results of the study show that there is a positive and significant influence of discipline, loyalty and leadership on work productivity. This is evidenced by the results of the test carried out by the t test by looking at the significant value of t count of 0.000 < from the significant level (0.000 < 0.05). Based on the results of the t test that has been carried out on the discipline variable (X1) on work productivity (Y) a value of 0.048 < 0.05 is obtained, besides that it is known that the significant value of X1 to Y is 0.250. Based on the results of the t-test that has been carried out on the loyalty variable (X2) on work productivity (Y) the value is 0.039.

Abstract

This paper is to find the results of the implementation of the variables used in this paper which have been used in the research findings, problems and phenomena in this paper as illustrations and solutions from the research findings in the literature. A thorough literature review was conducted as part of the research methodology for this paper. A selection of related scientific articles were collected, analyzed, and reviewed as part of the literature review. The scope of the study was determined based on scores using the PICO framework (population problem, intervention, comparison). The implementation of these three variables already exists, but it is not related to all the variables in one literature in one paper, this paper provides an answer that these variables already exist, and the problems presented above are answered even though they are not optimal and satisfactory in the paper this. The implementation of the three variables in qualitative results is proven and answers problems that are not yet satisfactory.

Abstract

The existence of the becakayu toll road overpass creates open space under the road that needs to be managed because it makes the environment dirty, dusty, irregularly planted, and useless. This research aims to identify open space under the becakayu toll road as a basis for determining the eco-farming zone. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using field observations, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The results showed that the current utilization of the becakayu toll road is not well organized (70%). Used as greening (50%), used as parking (20%), used as a sidewalk for skateboarding and cycling activities (17%), used as a fish pond (10%), and used as a place to sell (20%). From this study, the becakayu toll road can be utilized as an eco-farming area (93%). The benefit of this research is that the space under the becakayu toll road will be organized and efficiently used for the needs of the community and the surrounding environment.
