Buku ini menggabungkan pemikiran dari ekonomi, teologi, etika, hukum, dan kebijakan publik untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana agama dan keuangan memengaruhi kesejahteraan ekonomi. Abstract

Kepemimpinan memegang peran penting dalam mencapai tujuan dan mengarahkan dinamika dalam setiap komunitas, organisasi, dan masyarakat. Paradigma kepemimpinan terus berkembang seiring perubahan sosial, budaya, dan nilai-nilai masyarakat. Dalam Kekristenan, teladan utama kepemimpinan adalah Yesus Kristus, yang dalam Injil Markus digambarkan melalui tindakan dan perkataan yang mencerminkan kepemimpinan yang melayani. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji teladan kepemimpinan Yesus dalam narasi Injil Markus dan mengevaluasi relevansinya bagi kepemimpinan masa kini, baik dalam konteks gereja maupun masyarakat umum. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan tafsir naratif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi prinsip-prinsip kepemimpinan Yesus yang menonjol, seperti kerendahan hati, pengorbanan diri, dan orientasi pada pelayanan yang penuh kasih. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan Yesus yang melayani dan mengutamakan kasih serta keselamatan bagi umat, memberikan model kepemimpinan yang relevan dan inspiratif dalam menghadapi tantangan kepemimpinan modern. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi teoritis dan praktis bagi pemimpin Kristen maupun pemimpin lainnya yang ingin mengadopsi gaya kepemimpinan yang berlandaskan pelayanan.   Kata Kunci: Narasi, Kepemimpinan, Penokohan, Klimaks

Abstract

This study examines dysfunctional leadership within churches due to the intervention of wealthy congregants. Dysfunctional leadership refers to a situation where leaders fail to effectively fulfill their duties and responsibilities, often driven by greed, pride, envy, and inefficient resource management. While the involvement of wealthy congregants sometimes provides financial support, it often brings negative impacts if their motivations lack genuine faith. This can lead to internal conflicts, resource allocation injustice, and even corruption, transforming the church from a place of spiritual growth into a profit-oriented organization. The study employs a qualitative method based on literature review to analyze the causes, indicators, and impacts of dysfunctional leadership on church organizations. Findings indicate that dysfunctional leadership undermines congregational trust, hinders spiritual growth, and distorts the church’s primary function as a faith-based community. Indicators include authoritarian tendencies, lack of collaboration, inefficient resource usage, and leaders prioritizing personal interests over serving the congregation. To address these issues, church leaders must first undergo profound spiritual growth, understand the motivations of congregants, especially wealthy ones, and manage resources equitably and transparently. Transparency in financial management is also essential to prevent conflicts and uphold the church’s integrity. By focusing on spiritual growth, prudent management, and strict oversight, churches can overcome dysfunctional leadership and fulfill their mission as a genuine place for faith and spiritual development.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research explores the critical role of music leadership in fostering congregational engagement during Christian worship. Focusing on the Imanuel GPM Amahusu congregation in Ambon, this study investigates how music leaders act as catalysts for emotional and spiritual connection through the harmonious integration of theological principles, local cultural elements, and modern musical aesthetics. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Thematic analysis revealed three main themes: the collaborative role of music leaders, adaptation to modern music preferences, and preservation of traditional liturgical values. To ensure data validity, triangulation, discussion with experts, and member checking methods were used. The findings highlight the strategic contribution of music leadership in balancing innovation and tradition, creating transformative worship experiences. The research contributes a new framework for understanding the role of music leadership in enhancing congregational engagement and offers practical insights for church leaders in navigating the complexities of modern worship contexts. It underscores the need for ongoing training and collaboration among music leaders to maintain the relevance and spiritual impact of liturgical practices in a pluralistic society. Abstract

Kisah Salomo dalam 1 Raja-Raja 3:3-15 memberikan gambaran mendalam tentang pentingnya hikmat dalam kepemimpinan. Artikel ini menganalisis peran hikmat berdasarkan perspektif teologi Alkitab, dengan menyoroti prinsip-prinsip kepemimpinan dan relevansinya dalam konteks modern, termasuk kepemimpinan dalam kewirausahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur dan analisis teks Alkitab untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana hikmat dapat mendukung keputusan pemimpin dalam menyelesaikan konflik, melayani masyarakat, dan mencapai tujuan bersama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hikmat yang berakar pada nilai-nilai spiritual memiliki implikasi besar bagi keberhasilan pemimpin di berbagai bidang.

Abstract

Resistance to the norms used in indigenous peoples is an effort to provide an instrument of equality to all indigenous peoples for the preservation of culture and the strengthening of communal identity. This article discusses the traditional leadership hegemony used by the nobility which continues to experience criticism from the indigenous peoples themselves. Symbolic resistance in the implementation of customs began to be shown in every feast or activity involving customs. The method used in this study is a qualitative method through a postcolonial hermeneutic approach. A leader is said to be a transformative leader if he is able to bring change in the realm of the organization and the development of its members. The link with the traditional leadership in the indigenous Rante Balla community is that it still adheres to the feudal system. Where leaders are determined from lineage and are still valid for generations in indigenous peoples. In contemporary society, according to the author, this leadership style is a leadership style that needs to be transformed so that it is able to adjust to the context of society that develops in various aspects. People who are already restless with this traditional leadership style need to hold resistance or resistance to ideas made unilaterally and imposed by those who consider themselves to be nobility.

Abstract

Social entrepreneurship is an innovative approach that combines social goals with entrepreneurial principles. This study aims to explore the practice of social entrepreneurship at Balai Karya Berkat Salatiga and its role in developing life skills for persons with disabilities. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, the research found that Balai Karya Berkat Salatiga successfully created an inclusive environment that supports the economic and social empowerment of persons with disabilities. The results show that social programs in the form of entrepreneurship skills training can enhance the independence and self-confidence of persons with disabilities. These findings have significant implications for developing a sustainable community-based empowerment model.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of Christian ethics in the development of sustainable business, focusing on how Christian moral principles can be applied in the business context to create practices that not only prioritize profit but also contribute to social welfare and environmental sustainability. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive with a library research approach. The researcher gathers and analyzes various literature related to Christian ethics, business sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. The results of the study indicate that Christian ethics, through principles such as love, justice, and integrity, can serve as a foundation for building sustainable businesses. Additionally, the application of Christian ethics in business can assist companies in balancing economic goals with social and ecological responsibilities, which in turn can enhance the company’s reputation and provide positive impacts on society and the environment. This research suggests that companies should pay more attention to Christian moral values in every business decision to achieve long-term sustainability in a more responsible manner.

Abstract

Dalam kepemimpinan baik umum maupun Kristiani dikenal sejumlah aspek yang saling berkaitan satu dengan yang lain. Tiga aspek utama yang menjadi penekanan dalam penelitian ini adalah: transformasi, negosiasi dan komitmen dalam kepemimpinan Kristen. Kepemimpinan transformasi bertujuan mengubah diri dan orang lain. Negosiasi berkaitan dengan cara mencari titik temu kesepakatan guna tujuan tertentu. Sadangkan komitmen berkaitan dengan keteguhan hati dalam menjalankan ikrar yang pernahh disampaikan. Ketiadaan akan ketiga hal ini akan berakibat serius dalam kepemimpinan, yaitu tidak adanya kewibawaan lagi. Melalui kehidupan seorang tokoh dalam Perjanjian Lama, peneliti melihat adanya keteladanan dalam ketiga hal utama tersebut yang diharapkan dalam diterapkan dalam kepemimpinan masa kini, yang sekalipun dalam konteks berbeda namun masih sangat relevan karena bersumber dari firman Allah yang kekal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to educate church members/society who have been hypnotized and even exploited by technology. They forget that, in order to access te internet, they have to spend money, because it can make us decline (financially) due to internet addiction. Meanwhile, the owners of platfroms, for example, are getting richer (capitalists). The research method used is qualitative, literature review approach by examining books/journals that are coherent whit the topic, especially axamining Karl Marx’s perspective regarding dialectical materialism, to find its coherence ini cyberspace. The results to the study show that the digital word (cyberspace) was born because of material, from this material gave birth to new technologies which in turn produced more material. Therefore, there is a dialectical materialism in cyberspace, for example users create content with capital (material) that expects more material, unaware that the only beneficiaries are paltfrom owners (capitalists). In building contemporary theology as a response to the development of dialectical materialism in cyberspace, the author offers three things: first, a contextual theology approach. By contextualizing theological teachings, it can answer the problems of digital capitalism. Second, a liberation theology approach, which provides a perspective so that those exploited by the world of digital capitalism can be free. Third, the development of digital postcolonial theology. This is done as an effort to break down global capitalism in digital space, so that the curch community is free from the shadows of digital imperialism.
