Abstract

This article aims to break down the hidden barriers that make it difficult for women to become leaders like men. Gender equality has provided opportunities for men and women to receive education and empowerment, but women still experience obstacles in becoming leaders. The author responds to this problem by analyzing the Korean drama "Queen Woo" and the text of 1 Timothy 2:11-12 using the revised correlation approach. The author finds that the text of 1 Timothy 2:11-12 is Paul's sensitivity because of the honor and shame culture. Paul's command is an effort to restore the honor of men and women according to the values and standards of patriarchal honor. Men drew their honor because of their work, and women drew their honor because of their manners. The drama Queen Woo shows the superior character to fight against the male monopoly on superiority. The author recommends that the church and society deconstruct the patriarchal legacy of the concept of honor and its relationship to gender. Women also need to be respected and their superiority recognized. Men and women must get equal superiority factually and through social recognition and respect.

Abstract

Christian leadership in the 21st century faces the tension between managerial expectations and spiritual authenticity. Contemporary models often emphasize strategic planning, institutional hierarchy, and charismatic influence. In contrast, biblical leadership is portrayed as emerging through divine calling, spiritual formation, and character refinement. This paper explores the concept of authentic leadership through the lens of biblical narratives using a qualitative, descriptive-theological approach. By analyzing the lives of Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Saul, David, Solomon, and Jesus Christ, the study highlights how authentic leadership in the Bible is consistently associated with suffering, humility, obedience, and divine appointment. The analysis integrates contemporary authentic leadership theory with biblical theology to construct a framework of leadership grounded in spiritual integrity. The study argues that such a model is highly relevant for contemporary church leadership and proposes a renewed understanding of ecclesiastical authority rooted in servanthood, submission to God, and moral responsibility.

Abstract

This study addresses the financial and institutional limitations faced by rural local churches in establishing Church-Owned Enterprises (Badan Usaha Milik Gereja/BUMG), with a specific focus on the Oikumene Indangsari Congregation in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Although the congregation does not yet operate a formal business entity, it is supported by an economically active community of entrepreneurs, indicating significant potential to support church-led economic initiatives. Employing a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory descriptive design, the research utilizes interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and a Guttman scale questionnaire. The findings reveal that the congregation's entrepreneurs possess strong spiritual and social commitment, substantial entrepreneurial experience, and active roles in the church’s organizational structure. Nevertheless, limitations in managerial capacity and business formalization remain challenges. The study concludes that the active participation of congregation members serves as a strategic asset for developing a BUMG, especially when supported by targeted training, mentoring, and a professional institutional framework. The BUMG holds promise as a collective platform that integrates faith-based values with economic practices, fostering both the sustainability of ministry and the financial autonomy of the local church.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of theological values into modern entrepreneurship, particularly in shaping an ethical, inclusive, and sustainable business paradigm. The background lies in the shift of business orientation from merely pursuing financial profit to embracing social responsibility, justice, and environmental sustainability. Theological principles such as stewardship, social justice, and love are considered as moral foundations that guide business decision-making. The research employs a qualitative approach, combining case study and descriptive-analytic methods. Data were collected through literature review and observation of entrepreneurial practices that integrate spiritual dimensions. Analysis was conducted interpretatively to identify patterns and meanings that emerge from theologically grounded business practices. Findings reveal that theology-based entrepreneurship extends the triple bottom line (profit, people, planet) by adding a fourth dimension: spirituality. Entrepreneurs driven by faith tend to uphold integrity, transparency, and social as well as ecological concern. Spiritual values also foster eco-friendly innovation, strengthen customer and employee loyalty, and enhance the social contribution of businesses within communities. This study concludes that the integration of theology and entrepreneurship not only opens new interdisciplinary perspectives for academia but also provides practical alternatives. Theology-based entrepreneurship can serve as a transformative agent that promotes justice, sustainability, and the well-being of all creation.

Abstract

The abundance of studies on Leadership theory and practice needs to be balanced with an explanation of Followership theory and practice, considering that followership is a critical element in Leadership studies that is rarely observed. One quite phenomenal aspect of Followership Theory is the categorization of followers initiated by Robert Kelley. Kelley stated that so far there are five categories of followers. The researcher wanted to see what the Bible's perspective is on Kelley's five categories of followers. This is very important considering that in the Bible there are quite a lot of leaders used by God but the behavior of the followers of those leaders is rarely described. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach and exegesis of several biblical passages related to Followership and its implications for the practice of Christian Leadership today.
