Abstract

Indonesia's rice sector was once self-sufficient due to government support, macroeconomic policies, and technological advancements like the Green Revolution in lowland rice cultivation. However, the Cengkeh Turi sub-district in Binjai City, North Sumatra, faces welfare issues such as lack of capital, polluted soil, uncertain rice prices, limited land area, poor quality seeds, plant pests, lack of human resources, and a lack of government involvement in agriculture. This research aims to analyze factors such as seed type, fertilizer type, labor, land conversion, capital, distribution, and climate to improve the welfare of farmers in Cengkeh Turi Village. Data processing using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Multiple Linear Regression was used. Results showed that distribution, climate, labor, and land use change factors significantly impact the welfare of the community in Cengkeh Turi Village, while the type of seed and fertilizer type had a positive effect on the welfare of the community in Kelurana Cengkeh Turi. The study highlights the need for improved agricultural practices and government support to improve the welfare of farmers in Cengkeh Turi Village.

Abstract

This research tries to analyze the empowerment of the Balalak community in the Landak Regency. By uncovering the challenges and opportunities that exist in the process. A study of community empowerment as facilitators in Balalak highlights how communities can empower institutions to meet needs by encouraging development. By examining regional community empowerment, this research provides insight for stakeholders and policymakers. This research is qualitative research with an exploratory approach; The use of an exploratory approach in this research aims to analyze more deeply and describe the circumstances of the phenomena that occur and are directly related to the situation or place. It is hoped that the research results will provide in-depth insight into Community Empowerment to improve the sustainability of development at the local level. With this approach, this research not only tries to detail the concept and role of Community Empowerment through Balalak Local Wisdom but also tries to understand its implementation in everyday community practice. Through these steps, it is hoped that this research can positively contribute to the sustainable development literature and pave the way for similar developments in various local contexts.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research work is to find out the place of the mass media and opinion leaders in community development, using a study of Aniocha-North local government area of Delta State as a case in point. The method employed in gathering information for this study is the survey method of data collection using questionnaire and personal interview as primary sources while the use of journals, books, libraries, schools etc formed the secondary source of at collection. It was discovered that information from the mass media gets to members of Aniocha community through opinion leaders. Lazarfied and others said was true in Anicha community as it related to the community development of the town. Finally, since it is believed by the rural dwellers that mass media has not done any thing positive to change lives, the mass media should create the sense of identification through the propagation of common cultural value and symbol and by giving desirable interpretation of event.

Abstract

The rubber tree (natural rubber) is a tropical crop around the world. In Cambodia, rubber is one of the most popular agro-industrial crops introduced since the 1910s. This study review article aims to demonstrate the methods for planting and harvesting techniques in rubber plantations. Cultivation is the most important factor in the rubber sector, and planting is done during June and July. Moreover, selecting varieties of clonal rubber is the best way to improve high production, high initial vigor, tolerance to climate change, pests, wind damage, and diseases, and to be a good secondary characteristic. In addition, harvesting techniques are vital elements in the status of rubber plantations. So, improving the methods of cultivation and the techniques of harvesting is very important in order to get a high amount of rubber production.

Abstract

Tourism generates demand for goods and services, leading to various industries such as craft, consumer products, service, and restaurants. Langkat Regency, particularly in Sei Bingai District, has numerous tourist attractions, including Pelaruga natural baths and seven angels in Rumah Galuh Village. However, these attractions face obstacles such as lacking a Base Transceiver Station (BTS), public toilets, visitor huts, and promotions. Additionally, infrastructure such as roads, electricity networks, clean water, and communications networks is lacking. This research aims to analyze capital factors, business location, type of merchandise, selling price, promotion, infrastructure, and number of visitors relevant to the income of MSMEs in Rumah Galuh Village, Langkat Regency. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) is used to analyze data. Results show that facilities and infrastructure, number of visitors, promotion, and capital have a significant effect on MSMEs' income in Rumah Galuh Village, while business location, type of goods, and selling price have a negative effect. The results of simultaneous hypothesis testing show that facilities and infrastructure, number of visitors, promotion, and capital together have a positive and significant effect on MSMEs' income in Rumah Galuh Village

Abstract

Higher education is using DLL more. Both teachers and students are used to digital learning. We have several digital learning examples. Teacher and student struggles with digital learning, such as using it, persist. This study reviews five-year-old references on digital learning in higher education. The researchers reviewed the literature on digital learning issues in higher education to determine what lecturers and students encounter in teaching and learning. The results suggest that teachers and students encounter issues including readiness to use them. Teachers and students struggle with technology access in different places, thus they should be discussed.

Abstract

This study (1) examines how the Gallery Walk methodology helps class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Makassar write explanatory texts. (2) to evaluate the gallery walk model's effects on class X SMA Negeri 1 Makassar students' exposition writing activities and learning outcomes. The study is quasi-experimental. The study population is SMA Negeri 1 Makassar class X pupils. Study sample This sampled intentionally The designation is 52 person student. The experiment class has 34 students and the control class has 18. Research instruments These include interview instructions, sample observation sheets, student learning exercises, and tests. The Lilliefors test, Levene test, and independent sample t-test were employed to test data normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis. Hypothesis testing for student learning effectiveness yielded t counts > t tables (7.505 > 2.012) and significance 0.000 < 0.05, while student learning outcomes yielded t counts > t tables (6.699 > 2.012) and significance 0.000 < 0.05. Data shows that the gallery walk model improves writing exposition texts in class X pupils at SMA Negeri 1 Makassar better than the conventional model.
