Abstract

Gang Amal Market is one of the traditional markets that is still actively operating in South Belitung Village, West Banjarmasin District. Its existence attracts attention because it is only about 50 meters away from a modern market, namely a minimarket, even though South Kalimantan Provincial Regulation Number 12 of 2019 stipulates a minimum distance of 1 kilometer between traditional and modern markets. This situation raises questions about how Gang Amal Market has been able to survive and remain the choice of the community in meeting their daily needs. Nevertheless, Gang Amal Market remains in demand. This phenomenon shows that traditional markets are still surviving. The purpose of this study is to determine the profile of Gang Amal in Belitung Selatan Village, Banjarmasin Barat District. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that Gang Amal Market has been operating since the 1990s and is still in demand by the local community and those from outside the area. This market is open from afternoon until night and offers a variety of food and non-food commodities, with product quality being a priority for traders. Social and cultural interactions are still maintained, and the market is managed independently.

Abstract

Jaring Acil Baluh products are processed foods that are commonly found in Pingaran Village, Astambul District, which are known for their unique blend of Jaring flavors and Tahilala sauce based on hereditary recipes. Although it has advantages in terms of taste and cultural value, this business still faces various challenges in its marketing strategy which is carried out conventionally, especially in the aspects of packaging, promotion, and distribution which limit market reach. This study aims to describe the marketing strategy applied by the Jaring Acil Baluh production house through a descriptive qualitative method with observation, interview, and documentation techniques, as well as data analysis which includes data reduction, presentation, and verification through triangulation. The results showed that the marketing strategy of this business includes four main aspects, namely products with distinctive flavors and simple packaging, pricing based on the size and quality of Jaring, distribution through production houses and two branch stalls on the strategic route of Jalan A. Yani, and promotions carried out directly to consumers without utilizing digital media, as a form of adaptation in maintaining business sustainability in the midst of limited resources.

Abstract

The main issue in this study is the low interest of teenagers in the agricultural sector in Anjir Muara Kota Village. This condition has implications for the obstruction of farmer regeneration and potential threats to future food security. The purpose of this study is to identify the views of teenagers in Anjir Muara Kota Village towards the agricultural sector, where interest among teenagers in engaging in agriculture is declining. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research data consists of primary and secondary data, obtained through information gathering techniques such as observation, interviews, and literature studies. This study shows that the low interest of adolescents in the agricultural sector is influenced by economic, social, and technological factors, as well as a lack of environmental support. Adolescents consider agriculture to be financially unpromising, physically demanding, and low in prestige. Further research is recommended to explore a wider area and assess the role of education and technology in shaping adolescents' interest in agriculture.

The tools used in the production process of bubur randang are still simple, such as gas stoves, pans, spatulas, sieves, cloth bags, and manual scales. Based on the research conducted, it was concluded that Pemakuan Village is known as one of the sago production areas in Sungai Tabuk Subdistrict, with many residents involved in sago processing as a livelihood. Sago-based products have high economic and nutritional potential, with sago being equivalent to or even higher in calories than other carbohydrates, making it a popular food and supporting increased local income. Abstract

The snack food business Macaroni Borneo in Banjarmasin City has grown quite rapidly amid the high public interest in local snacks. However, this growth cannot be separated from production-related issues, especially in managing production factors that determine business continuity and sustainability. This study focuses on analyzing production factors, including labor, capital, raw materials, and the role of entrepreneurship in the production activities of Macaroni Borneo. The purpose of this research is to understand how each production factor is managed and to what extent these factors influence production capacity and continuity. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through direct observation at the business location, interviews with the owner and workers, and supporting documentation. The results show that Macaroni Borneo’s production is strongly influenced by the stability of raw materials, which still partly depend on suppliers from outside the region, limitations in labor at certain production stages, and capital management that is still carried out gradually. On the other hand, the owner’s entrepreneurial role becomes a key factor in keeping production running through flavor innovation, adjustments in production capacity, and adaptive decision-making. These findings indicate that business success is not solely determined by the amount of capital, but by the ability to manage production factors effectively in response to market conditions.
