Abstract

Aliran permukaan merupakan air yang mengalir di permukaan tanah dan merupakan curah hujan yang mengalir ke sungai atau saluran danau dan laut. Di daerah beriklim basah bentuk aliran yang mengalir dikenal sebagai aliran permukaan. Debit adalah laju aliran air (dalam bentuk volume air) yang melewati suatu penampang melintang sungai persatuan waktu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Catchment Area Sungai Hauran karena dapat dikatakan sebagai daerah tangkapan air bagian hulu dari Sub Sub DAS Apukan, Sub DAS Banyu Hirang, DAS Maluka. Analisis Aliran permukaan dan debit puncak dapat menggunakan Agricultural Non Point Source Pollution Model (AGNPS). Pengolahan data menggunakan model AGNPS diperoleh nilai tertinggi aliran permukaan pada sebesar 7,366 mm. Nilai aliran permukaan yang tinggi terdapat pada daerah tangkapan hulu, hal ini di pengaruhi oleh tekstur tanah dan tutupan lahan pada area tersebut. Besar nilai debit puncak pada outlet keluaran model AGNPS sebesar 3,063 m3/s , sedangkan nilai debit puncak tertinggi yaitu sebesar 3,390 m3/s

Abstract

Karwinaphthol B is a compound of the naphthoquinone group. Karwinaphthol B is a chemical compound found in Bawang Dayak. Karwinaphthol B is one of the compounds considered to have antidiabetic effects. Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that occurs when the body cannot produce enough insulin or cannot use insulin (insulin resistance) which causes blood glucose levels to rise (hyperglycaemia) under normal conditions. This study aims to see the potential of karwinaphthol B as a glucokinase inhibitor with parameters such as ∆G value and interaction of amino acid residues with molecular docking and pharmacophore studies using filter Lipinski, pkCSM, and SwissADME. The results of molecular docking showed that karwinaphthol B compound had potential as antidiabetic based on the ∆G value of -8.39 kcal/mole. Karwinaphthol B compound has an LD50 value of 2.168 mole/kg which is included in the non-toxic category; does not have hepatotoxicity, skin sensitization, and has a good bioavailability value. The interaction of Karwinaphthol B compounds with glucokinase enzymes at amino acid residues VAL62, ARG63, SER64,THR65, PRO66,  GLU67, GLY68, SER69, GLN98, MET210 , ILE211, TYR214, TYR215, CYS220, GLU221, MET235,  CYS252, LEU451, VAL452, and VAL455.

Abstract

Research on cytotoxic test of alkaloids extract of belimbing wuluh leaves has been conducted. The objective of this research are to determine the yield, toxicity, TLC chromatogram pattern, and compounds in alkaloids extract of belimbing wuluh leaves with GC-MS. Alkaloid extraction process uses acid base method, the phytochemical tests was carried out with reagents Dragendorff, Wagner and Meyer. Toxicity test of alkaloids extract of belimbing wuluh leaves with BSLT method on A. salina larvae to determine LC50 value. Alkaloids extract of belimbing wuluh leaves were analyzed by TLC and GC-MS. The yield of alkaloids extract of belimbing wuluh leaves obtained was 10, 13 %. The results of phytochemical tests were carried out which showed positive containing alkaloids. LC50 value of the alkaloids extract of belimbing wuluh leaves indicated that is very toxic. The LC50value obtained is 9.170 ppm. Analysis using TLC with eluent of n-hexane: ethyl acetate (8:2) showed 5 stains. GC-MS analysis showed are alkaloid compound with an odd molecular weight.

Abstract

Kayu alaban merupakan pohon yang dapat tumbuh di berbagai jenis tanah. Jenis arang kayu alaban memiliki karakteristik yang unggul dibandingkan dengan jenis arang lainnya. Arang kayu alaban memiliki kandungan karbon yang tinggi, yaitu sekitar 90%, sehingga arang kayu alaban menjadi salah satu bahan bakar yang sangat efisien dan ramah lingkungan. Arang kayu alaban cukup tersedia di pasar dan warung serta toko kelontong dan biasanya dipakai untuk kegiatan di dapur. Salah satu kelemahan arang tersebut adalah belum diaktivasi. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kualitas arang aktif dari kayu alaban dengan asam asetat sebagai aktivator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa arang tanpa aktivasi dan sesudah aktivasi memenuhi aturan yang mengacu SNI 06-3730-95 untuk kadar air (3,955% dan 3,345%) dan kadar abu (1,865% dan 2,895%). Arang setelah aktivasi memiliki daya serap iodium sebesar 761,58 mg/g telah memenuhi syarat SNI 06-3730-95.

Abstract

Analisis kandungan silika hasil ekstraksi merupakan limbah kulit padi Banjar varietas “Siam Mutiara”. Analisis dilakukan agar memperoleh informasi saintifik tentang efektifitas variasi dalam konsentrasi Natrium Hidroksida bagi kemurnian silika beserta produk pengarakteran menurut (FTIR) Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy dan (XRF) X-Ray Fluoresence. Teknik pengujian akan dilaksanakan dengan memanfaatkan kulit padi pada kawasan Desa Puntik Tengah, Kec.Mandastana, Kab.Barito Kuala, Kalimantan Selatan dengan melewati proses pembakaransekam padi pada suhu 200oC berlangsung dalam waktu 60 menit yang diteruskan dengantemperatur 600oC berlangsung dalam waktu 240 menit untuk membuat abu dari kulit padi Siam Mutiara dengan corak keabuan putih memiliki hasil abu sebesar 25,49%. Selanjutnya dilakukan metode ekstraksi menggunakan berbagai jenis kadar Natrium Hidroksida 1,0 M; 1,5 M; 2,0 M; 2,5 M; 3,0 M dengan produk ekstraksi silika yang paling menonjol pada konsentrasi NaOH 3,0 M yakni 7,6767 gram dengan 76,767%. Selanjutnya produk karakteristik pengenalan gugus fungsi menggunakan FTIR membuktikan sepenuhnya abu dengan silika pada kulit padi Siam Mutiara mempunyai kelompok yang paling menonjol yakni gugus silanol (Si-OH) dan siloksan (Si-O-Si), sementara itu karakteristik bahan penyusun berdasarkan XRF senyawa silika menghasilkan kadar yang paling tinggi adalah 42,2% yang dihasilkan pada konsentrasi NaOH 1,0 M.

Abstract

Quercetin is a polyphenolic flavonoid with potential chemopreventive activity. Quercetin is a chemical compound found in Solanum torvum Sw fruit. Quercetin is one of the compounds that are considered to have anti-inflammatory effects. Inflammation is a localized protective response elicited by tissue damage caused by physical trauma, damaging chemicals, or microbiology. Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α) is a proinflammatory cytokine that functions in mediating the innate immune response. Irregular production of cytokines can lead to various immunopathological conditions, including auto-inflammatory, autoimmune, and cancer-causing diseases. This study aims to determine the potential of quercetin compounds derived from turkey berry (Solanum torvum Sw.) which have the potential as anti-inflammatory drugs with parameters such as ∆G, the interaction of residues on TNF-α protein (PDB ID: 6X85) with molecular docking, and pharmacophore studies using Lipinski, pkCSM, and SwissADME filters. The molecular docking simulation results showed that the quercetin compound had a ∆G value of -8.55 kcal/mol and had amino acid residue interactions in the form of ILE155; TYR59; GLY121; TYR119; GLN61; TYR151; VAL123; LEU157; ILE58; GLY122; SER60; LEU120; LEU157. Quercetin has the potential as an anti-inflammatory drug on TNF- α protein with an LD50 value of 2.471; bioavailability value of 0.55; does not have hepatotoxicity and skin sensitization properties and has passed the Lipinski test.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze well logging data to determine the aquifer layer of drilled wells in Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency, South Kalimantan. This information is very important for sustainably developing groundwater resources in the region. This research uses well logging data collected from various sources, including resistivity, gamma rays, and spontaneous potential logs. These data are then analyzed using various techniques such as correlation analysis, log interpretation charts, and software to identify aquifer zones based on their characteristic log responses. The analysis succeeded in identifying potential aquifer layers in the wells studied. Aquifers are characterized by resistivity, gamma rays, and lithology. Based on the results of the analysis using WellCad data, four types of rock were obtained, namely: weathered rock (top soil), sand, clay, and sandy clay. Demonstrates the effectiveness of well logging data analysis in identifying and characterizing aquifer layers. Based on these results, it is known that the distribution of confined aquifers and unconfined aquifers has water-carrying properties. So overall it can be concluded that Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency has quite large deep groundwater potential because there are many layers of sand.KEYWORDS: Well logging; aquifer; groundwater; Hulu Sungai Selatan; South Kalimantan.

Abstract

Limau kuit is believed to be a local orange from South Kalimantan. Limau kuit has a distinctive aroma different from other oranges and is thought from its essential oil. The essential oil from limau kuit has the potential to be extracted and produced into valuable goods. Limau kuit essential oil from a combination of leaves and twigs has never been reported before. The composition of essential oils is influenced by genetic and environmental factors. The region producing limau kuit in Kabupaten Banjar is in Kecamatan Astambul and Kecamatan Aranio. These places geographically have different conditions, especially the altitude of the location, so it is thought to have a difference in the essential oils. This research aims to obtain essential oil from the leaves and twigs of limau kuit by hydrosteam distillation and determine the characteristics and composition of each plant's origin. Hydrosteam distillation was carried out for 6 hours at 60-70 °C. The essential oil of leaves and twigs of limau kuit is transparent pale yellow and has an aroma similar to the source with an average yield of 0.6027% (v/w) or 0.5062% (w/w). The specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation, and solubility in alcohol, respectively, of Astambul essential oil are 0.8540; 1.4792; (-14.05); and 1:6; and Aranio 0.8495; 1.4792; (+)0.16, and 1:7. Based on the results of GC-MS analysis, the components of Astambul and Aranio essential oils overall tend to be the same with a difference of 25%. Number of compounds in essential oil from Astambul was 32, while from Aranio was 38. The three main compounds in essential oils from Astambul and Aranio are g-terpinene, o-cymene, and (+)-bicyclogermacrene, with the respective %area in Astambul essential oil, was 25%; 13.22%, and 6.38%; and Aranio was 22.43%; 11.68%; and 5.88%.KEYWORD : Limau kuit leaves-twigs; essential oil; hydrosteam distillation; Astambul; Aranio.

Abstract

The use of empty oil palm fruit bunches as reinforcement in making composite boards has been carried out. Palm oil empty bunch fiber was obtained in the Kotabaru area, South Kalimantan. Palm oil empty fruit bunch fiber is hydrophilic which causes low adhesive properties between the fiber and the matrix so it is necessary to alkalize with 3% NaOH for 5 hours first. Alkalization has increased the cellulose content by 19.36% and reduced the lignin component by 9.04% and other components, such as hemicellulose, pectin, fat and others by 59.63%. Making composite boards uses the hand lay-up method and has succeeded in improving physical and mechanical properties. Water content according to SNI. The acoustic performance of composite boards shows significant results. The acoustic properties of composite boards without alkalization are sound absorbing, while with alkalization they are reflective. These results are supported by FTIR and SEM morphology results, which show that the interfacial bonding properties between the fiber and the matrix increase, thereby changing the acoustic performance of the TKKS composite board.Keywords:  Alkalization, hand lay-up, acoustic performance, absorption, reflection.

Abstract

One of the alternative technologies for generating electrical energy is a thermoelectric generator using the Seebeck effect method. This study aims to determine the effect of measuring angles and distances on the value of the Seebeck coefficient. This design consists of six peltier type TEC1-12706 in series and parallel, two digital multimeters to read voltage and current given a 10 ohm resistor, two DS18B20 sensors. waterproof to read the temperature from both sides of the thermoelectric with an aluminum plate on the hot side and a heatsink equipped with a 12 volt dc fan on the cold side, 20 x 4 character LCD, SD card module, RTC module and Arduino UNO R3 microcontroller. Tool temperature is made to get the comparison results obtained with an average error value with a range of 200C -100 0C of 1.330C sensor 1 and 1.150C sensor 2 and seen from the standard error value of the statistical test comparison of measuring instruments is 0.04 and 0.06. The design that has been made uses the Arduino IDE program to program and display data on the LCD and the RTC and SD card modules are used to display data in real time and store temperature data in the form of a notepad. Based on measurements of the thermoelectric output value with an angle of 600,900,1200,1500 and 1800 and distances of 5, 10, 15 and 20 cm using the heat source of the ironing elements positioned from the top, bottom and sides. The thermoelectric can produce a voltage of 0.22910 V and a current of 0.01238 A. The heater position from the side is connected in series and 0.05450 V, the current is 0.00261 A from the bottom in parallel which is obtained from the best angle of 600 at adistance of 5 cm.
