MSME Jaya Makmur is a business that operates in the Tempe trading sector. MSME Jaya Makmur produces soybean tempeh which has a total production of approximately 100 kg per day. Apart from being hampered by the lack of identity on the packaging, the owner of MSME Jaya Makmur realizes that the packaging is still very simple and requires development and innovation that focuses on consumer desires to be able to compete with competitors' products. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign packaging (re-design) to develop tempeh product sales. Packaging also plays a very important role in product marketing. Abstract

Enhancing employee productivity is primarily dependent on job satisfaction. Multiple studies have investigated elements that contribute to employee job satisfaction, such as the work environment. Nevertheless, prior research findings have displayed a lack of consistency, leading to current debates within the academic community. Researchers hypothesize that additional elements may influence the correlation between the work environment and job satisfaction, thus necessitating further analysis. A correlational method was utilized to collect data from a sample of 149 honorary employees. The data were evaluated using structural equation modeling (SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 3.0. The findings indicated the following: (1) a strong and statistically significant correlation exists between the Work Environment and employee Job Satisfaction; (2) there is also a positive and significant correlation between Job Stress and employee Job Satisfaction; (3) a positive and significant correlation was observed between the Work Environment and employee Work Stress; (4) Work stress plays a mediating role in positively and significantly influencing the relationship between the work environment and the job satisfaction of honorary employees. This study enhances the existing body of knowledge by providing fresh empirical evidence on the correlation between work environment and job satisfaction, with job stress acting as a mediator.

Abstract

One of the important parts of Indonesia's agricultural industry and the country's ability to meet the nutritional needs of its people is the cultivation of lowland rice. However, the productivity of lowland rice farming often faces obstacles such as limited resources (both financial and technological) and unpredictable market conditions (both in terms of price and production costs). This study aims to analyze how farmer groups expand the area of lowland rice cultivation to increase production. This study uses a qualitative approach by relying on secondary sources, collecting data through document reviews, and analyzing the data to produce findings or confirm them. Based on these findings, farmer income is greatly influenced by the combination of fixed costs and variable costs that form the cost structure of the farm. The use of high-quality seeds, consistent control, and careful control of fertilizers and pesticides are components of an effective production strategy. Ownership of storage facilities and the use of post-harvest machinery are post-harvest tactics. Money and good seed quality are the two most important variables in crop yields. Managing expenses efficiently and diversifying income through non-farm activities are equally important. In short, the secret to the success of lowland rice farming is effective management, appropriate cultivation and post-harvest techniques, and maximum utilization of available resources. If they want to use modern techniques, they need help and education.

There is a significant gap between finansial inclusion in Indonesia and finansial literacy knowledge. This research uses partial least square analysis with SMART PLS 3.0 analysis tool on 392 UPN Veteran East Java students as research objects. The findings of this study indicate that finansial inclusion can act as a moderator between finansial literacy and consumptive behavior on online loan interest. Conversely, finansial literacy has a significant and positive effect on online lending interest, while consumptive behavior has a significant and positive effect on online lending interest. Finansial inclusion cannot act as a moderator between finansial literacy and consumptive behavior on online loan interest.

Abstract

This study examines the evaluating effectiveness of musyarakah mutanaqishah financing at BPR Syariah Harta Insan Karimah, East Jakarta Branch, aimed at supporting asset ownership for community members in need. Despite its potential benefits, the process faces challenges due to payment delays from some customers. This research employs a participatory observation approach, utilizing qualitative descriptive methods with data collected through interviews and documentation. Findings indicate that BPR Syariah Harta Insan Karimah applies a profit-sharing scheme tailored for housing ownership, aligning with standard practices in Islamic banking. However, the bank enforces stringent credit evaluations, including a comprehensive review of customer credit history, to mitigate default risk. Customers with substantial arrears from other banks are ineligible for musyarakah mutanaqishah financing, reflecting the institution's commitment to prudent financing management. This study contributes to a better understanding of the operational standards and risk management strategies within sharia-based financial institutions.

Abstract

Profitability is essential for assessing company performance and attracting investors. This study aims to examine the effect of non-interest income, size, loan loss provision, capital adequacy ratio, overheads, non-performing loans, inflation, interest rate, and foreign ownership on the profitability of commercial banks in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, secondary data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Central Bureau of Statistics, Bank Indonesia, and company websites were analyzed over seven years (2017-2023) from 32 commercial banks, resulting in 224 financial statement data points. Panel data regression analysis with Eviews 12 was employed. The results indicate that non-interest income, size, inflation, interest rate, and foreign ownership do not significantly affect profitability. However, loan loss provision, capital adequacy ratio, overheads, and non-performing loans significantly impact profitability. These findings highlight the importance of managing problematic loans, maintaining a robust capital adequacy ratio, and improving operational efficiency to enhance profitability. The study suggests that company managers should also consider other factors such as financing decisions, asset utilization, tangibility, sales growth, and age to maximize profitability. Future research should explore different sectors and extend the study period to identify additional factors influencing corporate profitability, thereby providing deeper insights for strategic decision-making to improve financial performance.
