Abstract

This study aims to understand the factors that influence the decision of millennial generation employees in Denpasar City to leave their jobs (job hopping). The main focus of the study is the influence of career development and compensation on job hopping with employee engagement as a mediating variable. Denpasar, the capital city of Bali Province and a rapidly growing economic center was chosen as the research location to explore this phenomenon among millennials, especially those aged between 28 and 43 years and who have had at least two working experiences. This study uses qualitative and quantitative data obtained through questionnaires distributed to respondents. The results of the study indicate that although the assessment of career development, compensation, and job-hopping variables is quite good, there is room for improvement, especially in the aspect of employee engagement and several elements related to compensation and career development. This study emphasizes the importance of career development and compensation in increasing employee engagement and reducing the tendency of job hopping among millennial employees in Denpasar City.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of several factors, namely Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on the value of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, especially in the property sector. The data used covers the period from 2015 to 2018, with analysis using the multiple regression method. The results of the study indicate that profitability as measured by ROA and leverage represented by DER have a significant influence on company value. The higher ROA indicates the company's ability to generate profits from its assets, which in turn increases its attractiveness to investors and the company's value. In addition, DER serves as an indicator of how much debt a company has compared to its equity; a lower ratio is generally considered better because it indicates lower financial risk. In addition, the quality of corporate management through GCG has also been shown to have an important role. Good GCG increases investor confidence and strengthens the relationship between profitability and company value. In other words, well-managed companies tend to have better financial performance, thus having a positive impact on their market value. Overall, this study confirms that these factors interact and contribute to the market valuation of companies in the Indonesian property sector.

Abstract

The culinary industry in Indonesia has seen significant growth, driven by evolving consumer preferences and innovations in food presentation. Bento cakes, originating from South Korea, have emerged as a popular product with high demand, resulting in a rapid expansion of bento cake home industries. Despite this promising market, the growing competition poses challenges for business owners, particularly in developing effective marketing strategies. This study investigates marketing strategies by adopting an order-based marketing strategy and examines the operational challenges faced by bento cake home businesses. Utilizing a qualitative approach and phenomenological methodology, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation with business owners and customers. Findings indicate that an order-based marketing strategy enhances customer satisfaction by offering personalized services and improves production efficiency and transaction convenience. However, operational constraints include human error and limited customer understanding of the ordering process, often leading to dissatisfaction. Furthermore, while social media marketing contributes positively to business reach and engagement, issues remain in effectively communicating order procedures and managing operations efficiently. The study highlights the need for continuous production and order management improvement to mitigate errors and enhance customer comprehension. Recommendations include regular training for staff to minimize errors, refining information dissemination strategies on social media, and enhancing operational processes to optimize customer experience. These findings underscore the importance of adapting marketing strategies to maintain competitiveness in Indonesia’s dynamic culinary landscape.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of institutional image through customer satisfaction influenced by service quality, social media, and punctuality. By using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method through the LISREL 8.80 program, it was found that the variables of service quality (X1), social media (X2), and punctuality (X3) significantly affect customer satisfaction (Y) and institutional image (Z). The dominant dimensions of each variable are reliability for service quality, participation in social media, and accuracy of the service process for punctuality. In addition, customer satisfaction has a significant influence on institutional image, with the dimension of conformity to expectations as the most dominant aspect. The results of the analysis show that social media is the most dominant variable in influencing customer satisfaction, while customer satisfaction is the main factor in improving institutional image.

Abstract

This study seeks to assess how average years of schooling, job opportunities, population density, and local revenue affect poverty in nine cities within East Java Province from 2018 to 2022. The research utilizes secondary data and adopts a quantitative approach. A panel data regression method using a Fixed Effect Model (FEM) is employed. Findings indicate that average years of schooling, employment opportunities, and population density all have a significant negative impact on urban poverty. In contrast, Regional Original Income does not significantly affect urban poverty. It is crucial for the government to effectively manage local revenue to ensure equitable distribution among the population, particularly benefiting the poor.

Abstract

This study interprets the application of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) by Indonesian internal auditors. Employing Paul Ricoeur’s hermeneutic phenomenology and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), this research delves into the meaning of CSF from the perspective of internal auditors, including its adaptation to local organizational culture and the factors shaping its effectiveness. Key findings reveal that CSF transcends its role as a technical guide, acting instead as a driver for cybersecurity culture transformation. This study’s implications emphasize the necessity of cross-departmental collaboration, context-specific security policy departments, and the enhancement of internal auditor competencies. The novelty of this research lies in its application of in-depth interpretative analysis, showing CSF as an adaptive tool fostering cybersecurity systems attuned to Indonesia’s unique characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to identify variables that affect profitability in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The addition of the quick ratio variable as an independent variable is a novelty in this study. Liquidity is measured by the current ratio, net working capital, and quick ratio while company efficiency is measured using total asset turnover. Profitability is measured by ROA and ROE. This study also includes control variables such as size, age, leverage ratio, and company growth rate to analyze the effect on profitability. This research method includes collecting data from 20 food and beverage companies over five years (2019-2023) with a total of 100 data that meet the criteria with the application of data processing analysis using panel data regression analysis techniques. The results of the study found that the current ratio has a significant positive effect on ROA and has no effect on ROE. Net working capital, company size, and growth rate do not affect ROA and ROE. Total asset turnover has a significant positive effect on ROA and ROE. The quick ratio and age have a significant negative effect on ROA and do not affect ROE. In addition, the debt ratio has a significant positive effect on ROE and does not affect ROA. This study confirms that the efficiency of asset use and liquidity management plays an important role in increasing the profitability of companies in the food and beverage sector, especially through the effect on ROA and ROE.

Abstract

Burnout among public sector employees is an important issue due to the high work demands and pressures in the government environment, which impacts individual well-being and organizational performance. This study examines the effect of transformational leadership (TFL) and role overload on burnout among public sector employees, focusing on the moderating role of human resource management (HRM) practices. Data was collected from 415 employees of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that TFL plays a significant role in reducing burnout by providing vision, motivation, and support to employees. On the other hand, role overload was also identified as an important contributor to increasing employee burnout. In addition, the findings of this study highlight the dark side of excessive HRM that can weaken the positive effects of transformational leadership and have the potential to worsen employee burnout, so a balanced HRM approach that is oriented towards employee well-being is needed. Overall, this study provides insight into the interaction between TFL, role overload, and HRM and offers valuable knowledge for stakeholders related to HRM practices in the public sector.
