Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada dimensi hak dan kewajiban dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) di SDN 5 Kabila, sekaligus mengidentifikasi kendala serta upaya guru dalam penerapannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologis. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 5 Kabila dengan subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru kelas IV, V, dan VI, serta siswa kelas IV, V, dan VI. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CTL dalam pembelajaran PKn telah mencakup enam indikator utama, yaitu pengaitan pengalaman nyata siswa dengan materi pembelajaran, penyajian contoh atau teladan, pelibatan siswa dalam kegiatan eksploratif, dorongan untuk bertanya dan mencari tahu, penggunaan penilaian yang mencerminkan kemampuan nyata siswa, serta kegiatan refleksi. Namun demikian, penerapan indikator-indikator tersebut belum berlangsung secara optimal dan merata, terutama pada aspek penilaian autentik dan refleksi. Penerapan CTL dalam pembelajaran PKn telah mengarah pada pembelajaran kontekstual, tetapi masih diperlukan penguatan konsistensi penerapan seluruh komponen CTL, pengelolaan waktu yang efektif, serta pengembangan penilaian autentik agar nilai hak dan kewajiban dapat terinternalisasi dalam sikap dan perilaku siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management, utilization, and challenges encountered in using reading corners as a learning resource to improve the understanding of Social Studies (IPS) among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 19 Kota Bengkulu. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Primary data were obtained through interviews with students, teachers, and reading corner managers, as well as direct observation and documentation. Secondary data were collected from literature, school documents, and previous related studies. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the management of reading corners was implemented through curriculum-based planning, the organization of reading collections, the implementation of reading activities with teacher guidance, and evaluations that remain informal. The utilization of reading corners has been proven to enhance students’ understanding of Social Studies through directed reading activities, group discussions, and the use of contextual reading materials. The challenges identified include limited book collections, insufficient supervision, and low reading motivation among some students. The use of reading corners contributes positively to improving the Social Studies comprehension of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 19 Kota Bengkulu. Therefore, optimizing reading corners through better management, a more diverse collection of reading materials, and strategies to enhance student motivation is necessary to maximize their benefits

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic education faces challenges in integrating the transcendental values of the Qur’an with modern pedagogical demands. This article examines Sura Al-Ghāshiyah and Sura Luqmān through an integrative approach combining tafsir tarbawi and tafsir maudlu‘i to formulate a holistic framework for Islamic education. This study employs a qualitative method based on library research and content analysis of Qur’anic texts as well as classical and contemporary exegetical literature. The tafsir maudlu‘i approach is used to identify educational themes based on thematic unity (al-wahdah al-maudlu‘iyyah), while tafsir tarbawi is applied to analyze educational objectives, methods, and pedagogical implications derived from the two surahs. The findings indicate that Sura Al-Ghāshiyah emphasizes eschatological awareness and rational faith development through reflective engagement with nature (tafakkur al-kawni) and a non-coercive educational approach. Meanwhile, Sura Luqmān presents a family-based educational model grounded in dialogical instruction (maw‘izhah ḥasanah), exemplary conduct (uswah ḥasanah), and gradual character formation. The integration of these two surahs generates a holistic paradigm of Islamic education that harmonizes transcendental (afterlife awareness), rational (critical thinking), and ethical (character formation) dimensions. This model contributes to the development of Islamic education curricula oriented not only toward knowledge transmission but also toward consciousness transformation and the formation of a well-rounded Muslim personality. The study enriches the discourse on Qur’anic educational exegesis and offers a contextual and applicative methodological alternative for the development of revelation-based Islamic education.
