Abstract

The exclusion of 18 Indonesian stocks from the MSCI index in May 2026 represents a landmark event that exposed structural gaps in Indonesia's capital market regulations, particularly regarding shareholding transparency and retail investor protection. This study aims to analyze Indonesia's legal framework in responding to the MSCI 2026 exclusion, identify gaps in legal protection for retail investors harmed by massive forced selling by foreign institutional investors, and examine the implications of the exclusion for Indonesia's growing digital startup ecosystem. This research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches, referencing Law No. 8 of 1995 on Capital Markets, the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law, and relevant OJK regulations. The findings indicate that the MSCI 2026 exclusion stemmed from inadequate disclosure mechanisms for highly concentrated shareholding structures. Reforms implemented by OJK and BEI in April 2026 have not fully addressed retail investor protection gaps, particularly due to the absence of compensation mechanisms for losses resulting from forced selling. Furthermore, the resulting negative market sentiment has adversely affected pre-IPO digital startup valuations and weakened investor confidence in Indonesia's Securities Crowdfunding platforms.

Abstract

This study is intended to analyze the performance of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk financial through liquidity, solvency, and profitability ratios along the 2024–2025 period. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach using time series analysis based on secondary data obtained from audited annual financial reports. The indicators analyzed were Current Ratio (CR), Quick Ratio (QR), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE). The results indicate a decline in the company’s liquidity, as can be seen through the decrease in CR from 1.25 to 1.10 and QR from 0.85 to 0.79. Solvency remained relatively sound despite increases in DAR from 34.60% to 35.46% and DER from 0.55 to 0.57. Meanwhile, profitability experienced a significant decline, with Return on Assets decreasing from 0.93% to 0.25% and Return on Equity from 1.49% to 0.40%. These findings suggest that the company remains competent to fulfill its short- or long-term responsibilities; however, the effectiveness in generating profits has weakened. Therefore, improvements in operational efficiency and asset optimization are necessary to enhance future profit.

Abstract

The integration of Islamic economics and morality is an important aspect in developing an economic system that is not only oriented toward material profit but also emphasizes moral and spiritual values. From the perspective of the philosophy of science, Islamic economics has characteristics that differ from conventional economics because it is derived from the Qur'an and Hadith, which contain principles of justice, balance, responsibility, and public welfare. This study aims to analyze the integration of Islamic economics and morality from the perspective of the philosophy of science and to explain the importance of implementing both in modern life. The research method used is qualitative research with a library research approach through the collection of data from the Qur'an, Hadith, books, journals, and related literature. The results of the study indicate that the integration of Islamic economics and morality can create a more just, humane, and sustainable economic system. Moral values such as honesty, trustworthiness, justice, and social responsibility serve as the main foundation in economic activities, thereby preventing economic practices that contradict Islamic principles, such as usury (riba), uncertainty (gharar), fraud, and exploitation. Therefore, morality becomes the primary foundation in the development of Islamic economics aimed at achieving prosperity in both this world and the hereafter.

Abstract

Multinational corporations play an important role in promoting economic globalization through cross-border business expansion and investment. One prominent example is Samsung Electronics, which has established Vietnam as one of its major manufacturing hubs in Asia. This study aims to analyze the motives behind Samsung Electronics’ expansion into Vietnam, examine the implementation of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) based on the Ownership–Location–Internalization (OLI) paradigm, and evaluate its economic impact on Vietnam as the host country. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method by analyzing relevant academic journals, books, and official reports. The findings indicate that Samsung’s investment decision was driven by Vietnam’s location advantages, including competitive labor costs, supportive government policies, and well-developed industrial zones. The investment has generated significant positive impacts, such as job creation, technology transfer, enhanced manufacturing capacity, and increased national exports. However, it has also presented challenges, including dependence on foreign investment, competition with domestic industries, and the need to improve workforce skills to support high-technology manufacturing. Therefore, stronger collaboration between the government and the private sector is essential to ensure that the long-term benefits of foreign investment contribute sustainably to national economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of chatbot quality, response speed, and information accessibility on customer satisfaction in Indonesian e-commerce. A quantitative causal research design was employed using primary data collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 120 respondents, of which 105 valid responses were obtained (87.5% response rate) through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS. The results show that chatbot quality (t = 2.587; sig. = 0.011), response speed (t = 3.750; sig. = 0.000), and information accessibility (t = 2.919; sig. = 0.004) each have a positive and significant partial effect on customer satisfaction. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affect customer satisfaction (F = 15.342; sig. = 0.000), with response speed emerging as the most dominant predictor. These findings suggest that e-commerce platforms should prioritize chatbot responsiveness alongside service quality and information clarity to enhance customer satisfaction in the digital marketplace.

Abstract

Global trade is a crucial element contributing to the economic advancement of developing nations through export and import activities. This study aims to explore the role of global trade in enhancing the economic growth of developing countries while identifying the various factors influencing its effectiveness. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology was employed, examining five scholarly works published between 2016 and 2026 that address the relationship between global trade and economic growth. Data were gathered from diverse academic journals and analyzed using a thematic analysis method. The findings indicate that global trade has a positive impact on economic growth, evidenced by increases in Gross Domestic Product (GDP), foreign exchange earnings, investment, productivity, and economic sector competitiveness. Exports emerge as a primary driver of economic growth, whereas imports can yield positive outcomes when utilized to support domestic production processes. Furthermore, the effectiveness of global trade is influenced by government policies, human resource quality, economic stability, and the industrial sector's ability to withstand global competition. Consequently, international trade can serve as a vital strategy for fostering sustainable economic growth in developing nations, provided it is supported by appropriate policies and the strengthening of local economic capacity.

Abstract

Production planning is an important aspect of SME operations because it influences the ability of a business to meet consumer demand effectively and efficiently. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Aggregate Planning and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) at Dapoer Feraaa SME in Lamongan Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation related to production and sales activities. The results indicate that Dapoer Feraaa has implemented production planning by considering sales levels, market trends, and consumer demand. The planning pattern tends to follow a chase strategy, in which production volume is adjusted according to changes in demand to minimize the risk of excess inventory. The implementation of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) is carried out through coordination between marketing and production activities to determine production quantities based on sales data, market conditions, and product evaluations. In addition, social media is utilized as a source of information to understand consumer responses and market trends that support production decision-making. Although the business still faces challenges such as demand fluctuations, limitations in the availability of certain raw materials, and pricing decisions, the implementation of Aggregate Planning and S&OP helps align production capacity with market needs. This study demonstrates that the application of these two concepts can support the effectiveness of production planning in SMEs.
