Abstract

Education is the main foundation in forming a quality future generation. Teacher performance plays a central role in achieving the goal of quality education, but this performance is not only influenced by individual factors, but also by external factors such as school leadership and the quality of educational services. SMPK PENABUR Summarecon Bekasi, as the youngest school in the SMPK BPK PENABUR Jakarta environment, continues to strive to improve the quality of education and services, but to date the number of students has not reached the school's ideal capacity. Based on new student admission data for the past eleven years, the number of students still fluctuates and tends not to meet the school's capacity target. In addition, the results of the customer service index survey indicate that several indicators related to teacher performance and school services are still below the expected target. This indicates the need for an in-depth study of the factors that influence parents' decisions in choosing a school for their children, especially at SMPK PENABUR Summarecon Bekasi. This study aims to determine the influence of teacher performance and educational services on parents' decisions in choosing a school, with parental satisfaction as a mediating variable. Located at SMPK BPK PENABUR Jakarta and totaling 100 (One Hundred) Parents and all members of the population as well as samples so that this study is a census study. The results of this analysis indicate that all indicators used in this study are valid and reliable. This study uses a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Square (PLS) using SmartPLS 3.3 software. This study provides evidence of a positive and significant influence

Abstract

This study analyzes public acceptance of e-Government services in Indonesia using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), originally developed by Davis (1989), through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of national and international publications from 2015 to 2024. TAM positions Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use as key drivers of technology adoption behavior, and in the context of public services, is further influenced by external variables such as trust and system quality. The findings show that Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, and Trust are consistently the dominant determinants of public acceptance of digital government platforms. Although adoption rates continue to increase, digital literacy gaps, access inequality, interface usability issues, and concerns over data security remain significant barriers. This study concludes that improving user experience, strengthening digital trust and cybersecurity, and enhancing digital inclusion programs are essential to ensuring sustainable e-Government adoption in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Islamic fintech adoption on financial inclusion in the digital economy era and to examine the moderating role of sharia financial literacy. A quantitative survey approach was employed using an online questionnaire distributed to users and potential users of Islamic fintech services in Indonesia. Purposive sampling resulted in 241 valid responses. Data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression. The findings indicate that Islamic fintech adoption has a positive and significant effect on financial inclusion. Sharia financial literacy also shows a positive and significant impact on financial inclusion. Moreover, sharia financial literacy functions as a moderating variable that strengthens the relationship between Islamic fintech adoption and financial inclusion. These results affirm that Islamic fintech serves as a strategic instrument for broadening financial access; however, its effectiveness is strongly influenced by the level of public understanding of sharia financial principles. Therefore, enhancing sharia financial literacy and developing an inclusive digital ecosystem are crucial in promoting more equitable financial participation.

Abstract

This study examines how hygiene and sanitation practices shape food quality and guest satisfaction at a tourism-driven restaurant in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia. Using a qualitative descriptive design, we triangulated sources and methods through structured observations of kitchen and dining areas, in-depth interviews with food handlers and guests, and review of internal checklists and records. Data were processed with analytical cycle of reduction, display, and conclusion verification. Results indicate strong awareness yet uneven adherence to personal hygiene protocols (handwashing, clean uniforms, hair restraint) and routine equipment sanitation (scrape–soak–wash–rinse–sanitize–dry). Inconsistencies during ingredient sorting, final plating checks, and environmental control produced vulnerabilities, including sporadic contamination events. Environmental sanitation gaps centered on pest ingress routes and suboptimal waste segregation and storage. Recommendations include codifying HACCP-aligned Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, competency-based periodic retraining, intensified supervisory observations with rapid corrective actions, and scheduled audits with KPI dashboards. Strategically, robust hygiene–sanitation systems protect public health, reinforce customer trust, and stabilize revenue while mitigating legal exposure and reputational risk. The study contributes operational evidence that hygiene and sanitation are not merely technical requirements but essential governance levers for service quality and competitiveness in foodservice operations within tourism ecosystems. Future work should quantify outcomes with longitudinal monitoring.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital communication technologies has reshaped how individuals access, interpret, and engage with information in everyday life. In Indonesia, communication literacy emerges as a core competency for navigating algorithm-driven, user-generated, and AI-mediated environments. This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 43 peer-reviewed and reputable sources (2019–2024) to synthesize conceptual and empirical evidence on the cultural, cognitive, emotional, and ethical dimensions of digital communication literacy. Searches (Scopus, Web of Science, SINTA, Google Scholar) and thematic coding reveal uneven literacy across the population, shaped by generational disparities, educational gaps, platform logics, and socio-cultural norms. Findings also highlight heightened risks introduced by AIrequiring competencies that extend beyond technical skills to include multimodal interpretation, metacognitive reflection, and algorithmic awareness. The review formulates a holistic framework integrating critical thinking, multimodal reading/production, ethical reasoning, and socio-emotional capacities, and translates it into practice areas for education, civic participation, and the digital economy. Strengthening communication literacy in Indonesia is therefore essential not only for healthier democratic discourse and social cohesion, but also for sustained competitiveness in a datafied, AI-intensive economy.

Abstract

Abstract The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in adaptive learning represents a transformative shift in Indonesia’s basic and secondary education system, aligning with the vision of Education 5.0 that emphasizes human-centered and technology-empowered learning. AI-driven adaptive systems have demonstrated the ability to personalize learning pathways, automate formative assessment, and provide data-supported instructional recommendations that enhance student outcomes. This study employs a systematic literature review to analyze the opportunities and challenges facing Indonesian teachers in implementing adaptive AI at the K–12 level. Findings show that while AI enables differentiated instruction, timely remediation, and deeper learning engagement, successful adoption depends significantly on teachers’ digital pedagogical literacy, data-informed decision-making, and ethical understanding of algorithmic systems. Key challenges include unequal infrastructure, varying teacher readiness, privacy risks in student data management, and limited policy frameworks. The study concludes that AI should serve as a pedagogical partner rather than a replacement for teachers, reinforcing the irreplaceable role of educator empathy, socio-emotional support, and professional judgment. Strategic competence development, equitable digital access, and clear regulatory guidance are essential to ensure that AI integration strengthens educational equity and instructional quality within Indonesia’s Education 5.0 ecosystem.

Abstract

The rapid adoption of generative artificial intelligence in higher education has introduced significant pedagogical opportunities while simultaneously raising critical concerns regarding academic ethics and data security. This study aims to analyze ethical risks and data vulnerabilities associated with the use of generative AI by university students and lecturers, as well as to assess institutional readiness in establishing responsible AI governance. Using an analytical literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach, this research synthesizes empirical and conceptual findings from reputable international publications between 2015 and 2024. The findings indicate that generative AI poses threats to academic integrity through machine-generated plagiarism, reduced critical thinking, and algorithmic bias in learning processes. From a data security perspective, major risks include opaque data-storage policies, potential model memorization of sensitive information, and weak cybersecurity infrastructures in universities. Institutional readiness remains limited, marked by the absence of AI ethics guidelines, low AI literacy among academic communities, and inadequate monitoring mechanisms. This study recommends the development of generative-AI ethical guidelines, enhancement of digital literacy, improvement of data protection standards, and the establishment of AI governance committees within universities.

Abstract

The modern humanism crisis is marked by the reduction of the human being into a material, economic, or algorithmic entity, accompanied by digital fragmentation, identity instability, and the loss of spiritual orientation. This condition reveals the limitations of secular humanism in addressing the ontological and ethical needs of contemporary individuals. This study aims to examine how the re-actualization of Islamic philosophy can provide a holistic and relevant alternative to modern humanism. Employing philosophical library research with a qualitative hermeneutic approach, the study analyzes classical Islamic philosophical texts alongside contemporary literature on humanism, spirituality, and modern crises. The findings demonstrate that the Islamic philosophical conception of the human, integrating rational, spiritual, moral, and cosmological dimensions, offers a more comprehensive ontological and epistemological foundation compared to the atomistic nature of modern humanism. By synthesizing reason (‘aql), revelation, virtue ethics, and a teleological understanding of life, the proposed Islamic humanistic framework effectively responds to contemporary challenges such as existential anxiety, digital disruption, moral decline, and ecological degradation. The study concludes that re-actualizing Islamic philosophy is not a nostalgic return to the past but a constructive effort to rebuild human dignity through the integration of rationality, spirituality, and transcendental values
