Najah: Journal of Research and Community Services is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Kalam Nusantara Center Research as one of the research institution in Universitas Islam Zainul Hasan Genggong . It is at the national level that covers a lot of common problems or issues related to community services. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved and or its implication. Journal of Research and Community Services encompasses research articles, original research report, reviews, and scientific commentaries in education, including Education for Human Resources Development, Community Empowerment, Social Entrepreanurship, and nonformal or informal education. This journal will be published four times in a year (March, June, September and December).

Abstract

Bamboo is an all-purpose plant for most people in Indonesia. Apart from improving the land, balancing hydrology and global warming, bamboo can also provide high economic income. This is because, in the future, bamboo will become the world's main timber material. Bamboo is the material of the future, because from bamboo can be used as a variety of products ranging from food, building materials for household appliances to handicrafts such as plates, glasses, decorative lamp crafts, flower vases, and others. The method used in this research is ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), data sources are obtained from residents of jurang jero Village, gading District. Data collection techniques using documentation, observation, and interview techniques, while data analysis techniques by collecting data, reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. The purpose of this PKM activity is to provide assistance to bamboo craftsmen in jurang jero Village in utilizing bamboo plants so that the processing of bamboo plants is maximally varied and of higher quality in order to increase added value and economic value in jurang jero Village. The results of this PKM are 1) Increase community income, especially the jurang jero Village bamboo craftsmen group, gading sub-district, Probolinggo Regency, and regional income. 2) Increase the creativity of utilizing bamboo plants in jurang jero Village, gading District as handicraft materials. 3) Reducing unemployment. And 4) Empowerment of regional potential (bamboo plants).

Abstract

One of the cultures found in a local community is customs, which is a value system that applies until the end of life. Customs are binding but unwritten rules that have a function as rules that apply for generations. The custom of breaking a jug is a Hindu culture brought by Dewi Rengganis that is still preserved by the community. As happened in Garuda hamlet, Krucil village, Krucil sub-district, Probolinggo district, East Java. The custom of breaking the jug is carried out when a Krucil villager dies. The purpose of this study is to determine the benefits of implementing and preserving the tradition of breaking the jug for the people of Krucil village, which is still preserved and believed to eliminate bad luck for those who die. With the preservation of culture, it can play a role as a differentiator between regions and a source of pride for the Indonesian nation. The method used in this service is ABCD. The results of this study indicate that preserving the culture owned by the region is an obligation in order to improve the quality of life that is cultured and blend into the local wisdom itself, so that later our children and grandchildren will know the existence of culture. Diversity, if nurtured and preserved, can strengthen the sense of national unity and integrity, which can also be passed on to future generations.

Abstract

The community service program is directed at increasing the role of mosques and majlis sarwah in helping the progress of the Kaliacar community. Some issues that can be focused on are Religious Education: How mosques can become active and effective religious education centers to increase people's religious knowledge. Social Welfare: The role of majlis sarwah in raising social resources to help the poor or vulnerable groups in society. Community Economy: How mosques can empower the local economy through training programs and small businesses that involve the community. Environment: Joint efforts of mosques and majlis sarwah in campaigning for environmental awareness and implementing environmental cleanliness and sustainability programs. Through this community service program, the focus will be on implementing various activities such as: Increasing Religious Literacy: Organizing Al-Quran reading and writing programs and religious studies in mosques to increase the community's understanding of religion. Economic Empowerment Program: Organizing skills training and establishing small businesses for residents around the mosque, with support from the sarwah council. Social Assistance: Raising donations and resources through majlis sarwah to help underprivileged families and implementing social welfare programs. Increasing Environmental Awareness: Holding environmental campaigns, cleaning the area around the mosque, and encouraging environmentally friendly practices in the community. It is hoped that this program can create positive synergy between mosques, majlis sarwah and the Kaliacar community, which will ultimately have a positive impact on spiritual, economic and social development in the region.

Abstract

Gading Wetan Village is a village that has many assets. These assets include manaqib every 11 hijriyah, rukun death, nightly routines (Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday) khotmil quran (Wednesday and sarwa). One of the activities that we think is very unique is the Rukun Death, because not many villages hold this activity. The method used is the ABCD method. From there our group was interested in developing the Harmony of Death activities in Gading Wetan Village. Seeing that many people did not understand how to take care of corpses, our group took the initiative to hold training activities for taking care of corpses. The evaluation results from this Community Service activity show that the people of Gading Wetan really benefit from all the material that has been provided to increase their knowledge in caring for corpses so that the community no longer has differences of opinion.

Abstract

The aim of this community service program is to develop Islamic boarding school education in the Karangbong village area, Pajarrakan sub-district, Probolinggo district, so that they can carry out learning productively, effectively and efficiently, so that they can become independent students. Another specific aim is to help create comfort in learning through digital-based yellow book learning activities. The expected output target in this activity is that target partners can understand the advantages and benefits of using digital media in traditional yellow book learning to make it easier to understand. Apart from that, this service program aims to take advantage of the development of digital media which is able to improve students' learning outcomes and interest, especially in the classic bandongan method which must be preserved and able to compete with other forms of learning. Therefore, the method applied is an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, namely an empowerment of the community using assets. This approach is based on utilizing assets and potential. This activity was carried out at the girls' cottage at the Zainul Hasan Islamic Boarding School. The results of the service show that the Islamic boarding school, which is a partner in empowering the community, has assets that can be developed and optimized with the aim of improving the quality of the yellow book learning activities to produce students who understand religious learning through bandongan method yellow book recitation activities on a digital basis. Basically, the central girls' boarding school has preparations and equipment to facilitate digital-based activities. Through the assistance we provide, the central daughter boarding school is able to map its assets so that it becomes a trigger factor for optimizing its assets, including human resource assets, social networks, physical assets and traditions.

Abstract

This article delves into the empowerment of religious moderation in the community through the habitual recitation of the Qur'an (Khotmul Qur'an) in Ranugedang Village, Tiris District. In the midst of evolving times, Ranugedang serves as a microcosm facing challenges to foster inclusivity. The initiative not only promotes a balanced understanding of religion but also establishes a robust spiritual foundation. The primary objective is to cultivate a tolerant community, encourage mutual respect, and foster cross-belief cooperation. However, this empowerment encounters challenges such as differing religious views, resistance to change, and the need to address complex social issues.

Abstract

Ranuagung Village is one of the villages located in Tiris District, Probolinggo Regency. In addition to having a very beautiful lake charming to the eye, this village is also famous for the largest production of mangosteen and duren fruits in Probolinggo. Not only about producing fruit, cultural and Islamic traditions in Ranuagung village are also varied. Starting from the tradition of tingkeban (7 months), rejeban, maulidan, selapanan, suroan, and so on. Based on the results of the above findings, the formulation of the tradition of rejeban or more commonly called isra 'mi'raj will be the main program in this study. The selection of Isra' Mi'raj as the subject of KKN-PKM assistance in Ranuagung Village, Tiris District, Probolinggo Regency is not without reason and has been mutually agreed. There is an update to the concept of activities to give a different and more attractive impression from the warnings that were previously the main focus in the mentoring process this time. This PKM activity is carried out with steps that refer to Inculturation, Discovery, Design, Define and Reflection. The activity began with the reading of the holy verses of the Qur'an by student representatives. Next is the reading of istighosah together, followed by the reading of the Prophet's mawlid and prayer. Then the next session was a short lecture regarding the important events of Isra' Mi'raj. In this case, the commemoration of Isra' Mi'raj is generally celebrated in various ways. However, for residents in rural areas, it needs renewal as well as development with the aim of better understanding the meaning of the celebration of the night of Isra' and Mi'raj.

Abstract

Pembuatan batu bata merupakan salah satu UMKM yang terdapat di Desa Klenang Lor. Namun karena kurang efektifnya strategi pemasaran serta belum ada organisasi semacam koperasi yang mampu mengorganisasi dan menjadi wadah bagi perajin batu bata, sehingga kurang mampu mengoptimalkan UMKM batu bata untuk menjadi suatu komoditas unggul yang dapat menjadi salah satu ciri khas dari Desa Klenang Lor tersebut. Metode untuk mengurai hal tersebut menggunakan metode Aset-Based Community Development yang menekankan usaha atau potensi yang dimiliki masyarakat diintegrasikan dengan sumber daya yang dimiliki pemerintah untuk memperbaiki kondisi ekonomi, sosial, dan kebudayaan masyarakat. Dalam upaya penguatan ekonomi masyarakat Desa Klenang Lor, dilakukan pengembangan UMKM berupa memasarkan produk dengan sistem yang jelas mulai dari pengaturan keorganisasian, mitra atau channel dalam pengembangan dan strategi pemasaran. Upaya pengembangan UMKM dilakukan dengan. pembuatan video dan foto batu bata yang melibatkan pelaku UMKM dan mengunggahnya ke beberapa platform sosial media.

Abstract

The Qur'anic Sidogiri Method is an integrated approach to Qur'anic learning that has gained widespread attention in the world of Islamic education. This article explores the implementation of the Qur'anic Sidogiri Method and its impact at Pondok Pesantren Lubbul Labib Al-Qusyairi on improving the ability to read the Qur'an. In relevant text excerpts, K.H. Abdul Ghofur, a prominent scholar at Pesantren Sidogiri, explains that this method is not only about accurate tajweed, but also about guiding santri to feel the meaning and values contained in the Qur'ān. This holistic approach is supported by rigorous tajweed teaching, contextual understanding, and application of Qur'anic values in daily life. This article concludes that the implementation of the Qur'anic Sidogiri Method at Pondok Pesantren Lubbul Labib Al-Qusyairi provides a solid foundation for santri to read the Qur'an well and understand the sacred messages contained therein, in accordance with the vision of Sidogiri pesantren to create a generation of Muslims who are deep in the understanding and application of the Qur'an in their lives.

Abstract

Culture is the way of life shared by a group of people, including the values, norms, language, beliefs, and practices that shape their identity. Condong Village is a village that has sloping land, that's why the village is called Condong Village. Condong Village has several assets, including: personal assets, social assets, spiritual assets, institutional assets, natural assets and physical assets. This mentoring activity aims to preserve and develop the almost extinct rokat tradition by providing assistance to community leaders in the village of Pikan. The aim of this Rokat is to implement research results through community service in the form of empowerment. The research method used is the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach by developing spiritual assets owned by the community, one of which is the preservation of rock culture. The stages used in this stage are preparation, implementation, evaluation. The results obtained from the mentoring were found to be the culture of bridal rokat being carried out when there are 3 siblings, 1 boy and 2 girls or 2 boys and one girl. The bridal ceremony is performed at midnight right in front of the bride's house. First, it starts with the reading of old book discourses by the person in charge of leading the rokat, which is then followed by a shower by the rokat leader, then parents and close family members. As for the data or tradition of Rokatan, it is becoming increasingly known to the village community, especially after providing assistance by means of socialization by community leaders to members of the community at religious events.
