Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of feasibility and effectiveness of developing android-based digital pocketbook learning media to increase student interest and learning outcomes in social studies learning for class IV. This research was conducted at the Pembina Experimental Elementary School, Medan, North Sumatra. The subjects of this study were all fourth-grade students of the Medan Pembina Experiment Elementary School for the 2020/2021 academic year, totaling 60 students. This research method is ADDIE development research. The results showed (1) Based on the validity of material experts 92.5%%, design experts 80%, and linguists 90%. From the results of the validation of the developed media, the media is included in the perfect criteria and is declared valid and feasible to use; (2) Learning Media for Android-Based Digital Pocket Books is categorized as practical because the media resulting from student responses from the first and second trials has increased; and (3) Based on the research results, the Android-based digital pocketbook learning media is said to be effective in learning with the assumption that students' social studies learning value is higher when using Android-based digital pocketbook learning media.

Abstract

The reading development of children aged 5-6 years on average has not yet developed, marked by children still needing teacher guidance in pronouncing letters and not distinguishing between vowels and consonants. For this reason, it is necessary to develop media that can attract attention and help children learn to read. The objectives of this study are: 1) Knowing the level of feasibility of the use of busy book learning media based on the syllable method to improve the reading ability of children aged 5-6 years. 2) Knowing the effectiveness of developing busy book learning media based on the syllable method to improve the reading ability of children aged 5-6 years. The method used in this research is developing a 4-D model (four D model) consisting of 4 main stages, namely: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The subjects of this study were students of group B RA Al-Hidayah Air Pinang Village in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, totalling 11 people consisting of 4 girls and 7 boys. The object of this research is the development of busy book learning media based on the syllable method to improve the reading ability of children aged 5-6 years at RA Al-Hidayah, Air Pinang Village. The data collection techniques in this study were 1) expert team validation questionnaire sheets, 2) student and teacher response questionnaire sheets, 3) reading ability test observation sheets for children aged 5-6 years. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of motivation and work discipline on employee performance at the UPBJJ UT Medan office. According to the research objectives, the research data were obtained from questionnaires, observations, and related literature studies. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression with hypothesis testing, namely the F test and T-test. The number of samples is 35 respondents using the incidental sampling technique. The results showed that the variables of motivation and work discipline had a significant effect either partially or simultaneously on employee performance at the UPBJJ UT Medan office.

Abstract

This research is the development of problem-based learning tools to improve the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students of SMP Private Bakti Medan class VIII for the 2021/2022 academic year. Effectiveness; 2) The mathematical problem-solving ability of students using learning tools with Problem Based Learning increased in terms of the average posttest value of the first trial was 76.88 increased to 81.19 in the second trial and experienced an increase in the distribution stage of 84.38 and the N-Gain of trial I was 0.31 in the medium category increased to 0.33 in the medium category in the second trial and at the distribution stage increased to 0, 42 medium categories. The learning tools developed in this research are the Student Book and LKPD. Device development is carried out using the four D model development model

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media software to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of learning media in improving student learning outcomes on KPK and FPB materials. Researchers use the media, namely Video Learning, to design and develop learning media. This type of research is ADDIE development research. The effectiveness of the learning video based on the learning outcomes test, namely on the completeness of the individual learning outcomes data in the class using the learning video, it is stated that all students are complete. Based on the validator's assessment results of the material experts, the feasibility reached 4.45 with a very decent category. The media expert obtained feasibility of 4.35 with a very feasible category, and the design expert obtained feasibility of 4.14 with a decent category. From the validation results, the feasibility of the KPK and FPB learning videos is feasible to use. This proves that learning videos are more effectively used and proven to improve student learning outcomes on KPK and FPB materials in Class IV SDN 165728 Tebingtinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) the effect of the Problem Based Learning model is higher than the Direct learning model; (2) Civics learning outcomes of students who have high social skills are higher than students who have low social skills (3) the interaction between Problem Based Learning learning models and social skills in influencing Civics learning outcomes of fourth grade students. The research is in the form of a Quasi Experimental Design with a 2x2 factorial. The instruments used are Civics learning outcomes tests and Social Skills instruments. Data analysis usingtwo-way anova. The results of the research show: (1) There is an effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on the Civics learning outcomes of students in grade IV SD Negeri 0308 Aek Bargot; (2) Civics learning outcomes of students who have high social skills are higher than students who have low social skills; (3) There is an interaction between the Problem Based Learning model and social skills on student learning outcomes of Civics at SD Negeri 0308 Aek Bargot.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the learning outcomes of science taught by the time token type of cooperative learning model are higher than the learning outcomes of science taught by the think pair share type of cooperative learning model; (2) the learning outcomes of science students who have a high level of linguistic intelligence are better than those of students who have a low level of linguistic intelligence; and (3) the interaction between the use of cooperative learning models and linguistic intelligence on science learning outcomes. The population in this study were students in grades VA and VB at Pelangi Medan private elementary school, totaling 2 classes. The sample in this study was determined randomly using a non-probability sampling technique with the type of convenience sampling, with 26 students in each class. The research method uses quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental). The instruments used in this research are the science learning outcomes test and linguistic intelligence scale of linguistic intelligence. Analysis of the data used is 2 × 2 factorial ANOVA. Based on the research results obtained: (1) The learning outcomes of students in the cooperative learning model class with the time token type are higher than the students' learning outcomes in the cooperative learning model class with the think pair share type with Fcount > Ftable (10,765). > 4.04); (2) Science learning outcomes of students who have high linguistic intelligence are higher in science learning outcomes of students who have low linguistic intelligence with Fcount > Ftable (14.994 > 4.04); and (3) there is no interaction between learning models and linguistic intelligence on science learning outcomes with Fcount < Ftable (0.079 < 4.04). The results are expected to provide information for teachers and schools to use the time token type of cooperative learning model to improve students' short story appreciation skills. In addition, it is necessary to improve students' linguistic intelligence in classroom learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine : (1) the Mathematical learning outcomes of primary students taught by Realistic Mathematics Approach and Scientific Approach; (2) the differences between the learning outcomes of students who have high abstract thinking ability and students with low abstract thinking ability; (3) the interaction between learning approach and abstract thinking ability on students' Mathematical learning outcomes. The population of this research was all grade 5 of SD Negeri 028289 and SD Negeri 025282 Kota Binjai. There are 4 classes of grade 5, with the total number of students being 98. Cluster Random Sampling was used to find the total sample, and this research sample consisted of 48 students. The Measurement of Mathematics learning outcomes instrument was an objective test with four possible answers, consisting of 26 items that have been tested the validity and reliability. To obtain data on students' creative thinking ability was done by using a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability. Point Biserial Correlation Formula was used to analyze the Mathematical learning outcome, and Product Moment Formula was used to analyze the abstract thinking ability. The research method was Quasi experiment with 2 x 2 factorial design. The technique of data analysis using ANOVA two ways at the significance level = 0.05. Before the data is analyzed using ANOVA, tdata distribution data should be normal and homogeneous. The Lilifors Provision measures the Normality of data, and the homogeneity of data was measured based on the Fisher and Barlett Test. Based on the results, the researcher obtained that: (1) the Mathematics learning outcomes of students taught by Realistic Mathematics Approach were higher than the mathematics learning outcomes of students taught by Scientific Approach with Fcount = 8.56 > Ftable = 4.06; (2) the Mathematics learning outcomes of students with high abstract thinking ability were higher than students with low abstract thinking ability with Fcount = 20.4 > Ftable = 4.06 ; (3) there is an interaction between learning approach and creative thinking ability on students' Mathematical learning outcomes with Fcount = 7.58 > Ftable = 4.06. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that using the Realistic Mathematics Approach in learning Mathematics is more effective for students with high abstract thinking ability. This is also a good opportunity for students with low abstract thinking ability to increase their ability. The implication of this research is to appoint Mathematical teachers to apply the Realistic Mathematics Approach in teaching Mathematics and recognize students' characteristics like abstract thinking ability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of the analysis of instrument requirements and the analysis of multiple representation-based stoichiometric material concepts used to measure students’ critical thinking skills; the results of the feasibility test of the assessment instrument based on Aiken’s index of expert validity; test results on the level of problem difficulty, reliability, discriminatory power and distractibility using Rasch modeling; the level of students’ critical thinking skills as measured by the critical thinking ability assessment instrument; and student responses to the assessment instruments developed. The development model used in this study is a 4-D model consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. Based on the results of the needs analysis and the results of the material analysis, it was found that the assessment instrument for chemistry learning outcomes had not been able to measure students’ critical thinking skills, and the stoichiometric material studied was following the basic competencies in the revised 2013 curriculum; assessment instrument for critical thinking skills based on multiple representations consists of 25 items. The results of the expert validation test are based on Aiken’s index with high criteria of 0.81 and the results of the material validation index by teachers with medium criteria of 0.78. Empirical validation test with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) obtained 8 variance factors of 80.174% with the eigenvalues fulfilled. The test results are based on the level of difficulty of the questions with moderate criteria, the reliability of the test with Alpha Chronbatch is 0.75 with a good category, the discriminatory power of 76% with good category, and 60% of distractors function well. Analysis with Rasch modeling obtained 15 questions from 25 questions categorized as good to be used as a tool to measure students’ critical thinking skills. The assessment instrument developed has a good ability to measure students’ critical thinking skills, with 26.47% in the low ability category, 52.94% in the medium ability category, and 20.58% in the high ability category. Students' positive response to the use of critical thinking skills in the form of google form was 74.23%, with a good category. The product of the assessment instrument on the stoichiometric material developed is valid and meets the requirements for good quality questions, and can be used to measure students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity, feasibility, and effectiveness of the PPKn PPKn module based on local wisdom to improve student learning outcomes on the beauty of diversity in my country. This research is research & development. While the research design used is ADDIE research. The subject of the research was one teacher for class IV and 20 students for class IV, and three expert validators. Data were collected using questionnaires, tests, and interviews. Based on the material expert validation results, an average score of 84% was obtained, then the design expert validation obtained an average score of 91%, and the linguist validation obtained an average score of 88%. When viewed from the number of three expert validators obtained an average score of 87.66%, with the module category very feasible to use. In comparison, the results of the student response questionnaire based on small group trials and field trials obtained an average score of 85%, with an excellent category. In assessing student learning outcomes, the researchers gave pre-test and post-test questions. From the pre-test and post-test, results from This can be seen from the pre-test results getting an average of 46.66 and the post-test results getting an average of 86.66%. Based on the n-gain score assessment criteria, the effectiveness of the PPKn module based on local wisdom obtained a value of 0.74 which means it is in the range of 0.70 <gs ?gs1.00, which is classified in the high category. This shows that the Civics module based on local wisdom effectively improves student learning outcomes.
