Abstract

This study aims to produce an innovative learning media product by developing learning media for snakes and ladders to be applied in the learning process. In this research the product is first validated by media experts and material experts. As well as assessment of responses from teachers and students. Products in the form of learning media for the game of snakes and ladders will be tested first in small groups and then in limited groups. The objectives of this study were (1) Obtaining the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of the snake and ladder learning media in PPKn subjects in class III SD Negeri 024776 Binjai from material experts and media experts, (2) Knowing the differences in interests and learning outcomes of students who use and not. using snake and ladder learning media in PPKn subjects in class III SD Negeri 024776 Binjai. Development This research was developed with the ADDIE development model, starting from the analysis, design stage, development stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. Based on the results of the analysis of experts consisting of material experts with an average value of 82.26, it means that it is very valid and with media experts with an average value of 89 it means very valid. The percentage value of classical completeness obtained by students in the pretest and posttest of the experimental group experienced a high increase, namely 40% to 95%, with an average pretest score of 59.00 and an average posttest score of 81.25. So that it has met the criteria for classical completeness and the learning media products have met the indicators of effectiveness and are suitable for use.

Abstract

This type of research is an experiment using pre test and post test control group design. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the ability to write descriptions on the Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) Learning Model through interactive media in class VI SD Negeri 114361 Binanga Dua. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 114361 Binaga Dua. Which is located in Binaga Dua District, South Labuhanbatu Regency and its implementation is in the first semester of the 2019/2020 Academic Year. The population in this study were all grade VI students of SD Negeri 114361 Binaga Two academic year 2019/2020, which consisted of 2 classes with a total of 56 students. The sample in this study using purposive sampling. Of the 2 classes that have the same level of mastery, the total sample is selected, where the VIA class is the experimental class with 28 students and the VIB class is the control class with 28 students. Learning Indonesian using the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) learning model through interactive media can improve the students ability to write descriptions of SD Negeri 114361 Binanga Dua, South Labuhanbatu Regency. There is an average difference in the results of the ability to write descriptions of Indonesian using the HOTS learning model and compared to conventional learning models through interactive media in grade VI SD Negeri 114361 Binanga Dua, South Labuhanbatu Regency It can be concluded that there is an effect of HOTS learning on students' ability to write descriptions through interactive media at SD Negeri 114361 Binanga Dua Labuhanbatu Selatan.

Abstract

This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of technology-based scientific literacy in improving students' critical thinking skills in science learning at SD 04 Rantauprapat. Objects were obtained by purposive sampling. The object in this study was taken as many as 56 for respondents, namely fourth grade students of SD Negeri 04 Rantauprapat, namely Class IVA totaling 28 students and Class IVB totaling 28 students for a questionnaire of students critical thinking abilities. The ability to think critically of students in this case includes Reason, Situation, Clarity, Overview, and Inference with the acquisition of technology-based scientific literacy in science learning at SD 04 Rantauprapat, namely: student frequency those who think that the Reason aspect is above an average of 48 students or 92.9%; the frequency of students who think the Situation aspect is above the average of 46 students or 82.1%; the frequency of students who think that the clarity aspect is above the average is 46 students or 82.1%; the frequency of students who think about the Aspects of Examination (Overview) is above the average of 34 students or 60.7%; and the frequency of students who think inference (Inference) above the average is 34 students or 60.7%. Based on the analysis of students 'scientific literacy abilities made in written tests and interviews, it can be seen how the students abilities in solving science questions. The results are as follows. a) almost all students' science content is still low, this means that most students do not understand the concept of science, b) recognize scientific questions, there are no errors for all students, c) in identifying scientific evidence and phenomena, all students are able to read the data provided, d) in drawing conclusions, almost all students are able to do well, e) in communicating conclusions, almost all students are able to do it well, f) almost all students show understanding of concepts, g) in science applications, almost all students are able to apply them well

Abstract

This research is a type of research development (Research and Development) which aims to determine how the development of a Literacy-based PPKn pocket book, how the feasibility and effectiveness of the Literacy-based PPKn pocket book. The method used to analyze the data is a qualitative descriptive technique which is expressed in the distribution of scores and categories of the rating scale. This development research produces products that meet the eligibility requirements after validation by expert validators. material validation was declared very feasible with a percentage of 89.77%. For linguists it is stated very feasible with a percentage of 88%. and design experts are declared fit for use with a percentage of 80.76%. In this study, feasibility was also obtained from student response questionnaires after students used and ate the products that had been developed. The results of the student response questionnaire to the development of the Literacy-based PPKn pocket book were also said to be feasible with a percentage of 76.19%. The effectiveness of the product can be seen from the N-Gain value. From the N-Gain value of the experimental class reaching 0.48, it was stated that the effectiveness of the pocket book was in the Medium category. It is different from the control class which is categorized as low effectiveness with a score of 0.26. Furthermore, the researcher tested the research hypothesis, whether the hypothesis was acceptable or not using the t-test with the help of the SPSS program. In the output of the paired sample test with SPSS version 17, the Sig (2-tailed) value of 0,000 <0.05 was obtained, so according to the basis for decision making in the paired sample test it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, it can be concluded that the development of a pocket book Literacy-based PPKn is feasible and effective to use in grade IV SDN 067243 Medan Selayang District Year 2020/2021

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The effect of discovery learning and conventional learning models on student learning outcomes, 2) The influence of learning motivation on student learning outcomes. 3) The interaction between learning models and learning motivation on student learning outcomes. This study used a quasi-experimental research method. The research was conducted from April to May 2021.The population of this study were the fourth grade students of SDN 105316 Beranti, the number of which was 42 students who were determined randomly by random sampling technique. The research sample was 22 students of class IVA as the experimental class and 22 students of IVB class as the control class. The data collection technique used a learning motivation questionnaire and a learning outcome test. The data analysis technique used two-way analysis of variance. The results of the study are as follows: (1) There are differences in learning outcomes students who are taught with a learning model discovery learning with an average value of 85,919 higher than the learning outcomes of students taught by the learning model conventional on average 80,000, the analysis of variance results show Fcount value of 4.333> Ftable value of 3.22 and a probability or significance value of 0.00 <0.05, so H0 is rejected, (2) There is a significant difference between student learning outcomes with high learning motivation and the average85.07and students who have low learning motivation on average 57.81. Result of analysis of variance obtained Fcount value of 79.45> Ftable value of 3.22 and a significant value of 0.013 <0.05, so that H0 is rejected., (3) There is an interaction between discovery learning model and student motivation in improving student PPKn learning outcomes, analysis of variance results Fcount value of 8.807> Ftable value of 3.22 and a significance of 0.014 <0.05, so that H0 is rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The influence of discovery learning and expository learning models on student learning outcomes, 2) The influence of social skills on student learning outcomes. 3) The interaction between learning models and social skills on student learning outcomes. This study used a quasi-experimental research method. The research was conducted from April to May 2021.The population of this study were 48 students of grade V SDN 034799 Doloktolong who were chosen randomly by random sampling technique. The sample is the VA class as many as 24 people as the experimental class and the VB class as many as 24 people as the control class. Data collection techniques using social skills questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique used two-way analysis of variance. The results of the study are as follows: (1) There are differences in learning outcomes students who were taught with the discovery learning model with an average value of 85,556 higher than the learning outcomes of students taught by the expository learning model with an average of 76,944, the results of the analysis of variance showed that the Fcount value was 71.11> the Ftable value was 3.20 and the probability or significance value 0.00 <0.05, so H0 is rejected; (2) There is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students with high social skills and the average84,364and students who have low social skills on average 67.00. Result of analysis of variance obtained Fcount value of 17.35> Ftable value of 3.20 and a significant value of 0.017 <0.05, so that H0 is rejected; (3) There is an interaction between discovery learning models and students social skills in improving student PPKn learning outcomes, the results of analysis of variance Fcount value of 6,021> Ftable value of 3.20 and a significance of 0.018 <0.05, so that H0 is rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The influence of heuristic learning strategies and expository learning strategies on student learning outcomes, 2) The influence of critical thinking skills on student learning outcomes. 3) The interaction between heuristic learning strategies and critical thinking skills on student learning outcomes. This study used a quasi-experimental research method. The research was conducted from April to May 2021.The population of this study were students of class VI SDS HKBP 2 SIDORAME Medan with a total of 50 students. The sample is the VIA class with 26 students as the experimental class and the VIB class with 24 students as the control class. The data collection technique used a critical thinking ability questionnaire and a learning outcome test. The data analysis technique used two-way analysis of variance. The results of the study are as follows: (1) There are differences in learning outcomes students who were taught with heuristic learning strategies with an average value of 86.15 higher than the learning outcomes of students taught with expository learning strategies with an average of 76.39, the results of the analysis of variance showed that the Fcount value was 3,795> the Ftable value was 3.19 and the probability value or significance of 0.08 <0.05, so that H0 is rejected; (2) There is a significant difference between student learning outcomes with high critical thinking skills and the average88,409and students who have low critical thinking skills on average 68,133. Result of analysis of variance obtained Fcount value of 90.448> Ftable value of 3.19 and significant value 0.00 <0.05, so H0 is rejected; (3) There is an interaction between heuristic learning strategies and students critical thinking abilities in improving student PPKn learning outcomes, the results of analysis of variance Fcount value of 4.134> Ftable value of 3.19 and a significance of 0.006 <0.05, so H0 is rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The effect of the AEC learning model and the expository learning model on student learning outcomes, 2) The effect of learning motivation skills on student learning outcomes. 3) The interaction between learning models and learning motivation on student learning outcomes. This study used a quasi-experimental research method. The research was conducted from April to May 2021. The population of this study was 40-grade students of SDN 034799 DOLOKTOLONG and 40 students of LANCANG SDN who were randomly assigned by random sampling technique. The sample is class IVA as many as 20 students as the experimental class and class IVB as many as 20 students as the control class. The data collection technique used a learning motivation questionnaire and a learning outcome test. The data analysis technique used two-way analysis of variance. The results of the study are as follows: (1) There are differences in learning outcomes students who were taught with the MEA learning model with an average value of 88.00 higher than the learning outcomes of students taught by the expository learning model with an average of 76,841, the analysis of variance results show Fcount value of 21.192> Ftable value of 3.24 and a probability or significance value of 0.00 <0.05 so that H0 is rejected; (2) There is a significant difference between student learning outcomes with high learning motivation and the average 88,113 and students who have low learning motivation on average 71,071. Result of analysis of variance obtained Fcount value of 7.211> Ftable value of 3.24 and a significant value of 0.00 <0.05 so that H0 is rejected; (3) There is an interaction between the AEC learning model and student motivation in improving student PPKn learning outcomes, the results of the analysis of variance Fcount value of 4.446> Ftable value of 3.24 and a significance of 0.008 <0.05 so that H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The research was aimed are to: (1). Knowing the result social studies of students who were taught using pop up book media were higher than of students who were taught using poster media in class V, (2). Knowing the social studies learning outcomes of students who think critically is higher than the social studies learning outcomes of students who think critically low in class V, (3). Knowing the interaction between the use of pop up book learning media, posters and critical thinking on social studies learning outcomes for class V students. This type of research is a research conducted using a quasi-experimental method. The sample in this study were students of class V. The research design used a 2 x 2 factorial design with data analysis techniques using two-way analysis of variance (ANAVA). The results of this study indicate that: (1). The results of the Anova 2x2 test are known to have a value of F = 41,048 with a price of sig = 0.000, so it can be concluded that the social studies learning outcomes of students taught with pop up book media are higher than those of students who are taught using poster media. (2). The results of the Anova 2x2 test showed that the value of F = 45,250 with a price of sig = 0.000, so it was concluded that the results of the social studies learning who had high critical thinking were higher than the social studies learning outcomes of students who had low critical thinking. (3). The results of the Anova 2x2 interaction between the use of pop up book learning media, posters and critical thinking on students social studies learning outcomes are known that F = 4,586 with a price of sig = 0.038, so it can be concluded that there is an interaction between the use of pop up book, poster and critical thinking learning media on students social studies learning outcomes is proven true.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine: (1) To determine the effect of applying the scientific approach to the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on student learning outcomes. (2) To determine the effect of Social Skills on student learning outcomes (3) To determine the interaction of the Scientific Approach Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) and social skills in influencing student learning outcomes of Civics. The population of this study was all fifth grade students at SDN 106161 Laut Dendang for the academic year 2020/2021. The sampling technique in this study was taken randomly using a lottery, determined 2 (two) classes as the experimental group, namely 1 (one) class being the Scientific Approach Treatment class and the 2nd class being the expository learning treatment class. The determination of the experimental class and the control class is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in the VA class30 Students and expository learning model in VB class 28 Students. The data analysis technique used was two-way ANOVA at a significance level of = 0.05, followed by the Scheffe test. The results obtained: (1) the average PPKn learning outcomes of students with Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning is 24.37 higher than students with expository learning of 19.46. (2) the average civics learning outcomes among students who have high social skills get an average score = 24.15, while the civics learning outcomes of students who have low social skills get an average score = 20.25 (3) there is no interaction between the use of the learning model and students social skills (high and low), namely the high social skills group (26.69), and the low social skills group (22.59), which is greater than the students who are taught with expository learning, namely the high social skills group (21.62), and the low social skills group (17.60). The results of data analysis concluded that students with high social skill characteristics used the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model and obtained a high average. While low social skills using the Expository model will get a low average. The implication of this research is that efforts to improve the teaching and learning process provide a more meaningful learning experience for students, one of the efforts that teachers can do is through the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL).
