Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes through Problem Based Learning on the material Women and men are created as the image of God in class V of SD Negeri 3 Nainggolan. This study involved 12 students as participants in two cycles of action using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method. This classroom action research uses a spiral approach, which consists of four steps of repeated unity, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptions. The results of the study indicate that the application of the problem based learning method has a positive impact on improving learning outcomes and the activeness of students in learning Catholic religious education and character education. The Problem Based Learning Learning Model has been proven effective in creating an interesting, active learning environment and providing more optimal learning outcomes. This study provides an important contribution in developing more effective learning strategies and can be a reference for teachers and researchers in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Catholic Religion learning through the application of the Problem Based Learning Method in Class IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Seventeen in 2024. The approach taken in this research is quantitative with Classroom Action Research (PTK) consisting of Planning, Carrying out learning, observations, group discussions, individual assignments/tests, group awards and determining individual and group grades. Research Subject: Class IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Seventeen. Data collection techniques Direct Observation Techniques, Indirect Observation Techniques, Direct Communication Techniques, Indirect Communication Techniques, Measurement/Test Techniques, Documentation Techniques which are expected to be able to show changes in the actions given. The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistics. This research consists of three cycles. In the first cycle the average student score was 6.79 or 68.42%, and the student score in the second cycle was 8.83 or 75.17%. Meanwhile, the average value in the third cycle was 9.05 or 93.75%. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that learning using the Problem Based Learning Method for Class IX students at SMP Negeri 2 Seventeen is able to improve the remaining learning outcomes so that they meet the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM).

Abstract

This research aims about the lower of study result in Religion Education of 7th grade in SMPN 10 Singkawang about My ability and limitless. This case causes of the ability of religion teacher could not stimulus the manner of students studying in the classroom until they can not develop their creativity and critical thinking of them. Beside that, it still use speech and simple discussion that make the lesson progress useless. This result implies bad result of their achievement of learning. In the other words, their results become lower and does not fit with their target. This research aims is to know the result of students learning achievement about Religion Education of 7th grade in SMPN 10 Singkawang. The methods of this research about Problem Based Learning and to develop learning strategy of students. This research instrument using Class researching that had done into 2 steps. The data resources from students study result and students exam paper. In this research had done before using Problem Based Learning, from the 9 students, we can find the weakness result of study progress about 67%, the result of pass for this material is about 33%. After the hypothesis and evaluation of the first period using problem based learning, the number of students who could pass the evaluation is 78% and 22 % get fail of this evaluation. The high increase could be found in the 2nd period, that both of this period about 100%. In this case, we can conclude that there are progressing begin from the 1st and the 2nd periods. It is cause of problem Based Learning methods in the classroom.

Abstract

Something that should be thanked to the Holy Trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) God Almighty, with the policy of the Government, especially the Minister of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) to publish the lesson books, including the lesson books for Catholic Religious Education and character. Apart from the researcher's gratitude for the publication of Catholic Religious Education and Books, the researcher also as one of the Teachers of Catholic Religious Education and character for the High School Level, that education plays an important role for the development of human for the better life , in terms of critical thinking. However, in realizing Catholic Religious Education and ethics to students, there are still many problems, one of the weakness is, the students' critical thinking skills which has an impact on decreasing their learning outcomes in class. Researcher as the teacher try to solve the problem which is faced in the classroom with a variety of learning models, one of the learning model which is used by the researcher is PBL (Problem Based Learning) .This learning model is implemented by two cycles ,that starting on Friday, September 13, 2024. Hopefully by applying this PBL model which is assisted by the video, can improve the Critical thinking of grade X Catholic students at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Khalipah , in accordance with the vision and mission of the school and one of the objectives of National education, namely the formation of the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) character contained in the independent curriculum that is being promoted by the current government through the education minister of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Nadiem Anwar Makarim, B.A., M.B.A.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement of cognitive and affective learning outcomes in the dimensions of faith in God Almighty and Mutual Cooperation through the PBL model for students at SD Negeri Kutowinangun 08. This type of research is classroom action research with research steps including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection in each cycle. This study consists of two cycles. The research location is SD Negeri Kutowinangun 08 Salatiga, focusing on fourth-grade students with the material "Ten Commandments of God as Life Guidelines". The research was conducted in September 2024. Data collection techniques used learning outcome tests and affective observation rubrics. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative. From the research results, there is an increase in cognitive learning outcomes by 20% in the Proficient criteria and 5% in the Competent criteria. Affective learning outcomes using the PBL learning model have been proven to improve students' affective learning outcomes at SD Negeri Kutowinangun 08 Salatiga on the material "Ten Commandments of God as Life Guidelines". The improvement can be seen from the number of students in cycle I, where 100% fell into the Competent criteria, and in cycle II there was a significant change with 100% falling into the Proficient criteria.

Abstract

Nowadays, Critical Thinking plays a significant role and totally needed because it is closely related to the improvement of Profile Pelajar Pancasila as one of the Indonesian educational goals. It helps students to understand and prefer to be a selective person in giving and taking information, and it also makes the students become wiser in taking a decision based on Pancasila values. In fact, it is still found that there are many elementary school students' critical thinking abilities are still low. The purpose in doing this research is in order to know the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method to assisted cardboard puppet learning media on the result of learning and critical thinking skills in the subject of Catholic Religious Education and Character (PAKBP) about "The Ten Commandments of God as a Guide to Life" for grade 4th students, Phase B at Panggung Lor Elementary School, Semarang City. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The population in this research is 12 students grade IV at Panggung Lor Elementary School, Semarang City, in the 1st semester academic year of 2024-2025.In analyzing the data, the researcher used descriptive analysis. It includes the results of observations of students' critical thinking skill in the PAKBP learning process using the PBL method of assisted cardboard puppet learning media and test data result of students' learning.The results of observations of student activities are analyzed descriptively using percentage statistics. The results of the research show that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) with the help of cardboard puppets can improve learning outcomes and critical thinking abilities of students in the subject of Catholic Religious Education and Character Class IV, Phase B at Panggung Lor State Elementary School, Semarang City.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Onan ganjang in the subjects of canonical religions education and Character education through the application of the Problem based Learning (Pbl) Learning model.This method was chosen as a solution to the low interest and learning outcomes of students, especially in understanding the material of the Church as a Sign and means of salvation.This study uses a Classroom action Research(CAR)approach which is carried out in two cycle includes the stages of planding, Implementing actions, Observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed that the application of the PBL learning Model Succeeded in improving student learning outcomes in the cognivite, Affective, and pocomotor aspects.in the 1-mile cycle, the average student test results reached 76, Which increased to 85 in cycle II.In addition, student participation in group discussions increased significantly as seen from the results of Observations that showed an increse in students ability to solve problems, provide alternative solutions, and appreciate other people’s points of view. In conclusion, the application of the problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning model has proven effective in improving student learning outcome, both in rearms of knowledge and social skills. The applications of this model not only improves students active participation and learning motivation. It is recommended for teachers to continue applying this medhod in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the affective learning outcomes in the dimension of collaboration (gotong royong), as well as cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN Sumber 3 Surakarta through the application of the Project Based Learning model assisted by audiovisual media. The urgency of selecting this topic stems from the low levels of collaboration and student participation in cooperative activities, which negatively impact social interactions and learning outcomes. Addressing this issue is critical to fostering Pancasila Student Profiles with cooperative and integrity-based characteristics. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. The results show significant improvements in all three learning aspects. The collaboration dimension saw a 12.5% increase, with 67% of students classified as "Proficient". Cognitive learning outcomes improved by 10%, with 87% of students reaching the "Proficient" level. Psychomotor learning outcomes also increased by 5%, with 67% of students classified as "Proficient". These findings demonstrate that PBL assisted by audiovisual media is effective in fostering students' affective, cognitive, and psychomotor development while promoting active participation in project-based learning.

Abstract

This research is aimed to improve the teaching learning process and learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education and Characters through the Problem Based Learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of the research were the tenth students of the seventh grade of SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap STTU Julu academic year of 2024/2025. The data analysis technique is descriptive analysis consisting of students’ affective learning outcomes data and students’ cognitive learning outcomes data through observation and written tests. The research was conducted in two cycles. The result of the research shows that the percentage of the students’ completeness has increased in each cylce which is 60% to 80%, and the degree of students’ participation in the learning process has increased from 50% to 80%. It can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model improves the learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education and Characters of the seventh grade students in SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap STTU Julu in the topic of I have Ability and Inability.

Abstract

This research is a collaborative class action research (PTKK) carried out in class XI 6 SMA Negeri 1 Silimakuta with a total of 33 students consisting of 12 male students and 21 female students. This study aims to see whether the problem base learning model with powerpoint media can improve student learning outcomes in reviewing church material as God's people and open fellowship. This research is divided into two cycles, each of which consists of identifying problems, planning, implementing actions, observing and collecting data, analyzing data, and reflecting and improving. Data collection was carried out using tests. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students' learning ability with powerpoint media on the material to increase students' ability in the Church's material for the environment, as evidenced by the average value of student learning outcomes at the end of the first cycle of 65.75 or 27% and at the end of the second cycle was 73.39 or 69.69%. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning using the problem base learning model with powerpoint media can improve students' abilities in the material of the Church as the People of God and Open Communion.in grades XI-6 SMA N 1 Silimakuta.
