Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of video media on the students’ learning interests for the fifth grade students in the learning process of Catholic religious education. Video media is one of the teacher's aids, which can be used as a bridge from the teachers and students in teaching and learning process The video is displaying the learning materials about Catholic religious education. This is quantitative research with experiment design. The population in this study were students of the fifth-grade in SD Negeri 076689 Fulolo Alasa elementary school. The samples are the class of V as a control as an experiment class. The researcher does a raffle from five classes to get the sample. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by observation, questionnaire and student learning outcomes in class V.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) can increase students' understanding of the theme My Abilities and Limitations in Phase D at SMPN 1 Embaloh Hulu. Apart from that, this research also aims to measure the effectiveness of PBL in increasing students' understanding of their abilities and limitations, as well as analyzing changes in students' attitudes and understanding of this theme after implementing PBL. This research is classroom action research. The samples in this research were class VII students. The instrument used is a test to measure students' conceptual understanding of the material My Abilities and Limitations. The action is carried out in two cycles, at the end of each cycle, students are given a problem understanding test on the My Capabilities and Limitations material. The results obtained show a significant increase in students' understanding after implementing PBL. In cycle 1, the average student score was 69.63 with 75% completeness, but after implementing PBL more intensively in cycle 2, the average score increased to 83.31 with 94% completeness. PBL not only improves cognitive aspects, but also helps students reflect on their abilities and limitations.

Abstract

Humans who are living creatures with reason have the potential to continue to develop. One of the human developments is Catholic religious education in schools. Learning Catholic Religious Education encourages students to become faithful individuals who are able to live and realize their faith in everyday life. The independent curriculum emphasizes the profile of Pancasila students. In this classroom action research, the researcher emphasizes the dimensions of faith in God Almighty and noble character and the dimension of critical reasoning. This study describes the process of implementing the problem-based learning (PBL) model in Catholic Religious Education learning for class VIII and analyzes its impact on student motivation and learning activities. Through observation, interviews, and document analysis, it was found that PBL succeeded in creating an active and student-centered learning environment. Students were more involved in the learning process, showed increased learning motivation, and developed collaboration skills. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of PBL. The objectives of this study were (1) To determine the improvement in student learning outcomes through Problem Based Learning for Class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Tapian Nauli. (2) Knowing the increase in target achievement through the Problem Based Learning model in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Tapian Nauli. The interaction and communication between teachers and students and communication between students greatly supports learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Improvement of Attitude of Piety and the Spirit of Mutual Cooperation with the PBL Method of Grade IV Students of SDN 05 Jelai Hulu according to Phase B. This study uses a classroom action research method that is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The results of the study during the two cycles showed a significant increase where in the first cycle the average score obtained by students when applying the PBL model was 70% and in the second cycle by 85%. This shows that if the PBL learning method is applied properly and consistently, it will improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning motivation of students in Grade XI Phase F of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education on the material of developing a culture of love by using the Problem Based Learning learning model. This study is a type of PTK research carried out in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 7 students of grade XI of SMKN 11 Malang. The data collection technique in this study used a comparative descriptive method by comparing the results from cycle 1 to cycle II. In cycle 1, the percentage of student learning motivation was 43% in the category of starting to develop and 57% in the category of developing according to expectations. While in cycle II it increased by 14% in the category of starting to develop and 86% in the category of developing according to expectations. The increase in student motivation in learning also has an impact on student learning outcomes, where in cycle 1 it obtained a percentage of 57%, while in cycle II it increased by 86%. The results of the study prove that the application of PBL also proves that students are more actively involved in learning. They become more active in group discussions, find solutions, and are involved in solving problems independently. The classroom atmosphere also became more lively, with more positive interactions between students and students with teachers. It can be concluded that by using the Problem Based Learning learning model on the material of developing a culture of love for class XI Phase F, it can help students improve their motivation and learning outcomes in the subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education. In conclusion, this PBL model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. The recommendation is to strengthen the application of PBL, develop relevant materials, provide sufficient time for learning, and conduct regular evaluations so that learning continues to run well. With proper implementation, PBL can continue to be developed to help students develop their critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Grade VII-2 students on the topic "I Have Abilities" through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model for students at SMP Negeri 1 Nainggolan in the 2024/2025 academic year. The PBL method was chosen for its ability to enhance student engagement, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities relevant to everyday life. This research employs a classroom action research (CAR) design involving two cycles of action. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations of the learning process, and evaluation questionnaires. The results of the study show a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes, as evidenced by increased test scores and positive feedback from students regarding the learning process. The implementation of the PBL model also demonstrated improvements in students' collaboration skills and learning motivation. Therefore, the use of the Problem-Based Learning model can be considered effective in improving students' learning outcomes in the taught material.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research was conducted in the subject of Catholic Religious Education and Character Building for Grade VII at SMP Negeri 6 Toho, Mempawah Regency, with the aim of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to enhance students' creativity and learning independence. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. The subjects of the research were 11 seventh-grade students. The results showed that students' creativity and learning independence in Catholic Religious Education and Character Building, through the application of the Problem-Based Learning model, in Cycle I, the category of learning independence was low, at 49.43%, and in Cycle II, it increased to 80.68%. The improvement from Cycle I to Cycle II was 31.02%, with the achievement indicator reaching ≥ 80%. Furthermore, the observation results of students' creative thinking in Cycle I showed a creativity level of 67.5%, categorized as "Fair," and in Cycle II it increased to 87.5%, categorized as "Good." The improvement from Cycle I to Cycle II was 20%, with the achievement indicator reaching ≥ 80%. As for students' learning outcomes, the mastery level in Cycle I was 18.18%, and in Cycle II it reached 100%, showing an increase of 81.82% from Cycle I to Cycle II. The achievement indicator reached ≥ 80%. Lastly, the teacher's competence was observed to be in the "Good" category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education for students of class VII-1 at SMP Assisi Kota Batak through the use of the problem-based learning (PBL) model. This type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) which is carried out collaboratively between researchers and teachers. In the material My abilities and limitations, the problem based learning (PBL) learning model is one of the learning models where students are trained to think critically to find solutions to the problems given. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four components, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observations, documentation and tests. Data analysis was carried out in 3 stages, namely reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results obtained in this study: cycle 1 was carried out for 2 meetings with the percentage of students whose scores were above the KKM of 42.85%. Cycle 2 was carried out for 2 meetings with the percentage of students whose scores were above the KKM of 92.85%. Based on the research results, it was found that the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class VII-1 students at SMP Assisi Kota Batak.

Abstract

In the Kurikulum Merdeka, teachers have the flexibility to choose various teaching tools so that learning can be adjusted to the learning needs and interests of students. However, in the process, there are often various problems, one of which is a learning model that tends to be monotonous, namely lectures and assignments. This research aims to provide inspiration in the form of a Problem Based Learning learning model as an innovative effort to improve student learning outcomes both from cognitive and affective aspects. This research is carried out in two cycles, where each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The data collected were in the form of cognitive learning outcomes through written tests, and observation sheets to observe affective learning outcomes. The results show that the application of the PBL model significantly improves student learning outcomes, which can be seen in the improvement graph from cycle I to cycle II. There are many innovative and creative learning models today, teachers should not stop learning to try and apply learning models to achieve the learning goals themselves.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Belimbing for the 2024/2025 school year in the subject of Catholic Religious Education through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles with 2 meetings each cycle. Each cycle consists of several stages, namely planning, implementation of actions, observation and reflection. The subject matter discussed was "I am the Unique Image of Allah". The subjects in this study are grade VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Belimbing for the 2024/2025 school year consisting of 10 students. The data collection technique is in the form of test results carried out at the end of cycle I and cycle II, observation results during learning in cycle I and cycle II. The results of the study show that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Belimbing starting from cycle I and cycle II. In the first cycle, the percentage of student learning completeness was 80%, and in the second cycle, the percentage of completeness reached 100%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education students in grade VII of SMP Negeri 7 Belimbing.
