Abstract

This article discusses ways to overcome drowsiness, which often becomes a major obstacle in the process of memorizing the Qur'an, especially in the morning. It examines the effectiveness of physical and spiritual approaches in combating drowsiness during Qur'an memorization. The study was conducted through literature review and observations of several students at the Al Ihsan Bintan Islamic boarding school. The results show that a combination of physical strategies such as movement, walking, deep breathing, and maintaining hydration, along with spiritual approaches like performing ablution (wudhu) and strengthening intention, significantly helps reduce drowsiness levels and improve the quality of memorization. The conclusion of this study recommends integrating both approaches for optimal results in the Qur'an memorization process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of evaluation and monitoring in the management of Islamic religious education learning. Evaluation is considered a regular stage to assess the effectiveness of planning, implementation, and achievement of Islamic education goals, while monitoring serves as a continuous monitoring tool to ensure that implementation is in accordance with established policies. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method, while data are analyzed descriptively and analytically based on theory and previous research findings. The results show that learning evaluation includes various forms, including formative, summative, diagnostic, self-evaluation, joint formative evaluation, and portfolio evaluation. Educational monitoring emphasizes the importance of stakeholder involvement, strengthening the role of supervisors, and continuous monitoring of the quality of learning, curriculum, and teacher-student interactions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the actualization of the actuating function in strengthening management at Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah, specifically MIS Hadirul Ulum. The problem studied is the optimal implementation of the actuating function in managerial practices at the madrasah level. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation of the madrasah principal, teachers, and educational staff. The results of the study show that the actualization of the actuating function at MIS Hadirul Ulum is realized through the visionary leadership of the madrasah principal, continuous teacher empowerment, effective communication, the cultivation of Islamic values, and constructive academic supervision. The implementation of mobilization based on the principles of the Qur'an and Sunnah was able to improve teacher competence, strengthen Islamic work culture, and integrate the national curriculum with Islamic boarding school content to strengthen madrasah management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of Islamic education planning at MI Salafiyah Karangjompo, Tirto, Pekalongan. The research focuses on how planning processes are implemented and managed to improve the quality of Islamic education in elementary Islamic institutions. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that Islamic education planning at MI Salafiyah Karangjompo follows systematic stages, including needs analysis, goal formulation, policy setting, program implementation, and evaluation. Teachers actively design lesson plans, integrate Islamic values into learning, and align objectives with the institution’s vision. Effective educational planning contributes significantly to improving school management performance and fostering students’ Islamic character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the philosophy of Islamic education as the main foundation in the formation of character education to build a superior generation that is faithful, knowledgeable, and has noble morals. This study focuses on the weak implementation of the values ​​of Islamic educational philosophy in the character formation of the younger generation amidst moral degradation and the challenges of globalization. The study used a library research method by reviewing various literature sources such as books, scientific journals, and relevant academic articles. The results show that the philosophy of Islamic education, which is based on the values ​​of monotheism, noble morals, knowledge, and wisdom, plays a significant role in shaping the perfect human being through a balance of spiritual, moral, intellectual, and social aspects. Its implementation is proven effective when integrated into the curriculum, learning methods, teacher role models, and the habituation of Islamic values ​​in the educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in instilling values of responsibility and discipline through habitual worship in the school environment. The main issue examined is the extent to which routine worship activities such as congregational prayer, recitation of the Qur'an, and communal prayer can shape students' character in terms of discipline and responsibility. This study uses the library research method by analyzing literature in the form of journals, books, and scientific articles from 2018 to 2025. The results of the study show that structured and consistent worship habits contribute significantly to improving students' discipline, time awareness, and sense of responsibility. In addition, the role of PAI teachers as role models and facilitators is a determining factor in the successful internalization of religious character values in schools.

Abstract

Modern education demands that teachers play a role not only as instructors but also as role models in shaping students' character. This article aims to describe the importance of teacher role models from the perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith through the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a library research method, focusing on analyzing the concept of teacher role models as reflected in the values ​​of the Qur'an and Hadith, and their relevance to the objectives of the Independent Curriculum. The results of the study indicate that teacher role model values ​​derived from Islamic teachings are directly related to strengthening student character as mandated in the Pancasila Student Profile. Teachers in the Independent Curriculum play the role of educators, motivators, inspirators, and mentors who must be able to instill the values ​​of faith, piety, noble character, independence, and creativity in a student-centered learning process. The implementation of teacher role models based on the Qur'an and Hadith is the main foundation in realizing national education goals, especially in shaping a generation with character, religiousness, and adaptability to developments in science and technology in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This article reexamines the operational definitions and classification criteria of Makki/Madani in Qur'anic studies through systematic analysis of traditional interpretations and modern scholarship. It identifies five main indicators: asbab al-nuzul as chronological reference, revelation order across the prophetic era, audience context and legal content, thematic profiling (tawhid, legal norms, community development), and rhetorical style. The findings reveal that while fundamental definitions remain constant, deviations in indicators create borderline cases where Madani verses appear in Makki surahs and vice versa. To address this inconsistency, the paper proposes a weighted decision framework prioritizing chronological evidence (asbab al-nuzul and revelation order), followed by internal historical signals (post-Hijrah references), then thematic and stylistic markers. This framework enhances research reproducibility, reduces classification bias, and supports consistent Makki-Madani annotation for educational purposes and digital humanities projects requiring systematic Qur'anic text analysis.
