Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning of prayer from the perspective of the Qur'an through a thematic approach (tafsīr maudhū‘ī) which focuses on three main verses, namely QS al-Baqarah (2): 43–46, QS al-Ḥajj (22): 77, and QS al-Isrā’ (17): 78. Two classical tafsir books, Tafsīr al-Ṭabarī and Fatḥ al-Qadīr, are used as the main sources to reveal how the Qur'an presents prayer as the foundation of spiritual awareness, moral formation, and social order. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive method based on literature studies, the results of this study found that prayer is not only a ritual obligation, but also a process of inner purification that fosters sincerity, discipline, and concern for others. In the view of the Qur'an, prayer is a spiritual bridge that connects humans with God, fosters calm amidst the dynamics of life, and is a symbol of harmony between the dimensions of ubudiyah and humanity.

Abstract

This article examines the philosophical and critical hermeneutical approaches as methodological foundations in contemporary Qur’anic interpretation. Philosophical hermeneutics rooted in the thoughts of Gadamer and Ricoeur emphasizes the dialogical, historical, and linguistic dimensions of understanding, where meaning emerges from the fusion of horizons between text and interpreter. Meanwhile, critical hermeneutics, represented by scholars such as Arkoun and Abu Zayd, highlights the need to uncover ideological structures, power relations, and dogmatic closures that shape traditional interpretations. By integrating these two perspectives, this study demonstrates how contemporary Qur’anic exegesis can become more contextual, emancipatory, and responsive to modern issues such as gender justice, ecological ethics, and human rights. This integrated framework provides a dynamic interpretative paradigm that bridges the continuity of revelation with the demands of current human realities.

Abstract

The development of science in this modern era shows a tendency towards the separation of disciplines from their philosophical roots, which reaffirms the urgency of the philosophy of science as a foundation for understanding the nature, process, and purpose of science. This research aims to examine the three main pillars of science: ontology, epistemology and axiology. The method used is library research, analyzing classical and contemporary philosophical literature. The data is processed using content analysis, descriptive, comparative, and interpretative techniques. The results of the study show that Ontology discusses schools of thought such as monism, dualism, and nihilism. Epistemology covers rationalism, empiricism, and positivism, while Axiology examines objectivism, subjectivism, and value ethics. The conclusion indicates that the integration of ontology, epistemology, and axiology is an absolute requirement to ensure that science is not only methodologically correct, but also beneficial and ethically responsible in life.

Abstract

Current education demands a balance between pursuing academic scores and shaping students' religious character. However, full day schools often struggle to achieve this balance because students become quickly fatigued if religious lessons are placed at the end of the school day. Therefore, this qualitative research aims to deeply study how MI Al-Furqan implements the TPA (Qur'an Education Park) Integration Model and how the school collaborates with BKPMI (a practitioner organization) to maintain this balance. The findings show two main innovations: New Scheduling Arrangement and Staff Collaboration. The school moved the one-hour TPA lesson to the middle of the formal learning day, turning it into a positive break that is proven to overcome boredom, increase enthusiasm, and restore students' learning focus for the next general subjects. Collaboration with BKPMI practitioners as main teachers ensures the quality of students' Qur'an recitation and memorization (completing Iqra' volume 6 by 3rd grade). In conclusion, this model successfully resolves the time dilemma in full day school and provides a practical guide for other schools on how to use religious activities as a key driver (katalisator) that effectively boosts academic spirit and results

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the murabahah contract in housing financing conducted through third parties, particularly in situations where Islamic financial institutions do not fully acquire ownership of the property before reselling it to customers. Such a practice raises the possibility of non-compliance with the fundamental principles of murabahah, which require the bank to possess and bear risk over the asset prior to the sale. The research aims to evaluate customers’ level of understanding, their experiences during the financing process, and their perceptions regarding the sharia compliance of such practices. The research method employed an online survey by distributing a digital questionnaire via Google Forms to Islamic bank customers who have previously used or are currently using murabahah-based housing financing through third-party intermediaries. The collected data were analyzed descriptively to map patterns of perception and challenges faced by customers. The findings reveal that most respondents perceive the financing process as not fully reflecting the ideal murabahah mechanism, particularly concerning bank ownership of the asset and transaction transparency. These results indicate the need for stronger sharia compliance, especially in the areas of asset ownership and risk management by the bank. The study concludes that implementing murabahah through third parties requires strengthened regulation and enhanced customer education to ensure consistency with sharia principles. .

Abstract

The development of science today is often detached from divine values, thus giving rise to a moral and spiritual crisis. This study departs from the need to re-understand the meaning of science in the Qur'an in order to harmonize intellectual and spiritual progress. The purpose of this study is to understand the concept of science and its various types in the Qur'an as depicted in QS. Al-'Alaq [96]: 1-5, QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 31-32, and QS. An-Nahl [16]: 78. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive method based on literature studies, through the tafsīr maudhū‘ī (thematic) approach, by tracing the explanation of M. Quraish Shihab in Wawasan Al-Qur'an. The results of the study show that the Qur'an places science as the basis of human nobility, which includes rational, spiritual, and moral dimensions. The three verses examined illustrate that knowledge originates from God, serves to elevate human dignity, and develops through the five senses, reason, and heart. This article contributes to enriching understanding of Islamic epistemology by emphasizing the importance of a divine orientation in the development of knowledge.

Abstract

This research uncovers the significant role of the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH) in fostering consumer trust within Indonesia’s massive Muslim-majority marketplace. The study zeroes in on the rising demand for halal certification, which has evolved into both a legal imperative and a valuable business asset, essential for upholding the rights of Muslim consumers as outlined in the constitution. By adopting a socio-legal approach and relying on library research, the study examines BPJPH’s specific roles in regulation, monitoring, and collaboration in halal product assurance (JPH). The findings show that halal certification is more than just a marker of compliance; it’s a multi-faceted tool that guarantees product integrity, cleanliness, and conformity to Islamic principles. It not only builds consumer trust but also drives loyalty and purchasing behavior, giving companies a competitive advantage in international markets. The rigorous oversight and consistent regulatory framework enforced by BPJPH are key to maintaining this trust and facilitating the growth of Indonesia’s halal industry.,

Abstract

Household education is a fundamental foundation for shaping creed, character, and the overall quality of family life. This article examines the concept of family education from the perspective of prophetic traditions through a literature-based study of tarbawi-oriented hadiths addressing marital relations, worship habituation, daily manners, and the development of moral culture within the home. The findings indicate that the hadiths emphasize the roles of exemplary conduct, balanced communication, cooperation, and the consistent practice of Islamic values as the main pillars of family education. The hadiths also highlight the moral responsibility of each family member in maintaining a home environment conducive to spiritual and ethical development. These findings affirm that implementing tarbawi principles is essential for building a harmonious and morally grounded Muslim family.
