Abstract

Education emphasizes not only academic ability but also character building such as discipline and teamwork. Extracurricular team sports activities, particularly basketball, play a strategic role in instilling these values. This study aims to describe the implementation of basketball extracurricular activities and their role in developing student discipline and teamwork at Jabal Rahmah Mulia Boarding High School. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with 20 subjects consisting of students and coaches. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity through triangulation. The results showed that basketball activities were carried out in a structured and routine manner with the support of the school, coaches, and adequate facilities. The value of discipline is seen in student compliance with schedules, rules, equipment, and coach directions, while cooperation is reflected through interaction, team communication, role division, and mutual support. Participation in the 2025 AZA 3X3 Competition North Sumatra proves that the values ​​of discipline and teamwork built in training can be applied in competitive situations, thus basketball extracurricular activities play an important role in character education at boarding schools.

Abstract

Education has a strategic role not only in the development of academic abilities, but also in the formation of students' character. One of the efforts made by dormitory-based schools in instilling character values is through Qur'anic tahfidz activities. This study aims to describe the implementation of tahfidz Al-Qur'an activities and its role in shaping the character of students at Jabal Rahmah Mulia Boarding High School. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of 21 class XII students and 2 tahfidz coaches. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The validity of the data is ensured through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that tahfidz Al-Qur'an activities are carried out in a structured and sustainable manner as part of religious habituation in the boarding school environment. The methods of talaqqi, muroja'ah, and tasmi' are applied systematically with the assistance of coaches. This activity contributes to shaping the religious character of students which is reflected through the habit of reading and memorizing the Qur'an, increasing awareness of worship, and maintaining manners towards the Qur'an. In addition, tahfidz Al-Qur'an also fosters the value of discipline, responsibility, and istiqamah which can be seen from compliance with the activity schedule, seriousness in achieving memorization targets, and consistency in maintaining memorization. Thus, tahfidz Al-Qur'an activities play an important role as a means of fostering students' character in the boarding school environment.

Abstract

English communication skills are essential competencies for students in the era of globalization, yet many learners still experience limited opportunities to practice spoken English actively. One approach considered effective in addressing this issue is language habituation through the Daily English Conversation program, particularly within a boarding school environment that supports continuous language exposure. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Daily English Conversation program and its role in developing students’ English communication skills at Jabal Rahmah Mulia Boarding School. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The participants consisted of 24 eleventh-grade students who actively participated in the program and 4 English teachers responsible for its supervision. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the Daily English Conversation program is implemented consistently through English Area policies, daily conversational practices, and intensive interaction in the boarding school environment. Teachers and coaches play a crucial role as facilitators, language models, and providers of corrective feedback. The program contributes significantly to the improvement of students’ speaking and listening skills, as reflected in increased fluency, confidence, and comprehension in daily communication. Furthermore, supporting activities such as Friday Speech and the English Festival strengthen students’ public speaking abilities and motivation to use English in both informal and formal contexts. Therefore, Daily English Conversation serves not only as a medium for enhancing students’ English communication skills but also as an effective strategy for fostering positive attitudes and readiness to communicate in English within a boarding school setting.

Abstract

English language skills are an important competency for high school students in the era of globalization. However, English learning still often focuses on mastering grammar and memorization, so it does not provide space for the development of language skills in a communicative and contextual manner. One approach designed to develop language skills in a balanced way is English learning based on the Cambridge Curriculum. This study aims to describe the implementation of English learning based on the Cambridge Curriculum in developing four language skills, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing, in students of Jabal Rahmah Mulia Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of 21 grade XII students and 5 English teachers. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, while data validity is ensured through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Cambridge Curriculum is carried out systematically and integrated with the Independent Curriculum and the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an program. Learning is designed to develop four language skills in a balanced manner through a communicative approach, familiarization of English in the dormitory environment (English Area), interaction with native speakers, and international standard evaluation. This implementation is supported by a conducive learning environment, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, as well as academic achievement targets in the form of Cambridge certification and IELTS scores. Thus, English learning based on the Cambridge Curriculum plays an effective role in improving students' English language competencies while supporting students' academic readiness and character in the boarding school environment.

Abstract

Hama tikus merupakan salah satu Organisme Pengganggu Tanaman (OPT) yang paling merugikan petani padi di Desa Sukorambi, Kabupaten Jember, karena mampu merusak tanaman secara masif dan menyebabkan penurunan produktivitas yang signifikan. Penggunaan pestisida kimia untuk mengendalikan hama ini seringkali menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, kesehatan manusia, serta keseimbangan ekosistem. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan solusi pengendalian hama yang lebih aman, ramah lingkungan, dan berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memperkenalkan pestisida nabati berbahan dasar bawang putih (Allium sativum), serai wangi (Cymbopogon citratus), dan daun sirsak (Annona muricata) sebagai alternatif pengendalian hama tikus. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pembuatan pestisida nabati melalui proses perendaman bahan untuk mengekstrak senyawa bioaktif, uji coba lapangan pada area sawah yang rawan serangan tikus, serta sosialisasi kepada kelompok tani mengenai cara pembuatan dan penerapannya. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan penurunan aktivitas hama tikus di lahan uji serta peningkatan keterampilan petani dalam memproduksi pestisida nabati secara mandiri. Program ini berkontribusi pada pengurangan penggunaan pestisida kimia, penurunan biaya operasional pertanian, serta peningkatan kesadaran petani terhadap praktik pertanian berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, penerapan pestisida nabati berbasis tanaman lokal berpotensi menjadi solusi jangka panjang dalam pengendalian hama sekaligus menjaga kelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

Amidst the escalation of digital economic competition in 2026, this study aims to investigate the interaction mechanism between online rating reviews and consumer purchasing decisions by placing brand trust as a moderating variable. Integrating Signaling Theory and Trust-Transfer Theory , this quantitative study uses a causal-explanatory approach to 450 active e-commerce user respondents who were analyzed through the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) technique using E-Views 12 software . The empirical test results prove that although rating reviews are a significant external signal in reducing information asymmetry, their effectiveness in triggering transactions is highly dependent on the level of brand trust held by consumers; where brand trust functions as a psychological filter that validates the credibility of the review. These findings reveal a moderation phenomenon whereby for brands with high trust equity, the influence of positive reviews is significantly amplified, while for brands with low trust, positive reviews are often met with cognitive skepticism that hinders purchase conversion.The practical implications of this study emphasize that marketing managers should prioritize building long-term brand loyalty and trust over simply manipulating short-term ratings to ensure sustainable market value in an era of digital sentiment volatility.

Abstract

Analisis PLS-SEM dipakai pada pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif serta verifikatif guna mengkaji pengaruh Kualitas Produk kepada Brand Switching serta peran Ketidakpuasan Konsumen dalam ikatan tersebut. Analisis data mencakup outer model, inner model ataupun uji hipotesis dari bootstrapping melalui sampel 125 responden yang dipilih memakai non probability sampling melalui purposive sampling serta data primer dihimpun lewat kuesioner Google Form dan data sekunder berasal dari tinjauan literatur. Pengaruh negatif signifikan Kualitas Produk (X) kepada Brand Switching (Y) ditegaskan melalui T hitung 3,689 > T tabel 1,96 serta P values 0,000 < 0,05 sementara Ketidakpuasan Konsumen menunjukkan T hitung 3,021 dengan P values 0,003. Pengaruh tidak langsung Kualitas Produk (X) kepada Brand Switching (Y) dari Ketidakpuasan Konsumen (Z) ditegaskan melalui koefisien −0,123 serta t-statistik 2,345 > 1,96 dan P values 0,019 < 0,05 sementara Ketidakpuasan Konsumen (Z) menghasilkan pengaruh positif signifikan kepada Brand Switching (Y) melalui T hitung 5,292 > 1,96 serta P values 0,000. Ini memperlihatkan bahwasannya Ketidakpuasan Konsumen (Z) bertindak sebagai variabel mediasi antara Kualitas Produk (X) dan Brand Switching (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of spirituality on forgiveness among emerging adulthood employees who experience bullying in the workplace. The research background is based on the phenomenon of high workplace bullying rates in Indonesia, where 73% of workers have experienced unpleasant treatment. Emerging adulthood employees (18-29 years) who are building their professional identity become a vulnerable group to the psychological impacts of bullying. Spirituality was selected as a predictor variable as it is considered capable of being a source of internal strength in facilitating the forgiveness process. This research employed a quantitative method with a survey approach, involving 100 emerging adulthood employees who had experienced workplace bullying. Data collection used the TRIM-18 scale to measure forgiveness and a spirituality scale adapted from Burkhardt (1993). Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation with SPSS. The results showed a significant positive relationship between spirituality and forgiveness (r = 0.741, p < 0.05) with a contribution of 54.9%. The study concludes that spirituality plays an effective role in enhancing forgiveness ability among emerging adulthood employees experiencing bullying and can be integrated into psychological intervention programs in the workplace.

Abstract

Multimedia interaktif merupakan media pembelajaran yang memadukan teks, gambar, animasi, video, dan audio sehingga memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan multimedia interaktif berbasis inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan Construct 2 pada materi minyak bumi serta mengetahui kelayakan dan potensinya dalam menumbuhkan minat belajar peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang meliputi tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Produk yang dihasilkan divalidasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan guru kimia, serta diuji coba secara terbatas melalui uji satu-satu dan kelompok kecil. Hasil validasi menunjukkan multimedia interaktif memperoleh skor 84% dari ahli materi, 94,6% dari ahli media, dan 92,7% dari guru, dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Respon peserta didik juga sangat positif dengan persentase 90% pada uji satu- satu dan 91% pada uji kelompok kecil. Dengan demikian, multimedia interaktif berbasis inkuiri terbimbing layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan berpotensi meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik.
