Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of principal leadership on teacher performance in the implementation of the Field Experience Program (PPL) at SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen, Pematangsiantar City. The research employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive associative method. The population of this study consisted of all teachers at SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen, totaling 32 teachers, and all members of the population were included as research samples using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire developed based on indicators of principal leadership and teacher performance. Principal leadership was measured through indicators including directing ability, communication skills, decisiveness in decision-making, role modeling, and professional development of teachers. Meanwhile, teacher performance was assessed based on indicators such as discipline, responsibility, teaching competence, collaboration, and instructional innovation. Data analysis involved instrument validity and reliability tests, prerequisite assumption tests, and simple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 27. The results revealed that the data were normally distributed and the regression model was considered feasible. Teachers’ responses to the PPL questionnaire were predominantly in the Agree and Strongly Agree categories, with positive responses reaching 50.1%, indicating that principal leadership and teacher performance were at a fairly good level. Hypothesis testing demonstrated that principal leadership had a significant effect on teacher performance. These findings suggest that effective principal leadership contributes to improved teacher performance in the implementation of the Field Experience Program. Abstract

Indonesia dan Persatuan Masyarakat Indonesia (PERMAI) di Penang, Malaysia, dengan tujuan meningkatkan kapasitas Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) dalam menerapkan praktik ramah lingkungan melalui pendekatan rantai pasok hijau. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi UMKM diaspora Indonesia di Penang antara lain ketergantungan terhadap bahan baku impor, penggunaan kemasan yang tidak ramah lingkungan, dan rendahnya kesadaran akan pentingnya keberlanjutan dalam operasional bisnis. Melalui kegiatan pelatihan, lokakarya, dan diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD), peserta memperoleh pemahaman tentang konsep rantai pasok hijau dan praktik berkelanjutan yang dapat diterapkan secara sederhana namun berdampak signifikan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta, penyusunan rencana aksi hijau oleh masing-masing pelaku UMKM, dan terbentuknya jaringan kolaborasi PERMAI Greenpreneur sebagai wadah sinergi ekonomi hijau antar pelaku usaha. Penerapan prinsip reduce, reuse, and recycle (3R), efisiensi energi, dan penggunaan kemasan ramah lingkungan berkontribusi langsung pada efisiensi biaya operasional sebesar 10–15% dan membuka peluang pasar baru yang berorientasi pada keberlanjutan. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa integrasi rantai pasok hijau di sektor UMKM berperan penting dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi berkelanjutan, bahkan di komunitas diaspora.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tantangan dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada kitab kuning yang menekankan kemandirian belajar, berbasis proyek, dan fleksibilitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka dalam pembelajaran kitab kuning kelas X di Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Muallimin UNIVA Medan serta menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap pemahaman peserta didik terhadap kitab kuning. Adapun jenis penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasi. Adapun uji yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas dan uji hipotesis (uji T dan koefisien determinasi) dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSSv26. Adapun populasinya berasal dari kelas X yang diambil menggunakan teknik random sampling. Daa dikumulkan menggunakan kuesioner skala likert. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kurikulum merdeka berbpengaruh signifikan terhadap pemahaman peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran kitab kuning, dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,763 (<0.05) dinyatakan berdistribusi normal. Pada uji T menunjukkan bahwa t-hitung > dari t-tabel, dengan nilai sebesar 2.963 > 2.045 (t-hitung jatuh pada penolakan H0). Kemudian diperkuat oleh uji koefisien determinasi mendapatkan nilai R square sebesar 0,239 atau 23.9%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa Kurikulum Merdeka berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pemahaman peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran kitab kuning yang menuntut pemahaman konsep sekaligus penghayatan nilai-nilai keislaman secara aplikatif dam kontekstual This research is motivated by the challenges in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum on yellow books which emphasizes independent learning, project-based, and flexibility. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of the Merdeka Curriculum in learning yellow books for grade X at the Muallimin UNIVA Medan Private Islamic Senior High School (MAS) and analyze its influence on students' understanding of yellow books. The type of this research uses quantitative with a correlation approach. The tests used are normality tests and hypothesis tests (T tests and coefficients of determination) using the SPSSv26 application. The population comes from grade X which is taken using a random sampling technique. Data are collected using a Likert scale questionnaire. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has a significant effect on students' understanding of learning yellow books, with a significance of 0.763 (<0.05) stated as normally distributed. The T-test showed that the calculated t-value was greater than the t-table value, with a value of 2.963 > 2.045 (the calculated t-value fell short of rejecting H0). This was further supported by the coefficient of determination test, which obtained an R-square value of 0.239 or 23.9%. The conclusion of this study is that the Independent Curriculum contributes positively to improving the quality of students' understanding of the yellow book, which demands conceptual understanding as well as the appreciation of Islamic values ​​in an applicable and contextual manner.

Abstract

The Digital Marketing Training Program for Mosque Youth in Karyamekar Village, Pasirwangi, Garut, was implemented as a form of community service aimed at improving digital literacy, entrepreneurial skills, and developing the character of ethical young Islamic entrepreneurs. This activity used a participatory approach through preparation, training, and ongoing mentoring. Participants, consisting of mosque youth aged 15–24, were trained in digital content creation, Islamic personal branding, and the use of business social media such as Instagram and WhatsApp Business. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge and skills, marked by an average increase of 30% in post-test scores and the creation of independently managed digital business accounts. When compared with ten relevant studies in the past five years, this program excels in integrating Islamic values ​​and implementing a continuous mentoring system, which emphasizes the importance of religious ethics and the sustainability of digital training. Thus, this program not only contributes to improving participants' technical competence but also demonstrates that mosques can play a strategic role as centers for technology-based economic, social, and spiritual empowerment in rural areas.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of Indonesian language of second-grade students of Nurul Huda Islamic Elementary School Jatipulo due to learning that is still centered on books so that students are less active. This study aims to improve early reading skills through the use of picture story books. The research subjects were 14 students, consisting of 6 female students and 8 male students. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection in each cycle. Data analysis was carried out descriptively on test results and observation sheets. The results showed an increase in student activity and learning outcomes, marked by learning completeness of 71% in cycle I and increased to 86% in cycle II. The percentage of teacher observations increased from 75% to 87%, while student observations increased from 76% to 83%. These results indicate that the use of picture story books is effective in improving the early reading skills of second-grade students of Nurul Huda Islamic Elementary School Jatipulo.

Abstract

MSMEs play a strategic role in the Semarang City economy, and the development of financial technology presents an opportunity to expand financial access and maintain business sustainability. This study aims to examine the effect of fintech adoption on MSME sustainability, with financial inclusion as a mediating variable. The method used was a quantitative approach through a survey of 134 MSME fintech users using purposive sampling. The analysis results indicate that fintech adoption has a positive and significant effect on financial inclusion and MSME sustainability. Financial inclusion has also been shown to positively influence MSME sustainability and mediate the relationship between fintech adoption and business sustainability. These findings confirm that fintech adoption supported by increased financial inclusion can strengthen the sustainability of MSMEs in Semarang City.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen household food security on Pulau Soop by utilizing home yards and plastic bottles as planting media. The initiative addressed limited land availability and increasing plastic waste on the small island. Through training on converting plastic bottles into planting containers and cultivating vegetables at SMP Negeri 9 Pulau Soop, students gained knowledge and practical skills in recycling, appropriate technology, and simple cultivation methods. The results show improved student understanding, active participation, and the establishment of a school mini garden as an urban farming model. The program effectively supported environmental education, reduced plastic waste, and enhanced yard-based food security in the small island community.

Abstract

The partner in this Community Service Program is the Komunita Anak Pelangi (K-Apel). The objectives of this community service program are to (a) improve the quality of learning facilities for the community's children; (b) provide age-appropriate teaching materials, learning media, and educational props; (c) provide training and mentoring to volunteers in developing creative and enjoyable teaching methods; (d) establish a simple documentation system to monitor children's learning progress; and (e) develop a more structured and sustainable learning activity structure. The methods used in this program include outreach, training, technology implementation, mentoring, evaluation, and program sustainability. The Community Service Program at the K-APEL Alley Campus was successfully implemented and had a positive impact on the community. This program was able to provide real solutions to the limited access to education for children in the alley through a creative, participatory, and simple technology-based approach.

Abstract

This research investigates the effects of implementing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on the grammatical competence of second-semester students majoring in English Education at San Pedro University. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the study involved dividing participants into experimental and control groups, with the former receiving instruction through PBL while the latter utilized conventional methods. Assessments included pre-tests and post-tests to gauge proficiency in the simple past tense, alongside qualitative measures like classroom observations and student reflections. Findings from quantitative analysis indicated marked enhancements in the experimental group's performance, evidenced by elevated mean scores and reduced variability, suggesting PBL's efficacy in fostering deeper understanding and application of grammatical rules. Qualitative insights further revealed heightened engagement and motivation among learners. Overall, the results underscore PBL's potential as a transformative approach in language pedagogy, recommending its adoption for grammar instruction to cultivate not only accuracy but also communicative skills and learner independence.

Abstract

Ketidakpastian pasar keuangan yang ditandai oleh meningkatnya volatilitas, guncangan global, dan perubahan perilaku investor mendorong perlunya evaluasi kembali peran berbagai aset dalam manajemen portofolio. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mensintesis temuan empiris terkait peran saham, emas, dan Bitcoin dalam menghadapi ketidakpastian pasar keuangan. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan metode kajian literatur melalui perbandingan lintas aset untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaian antara prediksi teori keuangan klasik dengan temuan empiris pasar modern. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa saham secara konsisten diklasifikasikan sebagai aset berisiko dengan volatilitas yang dipengaruhi oleh sentimen dan dinamika pasar, sementara emas relatif mempertahankan perannya sebagai aset lindung nilai meskipun efektivitasnya bersifat kondisional. Bitcoin, yang secara teoritis dipandang sebagai aset spekulatif berisiko tinggi, menunjukkan peran yang lebih kompleks dan kontekstual, berfungsi sebagai instrumen diversifikasi atau lindung nilai dalam kondisi pasar tertentu. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa fungsi aset dalam portofolio modern tidak bersifat statis, melainkan dinamis dan dipengaruhi oleh ketidakpastian pasar serta perubahan perilaku investor.
