Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management(TQM) in improving the quality of financial management at the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) of Enrekang Regency as a public sector institution required to ensure accountability and transparency. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through interviews, observations, and analysis of financial documents, focusing on key TQM principles, including customer focus, continuous improvement, and employee involvement. The findings indicate that the gradual implementation of TQM has a positive impact on operational efficiency, administrative orderliness, and the accountability of financial reporting. However, the comprehensive implementation of TQM still faces challenges, particularly regarding the consistency of leadership commitment and the strengthening of a culture of continuous improvement across all organizational levels.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the unclear legal status of e-money top-up balances and e-commerce stored balances, which function as consumer funds but lack legal certainty under banking regulations, leading to two research questions regarding consumer legal protection and the legal obligations of e-commerce, analyzed through a normative legal research method using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches supported by legal protection theory and consumer protection theory. The first discussion shows that e-money balances are not categorized as bank deposits and are therefore not guaranteed by the Deposit Insurance Corporation, while Bank Indonesia’s float fund regulation provides limited protection that still leaves a normative gap for consumers. The second discussion demonstrates that e- commerce platforms offering stored balances are legally required to segregate consumer funds, apply prudential standards, ensure transparency, and provide compensation mechanisms in accordance with the Banking Act and the Consumer Protection Act. This study concludes that legal protection for e-money balances is not yet optimal and that e- commerce obligations are not fully implemented, recommending regulatory harmonization among the Banking Act, the Electronic Money Regulation, and the Consumer Protection Act, along with strengthened guarantee and dispute resolution mechanisms for consumers.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify clinical and demographic characteristics associated with heart failure and develop an interpretable risk model using binary logistic regression on hospital patient data. Early detection of heart failure is expected to support timely intervention and clinical decision-making based on routine measurements. This study analyzed 130 anonymized patient data with heart failure status as a binary outcome. The initial logistic regression model included all candidate predictors and was then simplified to improve stability and calibration. Results are presented as odds ratios with 95% CIs. Performance evaluation included ROC–AUC, classification metrics, the Hosmer–Lemeshow test, calibration plots, and 5-fold cross-validation. The final model was significant (LR p = 1.0×10⁻⁵; McFadden R² = 0.222) with an accuracy of 81.54%, sensitivity of 89.41%, specificity of 66.67%, AUC of 0.811, and a Brier score of 0.164. Cross-validation showed an average AUC of 0.774 and an accuracy of 0.762. Significant predictors included BMI, serum creatinine, serum potassium, and total cholesterol, with acceptable calibration (p = 0.0767). This model has potential use as an interpretive screening tool, although external validation is still needed.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has had a significant impact on the education sector, particularly for young children who belong to Generation Alpha. This generation grows and develops in an environment that is closely connected to technology use, which makes appropriate guidance essential so that technology can be used wisely and responsibly. At the same time, low levels of literacy, including reading literacy and digital literacy, as well as the increasing risk of deviant behavior in digital spaces, have become challenges that need to be addressed from an early stage. Therefore, this community service activity focuses on the socialization of digital literacy from an early age for elementary school students. The activity aims to foster an understanding of the importance of literacy, develop reading, writing, and storytelling skills, and cultivate a literacy culture within the school environment. The implementation methods include interactive material delivery, group discussions, hands-on literacy activities, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants’ improvement in understanding. The results indicate an increase in students’ knowledge of literacy and digital literacy, accompanied by a growing interest in reading and writing in daily learning activities. Thus, this activity is expected to contribute to strengthening the literacy culture in elementary schools and to serve as a positive form of collaboration between higher education institutions and schools in preparing a generation with strong literacy skills in the digital era.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve the competence of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers in designing and implementing educational gardening learning based on child-friendly agriculture as an effort to stimulate the development and formation of environmentally conscious character in early childhood. PKM was implemented at Trate Mas Maospati Kindergarten, with PAUD teachers as the primary target, while early childhood children became indirect beneficiaries. The implementation method included preparation, socialization, mentoring, learning practice, as well as reflection and evaluation. Socialization focused on introducing the concept of child-friendly agriculture and the benefits of gardening activities for early childhood development. Mentoring was carried out through guidance in preparing lesson plans and direct practice of simple gardening activities that are safe and appropriate to the characteristics of children. The results of the activity showed an increase in the understanding and skills of PAUD teachers in integrating gardening activities into daily learning. Teachers were able to design more contextual learning activities based on direct experience. In addition, children demonstrated active involvement in planting, caring for, and observing plants, which had a positive impact on motor and cognitive stimulation, as well as environmental awareness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of learning approaches on scientific attitudes in science, to determine the effect of learning styles on scientific attitudes in science. Furthermore, to determine the effect of learning approaches and learning styles together on scientific attitudes in science. The research method used is an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design, the sample used was 120 students of class V111 of private MTs Tangerang. The results of this study are There is a significant effect of learning approaches on scientific attitudes in science of private MTs students in South Tangerang City. (1), There is a significant effect of learning styles on scientific attitudes in science of private MTs students in South Tangerang City. (2), There is no significant interaction effect of learning styles and learning approaches on scientific attitudes in science of private MTs students in South Tangerang City. The implications of this research are: (1). It is hoped that educators in teaching and learning activities can choose the right learning approach to stimulate student enthusiasm and learning activities, such as an interactive approach that can create an active learning atmosphere. (2). Learning methods or learning styles are not inherited from within students, but are largely determined by the environment designed by the teacher. Therefore, teachers need to pay attention to the learning styles of students. 3. There is a need for construct validation on the instrument to strengthen the findings of other research results.

Abstract

This activity originated from the low level of student concern for campus cleanliness and environmental conditions. The main goal of this movement is to foster environmental awareness while building a sustainable culture of cleanliness. The implementation of the activity uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, namely by utilizing and enhancing existing potentials. Concrete forms of the activity include collective clean-up work, planting ornamental and medicinal plants, building goat pens and maintaining catfish, as well as installing small fences as boundaries between areas. The results can be seen from the increased student participation in maintaining cleanliness, the creation of a neat and organized campus environment, and the growing awareness that cleanliness is a shared responsibility. This activity proves that change can begin with small steps carried out in unity. With the spirit of collaboration, support from the campus, and the creation of a comfortable, healthy, and inspiring learning space, this movement is expected to become a real example of the sustainability of a clean culture in educational environments.

Abstract

This community service program aims to accelerate the adoption of Generative Artificial Intelligence technology through the socialization of the use of Google Gemini in four strategic regions of Indonesia. Implementation was carried out specifically at the University of North Sumatra (Medan) to represent the Sumatra cluster, the National Industrial Design Center (Yogyakarta) for the Java cluster, the Integrated Business Service Center/PLUT-KUMKM (Pontianak) for the Kalimantan cluster, and Makassar Digital Valley (Makassar) for the Sulawesi cluster. This program targets three main pillars: increasing the efficiency of teaching tools for educators, digitizing independent financial reports, and optimizing marketing copywriting for MSMEs. The methods used were participatory workshops and technical assistance. Evaluation results showed that the use of Google Gemini was able to reduce administrative time for educators by up to 60% and significantly improve the quality of MSME digital promotional content. This program proves that equalizing AI literacy across Indonesia's major islands is key to strengthening economic competitiveness and the quality of national education

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ reading comprehension through the use of the Text-Based Learning (TBL) model in class IX B of SMPN 1 Galesong Selatan. Conducted as Classroom Action Research across two cycles, the study involved planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through a pre-test, post-test Cycle I, post-test Cycle II, observation sheets, and field notes. The results showed a consistent increase in students achieving the minimum mastery criterion (KKM 75). In the pre-test, only 6 students (25%) reached mastery. This improved to 12 students (50%) in Cycle I and further increased to 17 students (70.8%) in Cycle II, meeting the success indicator of the study. The improvement occurred because TBL provided structured guidance through topic introduction, teacher modeling, collaborative activities, and independent practice. These stages helped students understand text organization, identify the main idea, interpret detailed information, and comprehend vocabulary more effectively.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology provides significant opportunities in education; however, its utilization by teachers remains limited. This community service activity aimed to enhance the competencies of teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Ciampel Karawang in utilizing AI for developing effective, creative, and innovative lesson plans. The implementation methods included: (1) training on AI platform usage (ChatGPT, Canva AI, Grammarly); (2) mentoring in AI-based lesson plan development; and (3) evaluation of implementation results. The activity involved 20 teachers from various subjects. Results demonstrated: (1) a 78.5% increase in teachers' understanding of AI in education based on pre-test and post-test; (2) completion of 20 innovative AI-based lesson plans with average quality score of 85.1 (Excellent); (3) increased teacher satisfaction with lesson plan development ease scoring 4.60/5.0. This activity contributes to improving the quality of learning planning and promoting technology integration in teaching and learning activities in the digital era.
