Abstract

The prevalence of hypertension in Central Java is the largest non- communicable disease, while according to the Pemalang District Health Office, the highest hypertension occurs in Taman District, especially the Banjardawa Health Center (93.05%). High blood pressure is closely related to people's diet. Uncontrolled eating patterns such as high sodium, high fat and lack of potassium trigger high blood pressure. The study aimed to determine the correlations between diet and high blood pressure at the Banjardawa Health Center. The design of this study is correlation analytics, a cross-sectional approach, with accidental sampling techniques with a sample of 78 respondents, instruments using dietary questionnaires and sphygmomanometer tools to determine the correlation between diet and blood pressure using the Pearson product-moment test. Respondents' diet mean (21.49). On systolic blood pressure, the respondents mean (159.40). At diastolic blood pressure, the respondents mean (92.83). The results of the hypothesis test using the Pearson product-moment test results of eating patterns with systolic blood pressure value 0.01 (<0.05) with a correlation value of r (0.290), the results of eating patterns with diastolic blood pressure value 0.01 (<0.05) with a correlation value of r ( 0.348). Accepted with a low correlation strength parameter, namely, there is a relationship between diet and blood pressure in hypertensive people at the Banjardawa Health Center, Pemalang Regency. Conclusion:A Correlation exists between diet and blood pressure in hypertensive people at the Banjardawa Health Center, Pemalang Regency.

Abstract

Latarbelakang: Keterbatasan tenaga medis (dokter) menimbulkan situasi yang mengharuskan perawat melakukan tindakan pengobatan atau melakukan tindakan medis yang bukan wewenangnya. Abstract

Adolescents experience physical and psychological changes, making them vulnerable to external influences. The lifestyles of those around them easily sway their identity-finding process, and they often take shortcuts without considering the consequences. Adolescent resilience depends on self-concept. Resilient adolescents must be strong-willed, uninfluenced, and positive in adverse situations. The design of this study used a description correlation with a cross- sectional approach. A proportionate stratified random sampling technique was used to sample 240 respondents. Marlen S's self-concept and resilience scales from Wagnild and young questionnaires adapted by Aptini Dwi were used as the instrument. Pearson correlation was used to analyse data. The findings indicated that the mean age of the participants was 16.24 years. Approximately 74.2% of the population identifies as female. All participants identify as followers of the Islamic faith. Most participants (93.5%) did not have prior experience attending a boarding junior high school. Most participants reside in households with both their biological mother and father (97.5%), and the prevailing marital status of the respondents' parents is that they remain in a committed relationship (82.9%). The self-concept variable had an average score of 116.65 (±13,782), whereas resilience had an average score of 118.15 (±21,372). The analysis findings indicate a statistically significant association between self- concept and adolescent resilience, with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Furthermore, the correlation between these two variables is modest, with a coefficient of r = .542.

Abstract

Indonesia holds the second highest ranking globally, after India. The issue of treatment adherence intervention poses a significant difficulty for thosediagnosed with tuberculosis (TB). The occurrence of adverse effects associated with antituberculosis drugsis a contributing factorto thelack ofsuccessin the management of pulmonary tuberculosis. This study aims to determine drug adherence and side effects of anti- tuberculosis drugs in pulmonary TB patients in the area of Kusuma Bangsa Public Health Centers, Pekalongan City. The present study employed a quantitative descriptive methodology with crosssectional approach. The present study involved a sample size of 35 participants who completed the MMAS-8 questionnaire, provided information on pharmacological side effects, and used patient treatment cards. In this study, adherence to medication was observed among 35 respondents. All 35 respondents (100%) demonstrated adherence to the prescribed medication regimen. The reported side effects included a lack of appetite in 6 patients (17.1%), nausea in 16 patients (45.7%), abdominal pain in 4 patients (11.4%), skin redness in 31 patients (88.5%), joint pain in 11 patients (31.4%), fever in 5 patients (14.2%), tingling sensations in 7 patients (20%), skin redness in 6 patients (17.1%), burning sensation in the feet of 3 patients (8.5%), visual disturbances in 6 patients (17.1%), and the ability to differentiate between red and green colors during treatment in 31 patients (88.5%). Although there are many adverse effects from anti-tuberculosis treatments, nurses are expected to always provide health education and motivate patients to stay positive with taking medication.

Abstract

Post-stroke patients often experience disturbances in movement function due to paralysis, either partial or total paralysis. One of the solutions to help post-stroke patients train their range of motion is by administering mirror therapy. This study was conducted at the Prambon Health Center to examine the impact of mirror therapy on post-stroke patients' ability to adjust physically. The IPAQ (International Physical Activity Questionnaire) was employed as a measuring tool as part of this study's pre-experimental, one group, pre-posttest design approach. The study's population consisted of 21 respondents, and using a total sampling technique, 21 respondents were selected as the sample. Data were analyzed by Paired t-test. The results showed that before the intervention was given most of the respondents (66.7%) had moderate physical activity criteria and after the intervention was given most of the respondents (85.7%) had moderate physical activity criteria. The results of the analysis showed that the p value of 0.000 means that there is an effect of mirror therapy on physical adaptation in post-stroke patients. Mirror therapy can affect physical adaptation by providing visual stimulation to the brain through observing healthy body parts through mirror reflections. The main key to the success of the mirror therapy intervention is that it occurs when the respondent is serious and focused in carrying out each stage of this intervention. Respondents are expected to apply this intervention as often as possible so that the range of motion can be honed properly and physical adaptation can increase.

Abstract

The lack of knowledge among student’s about the prevention of conjunctivitis leads to many students contracting conjunctivitis. Conjunctivitis is the most common eye disease in the world after cataracts and glaucoma. Prevention of conjunctivitis can be achieved by improving personal hygiene, maintaining cleanliness in the invironment, and increasing knowledge about conjunctivitis. One effort that can be made to enhance student’s knowledge about conjunctivitis is by providing health education. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of health education media on students knowledge about conjunctivitis. This research was a quantitative pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample for this study consisted of 77 students selected throught probability sampling using the cluster sampling technique. The statistical analysis in this study employed the Wilcoxon test. Based on the analysis result, it was found that the short story media significantly influenced students knowledge about the prevention of conjunctivitis ( p-value 0.00(a ≤ 0.05) ). Short story media is highly effective in improving students knowledge about the prevention of conjunctivitis, making it a viable alternative media for health education.
