Abstract

Micro-scale chicken processing entrepreneurs in Sindangsari Village, Serang Regency, have limited understanding of the importance of halal certification. This certification plays a vital role in building Muslim consumer trust, expanding market access, and ensuring compliance with Sharia principles across the production chain. This community service aimed to enhance halal literacy through educational socialization explaining the concept, benefits, and procedures of halal certification in accordance with national regulations, particularly Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Assurance. A quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test design without a control group was applied to three purposively selected entrepreneurs. Data were collected using structured questionnaires before and after the intervention. The results indicated significant improvement in understanding the definition of halal food (100%), examples of halal food (99%), and the purpose of halal labeling (67%). Moderate improvement occurred in identifying haram ingredients (20%) and interpreting the halal logo (25%) since participants had prior basic knowledge. These findings confirm that educational outreach integrating Sharia values and regulatory frameworks effectively enhances halal awareness among micro-entrepreneurs. Continuous mentoring is necessary to ensure that participants not only comprehend but also implement halal standards as part of sustainable and competitive business practices.

Abstract

The ASA Cendikia Program: Fostering Students’ Learning Motivation in Rendang Village is a community service initiative aimed at enhancing students’ motivation and the overall quality of education at the elementary school level in Rendang Village. The program was initiated in response to low student interest in learning and limited educational facilities, which have negatively affected students’ academic achievement. The methodology employed in this program consisted of four main stages: planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The activities were carried out through collaborative involvement of university students, teachers, and local village authorities as key partners. Program activities included academic tutoring, distribution of learning materials, introduction to interactive learning methods, and motivational training for students. The results indicate a notable increase in students’ enthusiasm for learning, improved interaction between teachers and students, and heightened awareness of the importance of education. Therefore, this program is expected to serve as a sustainable model of educational empowerment that supports the enhancement of learning motivation in rural communities.

Abstract

This community service program is located in Sanda Village, Tabanan Regency, Bali. The problems faced by the target partners of the program (the Sanda Village Tourism Awareness Group/Pokdarwis) include the lack of skills among Pokdarwis members in developing rural tourism products based on agrotourism; limited synergy and coordination between Pokdarwis and other community groups in Sanda Village; and insufficient involvement of local stakeholders in supporting tourism development in the village. The solutions implemented include providing assistance in designing agrotourism packages, assisting in the development of interpretation materials for agrotourism activities, as well as facilitating improved coordination and collaboration with other community groups to support tourism product development in Sanda Village. The outputs achieved include: 1) The creation of agrotourism packages such as Farming Trekking, River and Rice Field Exploration, and a Plowing the Rice Field attraction; 2) Improved promotional facilities through content specifically highlighting agrotourism; 3)The formulation of an integrated institutional model for agrotourism development. This community service initiative has been positively and enthusiastically received by the people of Sanda Village, and the sustainability of the program is highly expected.

Abstract

This community service project produced a conceptual interior design for Al-Muttaqin Mosque, integrating Islamic spiritual values with local wisdom. The design process adopted a participatory approach, involving mosque administrators and congregants to identify spatial needs and cultural identity. The main concept, “Simplicity in Wisdom,” is expressed through the use of natural materials such as wood, stone, and exposed brick, creating a warm and honest atmosphere in harmony with nature. A small reflective pool in front of the mihrab serves as a calming psychological element, while natural lighting enhances spiritual ambience and ecological balance. The mosque’s terrace functions as a social space that fosters interaction among worshippers, reflecting the local values of cooperation and togetherness. Overall, this design represents not only visual aesthetics but also a dialogue between tradition and modernity within the context of contemporary Islamic architecture in Indonesia.
