Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of work discipline and workplace environment on employee performance at the Road and Bridge Technical Unit of East Java Bina Marga Public Works Department in Kediri. This explanatory research focuses on explaining the relationship between variables, i.e. work discipline (X1), workplace environment (X2), and employee performance (Y). Using census sampling, all 79 members of the population were selected as the sample. The instruments were assessed using validity and reliability tests, and the hypotheses were tested using F-test, T-test, and coefficient of determination test. Further, the data was examined using classical assumption test consisting of normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests and was analyzed using multiple linear regression. All tests and analyses were performed in IBM SPSS 25. This study finds that work discipline positively affects employee performance, that workplace environment significantly influences employee performance, and that workplace discipline and workplace environment simultaneously influence employee performance.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify and analyze the effects of workplace environment and job satisfaction on employee performance at the Cooperative, Micro Business, and Labor Agency of Kediri City. The population of this applied quantitative research is the employees of the Cooperative, Micro Business, and Labor Agency of Kediri City, from which forty people were selected as the respondents using probability sampling method. The results of the inferential statistical analysis and multiple linear regression have led to findings that workplace environment and job satisfaction significantly affect employee performance. The findings are an indication that the performance of employees at the Cooperative, Micro Business, and Labor Agency of Kediri City is determined by their workplace environment and job satisfaction.

Abstract

The high national consumption pattern in the area of household products has made retail industry receives considerable supports from the government. In order to make themselves remain exist in the market, retailers, especially the traditional ones, need to apply new strategies in response to recent developments inside and outside their business. The goal of this research is to discover the appropriate marketing strategy for Green Mart by analyzing its internal and external factors. This qualitative descriptive research was organized by conducting observations, documentations, and interviews with two of the store’s staff, i.e., supervisor and operational employee, and four of its regular customers. In its collection, the data was processed and presented using the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) matrix, External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrix, Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) matrix, Internal External (IE) matrix, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). This study finds that the applicable strategy for Green Mart is market penetration. The suggested activities are registering its brand and improving the packaging of its unbranded products, opening online stores, issuing membership cards, making contents to be uploaded in Facebook and Instagram, and hiring experts in sales promotion.

Abstract

Employee performance development and improvement is necessary for any companies in order to be able to maximally attain their business goals. Therefore, they carry out many ways to ensure the prime condition of their employee performance, including by identifying factors affecting it. It is currently believed that there are two factors that influence performance: work discipline and work motivation. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze (1) the direct effect of work discipline on employee performance, (2) the direct effect of work motivation on employee performance, and (3) the indirect effect of work discipline on employee performance. This research is considered as explanatory research, a study that aims to identify the relationships between two or more variables. The data of this research was harvested through a census conducted on all 100 employees of CV Sumber Berkah Sejahtera Pasuruan, a cigarette company. The analysis was conducted by applying multiple linear regression in SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions). This study finds that (1) work discipline and work motivation significantly and simultaneously influence employee performance, (2) work discipline significantly and simultaneously affects employee performance, and (3) work motivation significantly and simultaneously influences employee performance.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the partial and simultaneous effects of human resource capability and work motivation on the organizational performance of Sasirangan MSME in Banjar Regency. The MSME is one of the production businesses that have survived for a long time. In order to ensure high performance, their human resource must be well governed. This quantitative explanatory research explains the influences of the variables through hypothesis testing. Using saturated sampling, 112 managers of Sasirangan MSME in Banjar Regency were selected as the sample. The data was harvested from interviews and questionnaires and was analyzed using data quality test, classical assumption test, and multiple linear regression. This study finds that (10 human resource capability and work motivation simultaneously have positive and significant effects on the organizational performance of the MSME in the regency, that (2) human resource  capability partiall has a negative and significant effect on the organizational performance, and that (3) work motivation partially has a positive and significant effect on the organizational performance of the MSME in the regency.

Abstract

This research was conducted to produce an appropriate product development for Infires Lab, a company engaged in K-Pop merchandise industry. The approach used in this qualitative descriptive research is design thinking, which consists of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The informants are collectors of K-Pop merchandise who are also the users of Infires Lab. The data was harvested from semi-structured interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The results of the design thinking analysis indicate that users need special and sturdy products that can protect photocard collections from damage, which are not too small so that they can be found easily, and which are aesthetic in terms of color and design. Based on the results of the usefulness test conducted on users and target users, the produced prototype has fulfilled the need of the users and the K-Pop merchandise collectors.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a feasibility study on the Alamanda girls' boarding house business. Girls' boarding houses are a popular form of accommodation sought after by students and professionals in need of temporary living arrangements. The study evaluates various aspects of business feasibility, including market analysis, financial analysis, risk analysis, and environmental analysis. The research methodology involves collecting primary data through direct observation at the business location and conducting interviews with the business owner, staff, and customers. Secondary data is also utilized to support the analysis. The findings indicate that the Alamanda girls' boarding house business has a promising market potential. There is a high demand for girls' boarding house accommodation, particularly in areas near universities and office complexes. The financial analysis reveals a favorable long-term profit potential for the business. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the Alamanda girls' boarding house business is feasible for development. To enhance business success, it is recommended to implement effective marketing strategies, maintain service quality and facilities, and manage risks effectively.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the effects of job stress and work discipline on the performance of BPS employees in Malang City. This explanatory research explains the causal relationships between variables through hypothesis testing. Using saturated sampling, all 31 employees of BPS of Malang City were selected as the respondents. The primary research data was harvested from Likert-scaled questionnaires, and the secondary was collected from books, past studies, online articles, official website, and documents related to the profile of the organization. This study employs multiple linear regression analysis, research instrument test, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis indicate that the job stress among the employees of BPS of Malang City is low and that their work discipline is high. This research also finds that job stress has no significant effect on the employee performance and that work discipline significantly affects the employee performance. Furthermore, job stress and work discipline simultaneously have significant effect on the employee performance.

Abstract

The development of Information Systems Technology in the field of health through the internet one of them is E-health. Applications that provide online Health Services one of them is Halodoc. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of handling customer complaints on user satisfaction Halodoc in Malang and the effect of features on user satisfaction Halodoc in Malang. Determination of the number of samples using non-probability Sampling based on Purposive Sampling techniques and obtained 60 respondents. In this study, to measure customer satisfaction, Likert scale is used by using a measuring instrument in the form of questionnaires, interviews, literature studies, and internet browsing. The results showed that complaints (X2) partially handling complaints (X2) significantly affect user satisfaction (Y). Because the path coefficient marked positive (0.360) indicates the influence of both is positive or unidirectional, so H3 is accepted or significant. The results of the path analysis showed that the handling of complaints significantly affect user satisfaction. The results also showed that the application features offered to service users have a positive impact on the satisfaction of Halodoc application users in Malang.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the implementation of employee’s work motivation at Bank Sinarmas Syariah in Malang. This research uses theories related to human resource management and motivation in human resource. The research object is the Islamic Business Unit of PT Bank Sinarmas in the branch office of Malang. This qualitative descriptive study uses the phenomenological approach. The primary data was harvested through interviews, observations, and documentation, which was analyzed using Moustaka’s data analysis theory. This model consists of data reduction, data elimination, data bracketing, data thematization, and data synthesis. Source triangulation and theoretical triangulation were used to validate the data. This study finds that the bank has used various forms and processes to implement the work motivation of its employees and that those forms and processes have been in line with theories related to work motivation as presented by experts.
