Abstract

This study aims to analyze the governance of common property and strengthening social capital in the Cibulao Coffee Forest Farmer Group (KTH) in Tugu Utara Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency. Using a qualitative approach with case studies, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document studies. The results show that the synergy between collective ownership of forest resources and social capital based on trust, norms, and social networks creates a hybrid institution that supports sustainable forest management and community economic empowerment. However, this success is still limited to the micro scale and faces the risk of institutional exclusion if it is not integrated into the local political system in a participatory and strategic manner. David Easton's model and endogenous growth theory are used to map the challenges and opportunities for the long-term sustainability of the Cibulao Coffee KTH.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cigarette advertising on adolescents' attitudes toward cigarette purchasing decisions and the role of the media in supporting the cigarette industry. Cigarettes have become a serious issue in global health due to their addictive substances that have a detrimental impact on health. Cigarette advertising, particularly through television and social media, is considered to greatly influence adolescents' perceptions of cigarettes as symbols of “coolness” and masculinity. This study employs a qualitative approach through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and online media observation. The research findings indicate that most adolescents are unaware of the connection between advertising and their decision to purchase cigarettes; however, advertising still exerts an indirect influence on the formation of adolescents' opinions and attitudes. The study also found that weak government regulations and the widespread presence of cigarette advertisements exacerbate this situation. Therefore, strict oversight of advertisements and cigarette distribution, particularly those targeting teenagers, is crucial in efforts to control cigarette consumption in Indonesia.

Abstract

The concept of Green Hotel is part of a sustainable business strategy that integrates environmentally friendly practices within the global hospitality industry. Although global trends indicate a significant increase in consumer preference for eco-friendly accommodations, this phenomenon not been equally adopted in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the factors causing the gap between green hotel campaigns and the responses of Indonesian consumers. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review and secondary data, the research found a discrepancy between consumers' positive attitudes and their actual behaviors, influenced by factors such as price, low environmental education, a consumption culture that is not yet environmentally supportive, and inconsistent implementation by hotels. The study recommends a collaborative strategy involving the hotel industry, government, and consumers to enhance understanding, trust, and value toward green hotel practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

Social entrepreneurship has emerged as a transformative approach that integrates innovation, inclusion, and sustainability to advance gender empowerment. This study provides a systematic literature review (SLR) of research published between 2020 and 2025, examining how social enterprises contribute to women’s empowerment through inclusive and sustainable business models. Following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, a comprehensive search was conducted using the Scopus database, limited to peer-reviewed, open-access articles in English within the social sciences and business fields. From 180 identified records, 20 duplicates were removed, resulting in 160 studies included in the final synthesis. Thematic analysis revealed five interconnected themes: (1) innovation and inclusive business models; (2) gender empowerment and leadership; (3) community development and social value creation; (4) barriers and enablers of women’s entrepreneurship; and (5) sustainability and institutional support. The findings demonstrate that empowerment through social entrepreneurship is multidimensional, encompassing individual agency, social capital, and institutional transformation. Innovation and open collaboration serve as catalysts for inclusion, while policy and institutional frameworks determine long-term sustainability. The study integrates social capital theory, inclusive innovation, and feminist institutionalism to explain how empowerment emerges within entrepreneurial ecosystems. It concludes that gender empowerment in social entrepreneurship is both a process and an outcome of systemic change—requiring inclusive policies, capacity building, and equitable access to innovation. This review contributes to theory and practice by providing a comprehensive framework linking social entrepreneurship to gender-responsive sustainable development.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education has become a strategic instrument in fostering entrepreneurial intention among university students globally. This literature review examines the influence of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention through the lens of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). A systematic review of 15 selected empirical studies published between 2015-2025 was conducted, focusing on diverse educational contexts across Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America. The findings reveal that entrepreneurship education significantly and positively influences entrepreneurial intention, with this relationship mediated by TPB components (attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control) and entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Moderating factors include prior entrepreneurial experience, academic major, gender, and psychological capital. The study provides practical implications for curriculum development and policy-making in entrepreneurship education, while highlighting the need for context-specific approaches. Future research should explore longitudinal effects and the role of digital entrepreneurship education in shaping entrepreneurial intentions

Abstract

This study reviews prior research to explain how social media marketing (SMM) influences brand image, and ultimately purchase intention—and highlights that the link from SMM → purchase intention is often inconsistent and may depend on mediators. This is a conceptual / literature-based paper: it builds the framework using deductive reasoning and a systematic review of prior literature. The findings suggest that a strong brand image plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between social media marketing efforts and actual purchasing behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of strategic environmental policies into development planning in Gunung Mas Regency, Central Kalimantan, by highlighting the effectiveness of the implementation of Strategic Environmental Assessment (KLHS) in the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD). Using a prospective approach based on SMIC-PROB Expert, this study evaluates the most likely policy scenarios and their systemic impacts on sustainable development. Simulation results indicate that the stagnant scenario (00000) has the highest probability of 53.4%, reflecting weak integration and synergy across sectors. Sensitivity and dependency analyses indicate that strengthening sustainable agricultural systems is the most influential variable, while community-based ecotourism development is the most dependent. This study recommends reformulating regional policies by placing KLHS as the primary instrument, improving environmental governance based on spatial data, and developing five priority interventions: land and forest rehabilitation, sustainable agriculture, community ecotourism, green infrastructure, and integrated waste and sewage management. This study emphasizes the need for policy transformation from a normative-sectoral approach to a systemic, mission-driven, and inclusive strategy to achieve low-carbon and sustainable development at the regional level.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in the Indonesian economy, but still face various challenges in achieving business sustainability. Two factors considered capable of driving MSME sustainability are halal certification and the use of e-commerce. Halal certification serves as a guarantee of quality and consumer trust, while e-commerce opens wider market access and increases business efficiency. This study aims to comprehensively examine the role of halal certification and e-commerce in driving MSME sustainability through a literature study approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis of various relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that halal certification and e-commerce, individually and simultaneously, contribute positively to increasing the competitiveness, performance, and sustainability of MSMEs. The synergy between the two is an important strategy in facing the challenges of the digital economy and global competition.
