Abstract

Ulama are people who play an important role in the lives of Muslims, starting from asking questions about things related to religion to solving social problems in society. There are quite a lot of scholars who have or possess very high levels of knowledge, but not many people recognize and know these scholars, as is the case with KH. Fakhrurrazi. This research aims to find out the role of KH. Fakhrurrazi in the field of hadith in Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. This research was conducted using qualitative methods and field research, as well as data analysis using descriptive-analytical analysis. The research results show that the role of KH. Fakhrurrazi in the field of hadith is reflected in his pious and productive personality in writing ahkam hadith books. The writing of this book was specifically used as a means to make things easier for the students and the people of Seribandung village who studied with it. Apart from that, the ahkam hadith he wrote was also aimed at people who really needed explanations of hadiths that discussed the law at that time to provide new insights. Although KH. Fakhrurrazi only re-copied the books contained in Kutub al-Sittah, but the results of his work had a significant impact on society, namely changing the pattern of life of the community with regard to the practices of muamalah law. This is a major contribution by KH. Fakhrurrazi in his time studying hadith, considering the limitations and developments of the times, which were not like today.

Abstract

Muhaddisat are female hadith narrators who are rarely discussed, even though they also narrate many traditions. For example, Aisha RA is the fourth most narrated hadith with 2210 traditions. Many of the traditions narrated by muhaddisat relate to things that only women experience and are related to their daily activities. This article aims to determine the influence of the traditions narrated by the muhaddisat on her profession. The author uses a qualitative method by investigating the traditions narrated by the muhaddisat in the books of hadith by clarifying them based on their professions. The hadith data is then investigated in the kutub al-tis’ah which contains seven professions of muhaddisat using the keyword profession. The data that the author found that the muhaddisat had seven professions related to their narrations, namely, Saudah bint Zam'ah as an animal tanner has 3 traditions in which the text of the tradition discusses tanning animals, Asma' bint Abu Bakr as a farmer and gardener has 2 traditions in which the text of the narrated tradition discusses her profession, Asma' bint Yazid as a bridal dresser has 1 tradition in which the text of the tradition is about her profession as a bridal dresser, Shifa' bint 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abd Shamsy as a teacher and cupping expert has 1 hadith in which the text is about her profession, Salma as a medic and midwife has 1 hadith in which the text is about her profession, Umm Aiman and Umm 'Ayyasy as servants have 1 hadith in which the text is about her profession as a servant, and Lubabah as the caretaker of the Prophet's grandson who has 1 hadith in which the text is about how he took care of the grandson of the Prophet. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the profession of the muhaddisat has an influence on the hadith that they narrate so that the text discusses their profession.

Abstract

Every believer who commits a sin, Allah always commands to say istighfar as a way to erase the sin. It is important to study from the perspective of the Qur'an how the interpretation of the verses of istighfar can help erase every sin if practiced. This article aims to discuss the verses of istighfar for believers in the perspective of Tafsir al-Maraghi. By using qualitative methods and descriptive analytical library research, this article examines the verses of istighfar by referring to the book Mu'jam al-A'lam which found seven verses that are in line with this discussion. The article concludes that al-Maraghi's interpretation of the verses of istighfar provides an understanding of the importance of always saying istighfar. Al-Maraghi explains the position of istighfar not only as a suggestion to erase sins, but also equal to repentance, istighfar is more important than asking for victory, the position of istighfar as a veil, the position of istighfar when the situation is difficult is the best time, the position of istighfar as a form of compassion and the position of istighfar as a way to be facilitated in hisab. Of course, the meaning of istighfar by al-Maraghi can be used as a guide for believers to always introspkesi themselves by saying istighfar to Allah SWT.

Abstract

Crime and violence are frequently and easily encountered in the news and everyday life. The Qur'an itself strictly regulates the punishment for people who commit crimes, but it is still difficult to prevent crime as a whole. This study aims to find out clearly the nature of treason and how to overcome it according to Tafsir al-Azhar and Tafsir fi Zhilal al-Qur'an. The formulation of this research problem is how the interpretation of treason verses, forms of treason, and how to overcome it in the perspective of Tafsir al-Azhar and Tafsir fi Zhilal al-Qur'an? This research uses qualitative methods, library research and data analysis techniques in the form of descriptive-analytical with muqarrin (comparative) interpretation approach. Thus, this study concludes that the interpretation of the treason verses has some similarities and differences according to Tafsir al-Azhar and Tafsir fi Zhilal al-Qur'an. Both agree that treason is a form of typology. Both agree that treason is a form of deceit or strategy carried out by humans and contrary to the teachings or will of Allah. While the difference, Tafsir al-Azhar focuses on the treason committed after the disaster befalls, without mentioning the specific form of the deception. While Tafsir fi Zhilal al-Qur'an views treason as an attempt to oppose and obstruct the spread of Islamic teachings, by mentioning specific forms such as propaganda and lies.

Abstract

The Qur'an has proven its miracle, not only in terms of its existence but also in its teachings that have been proven by its development. The existence of tafsir cannot be separated from the interaction between the Islamic world and Greek philosophical thought. This article aims to analyze the development of falsafi tafsir, where the emergence of this tafsir in medieval times has contributed to the development of Qur'anic tafsir. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive analytical approach. Primary data obtained from various literature on falsafi tafsir, while secondary data as supporting documents, such as books, journals, and articles. Thus, the results show that the existence of interpretation with a falsafi tafsir style has become a new color in the method of interpreting the Qur'an, namely with a hermeneutic approach. This falsafi tafsir has contributed a lot to thought in the Islamic world, not only understanding in terms of the word and context of God, but also changing human perceptions for the better.

Abstract

Strong character is the moral and spiritual foundation needed for humans to face the challenges of life. The Qur'an as a guide to life contains many verses that describe the ideal human character. One of the contemporary commentaries that examines human strong character in the Qur'an is Tafsir al-Mishbah by M. Quraish Shihab. This study aims to analyze how Quraish Shihab interprets the concept of strong character in the Qur'an and its relevance to modern life. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach to the verses related to human strong character. The results showed that according to Quraish Shihab, strong character in the Qur'an includes piety, patience, honesty, and courage in upholding the truth. Quraish Shihab's interpretation provides an understanding that the strength of human character is not only physical, but also includes spiritual and moral aspects that shape a person's personality. Of course, this can foster the spirit in the soul of each individual to worship Allah. This finding reinforces the importance of strong human character as the main capital in building a better individual and society. This study is expected to provide deeper insights into the concept of strong human character in the Qur'an and contribute to the insight of contemporary tafsir by applying Islamic values comprehensively.

Abstract

Islam is a source of values and ethics that provide guidance for its adherents, including in the discourse of trade. This research focuses on analyzing the ethics of trade in the verses of the Qur'an by referring to the interpretation of Wahbah Az-Zuhaili in Tafsir al-Munir. The purpose of this study is to find out how the ethics of trade in the Qur'an, so that Muslims are expected to carry out trade in a way that supports welfare and avoids unethical practices in the world of trade. The research method used is qualitative with the type of literature. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive-analytical with thematic interpretation method. The results show that trade in the Qur'an has two meanings, namely human trade with God and human trade with humans. There are five basic principles in trading with fellow humans, namely the principles of unity, balance, free will, responsibility, truth (virtue and honesty). In az-Zuhaili's interpretation, he relates to the laws of muamalah fiqh where one must have guidelines for behavior in trade affairs in Islam, namely morals and ethics, validity of transactions, justice and equality, prohibition of usury, ownership and management of property, transparency and disclosure, and contracts and agreements. This article contributes in a practical way to the daily life of commerce, especially in relation to trade where Muslims are required to comply with the guidelines set out in the Qur'an.

Abstract

Tafsir isyari is one of the styles of interpretation that is often used as an analysis of the verses of the Qur'an. In its interpretation, Tafsir isyari uses more conscience, because every verse in the Qur'an has a hidden meaning. This article aims to find out the application of the values of Tafsir isyari content in the modern era, so that Muslims can understand and apply the content implied in the Qur'an. By using qualitative methods and descriptive analysis through literature, this article can conclude that tafsir isyari interprets the verses of the Qur'an based on divine signs inspired by God to his servants. Although it has a more hidden inner dimension, it has a great influence in the modern era. In this context, Tafsir isyari provides spiritual depth that is relevant to the challenges of the times, while opening up space to answer social and moral problems in contemporary society. However, it also requires a careful and balanced approach so as not to get out of the original context of the Qur'an, so that the understanding given can still be accounted for both theologically and socially. This article contributes to enrich the study of the style of interpretation of the Qur'an that the significance of Tafsir isyari can be used as a guide for Muslims in spiritual and social life.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the concept of morality in al-Alusi's Tafsir Ruh al-Ma'ani, focusing on verses dealing with morality in the Qur'an. The research seeks to identify the ethical principles conveyed in Tafsir Ruh al-Ma’ani as well as how al-Alusi interprets moral values for individual and social life. The method used is a thematic study with a qualitative-descriptive approach, where verses about morality are analyzed based on al-Alusi's interpretation in Ruh al-Ma'ani. The results show that Tafsir Ruh al-Ma’ani presents an in-depth understanding of Islamic ethics, focusing on the development of individual morals and their influence on social relations. It emphasizes the importance of traits such as honesty, justice, patience, and compassion in achieving a harmonious life according to Islamic teachings. Morality values in the Qur'an are not only normative rules, but also contain wisdom that shapes human character towards moral perfection. Tafsir al-Alusi emphasizes the importance of moral integration in daily life as a tangible manifestation of faith. These findings contribute to enriching the understanding of the concept of morality in Islam and its relevance in the modern context.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the verses of usury and its relation to human activities by making three lending applications namely Shopee PayLater, Smart Credit, and Savings and Loan Cooperative as research objects. These three applications are quite popular among the public so that many Muslims participate in them. This research is a qualitative research by applying the maudhu'i method. Primary data comes from verses of the Qur'an, while secondary data is taken from books and articles related to the research. All data will be analyzed with descriptive-analytical method that describes and interprets the object of research by containing facts in accordance with the actual situation. The results of the study found that usury confirmed in several verses of the Qur'an has five indicators, namely: First; there is an addition to the payment time, second; there is an addition to the payment, third; the exchange of unequal value of goods, fourth; there is an element of intimidation, and fifth; there are parties who benefit and parties who are harmed. These five indicators are not met in the Cooperative Savings and Loan application, but are indicated in Shopee PayLater and Smart Credit. The existence of these five indicators is expected to be able to help in filtering any form of economic activity of the Muslim community so as to avoid usury activities that are forbidden. This research contributes to helping filter any form of economic activity of the Muslim community so as to avoid usury activities that are forbidden by religion.
