Abstract

This quantitative descriptive method research was conducted to see the influence of brand image, price, and product quality on customer purchasing decisions at Excelso Pakuwon Surabaya. Questionnaires were distributed to 100 respondents to collect primary data on their responses. The results of partial hypothesis testing show that brand image and product quality have a significant and positive effect on purchasing decision variables. On the other hand, the price factor was found not to have a significant effect. The results revealed that brand image plays an important role in shaping customers' positive perceptions of Excelso, which is considered to have consistent quality, a cozy atmosphere, and uniqueness that suits customers' lifestyles. Product quality is also an important factor, where customers value the quality of coffee and the variety of menus available. In contrast, price did not have a significant effect, as some respondents felt Excelso's prices were less competitive than its competitors. These findings suggest that Excelso needs to focus on strengthening brand image and product quality to improve purchasing decisions. In addition, a review of the pricing strategy is recommended to better match customer expectations to strengthen market competitiveness.

Abstract

Poverty in Indonesia is a complex problem for the government which is caused by low income levels that lead to economic vulnerability for families. Many Indonesians, who are predominantly Muslim, tend to underestimate household financial management. This study aims to provide an understanding of financial literacy from an Islamic economic perspective, focusing on the financial management of Muslim families to build strong economic resilience and maintain family welfare. This research method is qualitative literature-based research. The study's results show that the financial management of Muslim families is based on the concept of maqashid sharia and avoid elements of usury, maysir, and gharar to achieve both worldly and spiritual well-being. Islamic principles such as mudharabah, musyarakah, ijarah, qardhul hasan, wakalah, and kafalah can be applied to achieve maqashid sharia. Additionally, the Sakinah Finance model can stabilize the finances of Muslim households. The main challenges in family financial management include a lack of transparency and poor communication between family members. Therefore, family asset management can be implemented by maintaining balanced budget allocations, such as for income, needs, desires, education, inheritance, grants, endowments, and emergency funds.

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic economics requires innovation in contract implementation to address modern challenges. This research examines the fundamental reasoning and philosophical aspects of combined contracts (hybrid) through a descriptive-analytical approach, considering both normative and doctrinal aspects of Islamic law. The study reveals that hybrid contracts are the result of juristic reasoning (ijtihad) aimed at creating adaptive financial instruments while maintaining compliance with Shariah principles. The development of these hybrid formats is conducted rationally to maximize benefits for Islamic business practitioners. Several forms of hybrid contracts that have evolved include Mudharabah Musytarakah (partnership and profit-sharing), Musyarakah Mutanaqisah (asset ownership financing), al-Musyarakah al-Muntahiyah bi al-Tamlik (gradual partnership), and al-Ijarah al-Muntahiyah bi al-Tamlik/IMBT (lease with ownership option).

Abstract

PT Telkom Indonesia implemented a strategic restructuring plan to boost its competitive advantage and reinforce its position in the Indonesian telecommunication industry. The first strategy is fixed mobile convergence (FMC), which changed all Telkom Regional target markets and business models from B2C to B2B. Telkom Regional 3, which served customers in the West Java region, was designated by management as a pilot for Telkom Regional in its transformation to B2B. During the organizational transformation process, B2B readiness survey was conducted to see whether employees in each region are ready for transformation. The result showed that Telkom Regional 3 has the lowest score in B2B readiness compared to the average score and the other six regions. The area that needs to be improved by Telkom Regional 3 is related to capability subject matter expert (SME), territory leadership, and partnership policy model. The framework used in this research is the KPMG six layer target operating model. The data was collected by interview to validate the business issue and gain more comprehensive insight based on KPMG six layer target operating model variables. The result showed that the first issue occurs because of the gap between subject matter expert (SME) expectations and reality regarding B2B business. Also, no figure leader B2B can give an example of an ideal B2B business. The second issue occurred because there is a need for a shift in mindset from B2C to B2B for teams in the territory, and the last issue arose because of rigid partnership policy. This research is expected to provide an overview of the causes of the low B2B readiness score in Telkom Regional 3, along with suggestions for further improvement.
