Abstract

Memorizing the Qur’an is an act of worship that requires commitment, discipline, perseverance, and strong motivation. In the memorization process, students need not only the ability to remember verses but also continuous guidance to maintain enthusiasm and consistency in achieving their memorization targets. This article aims to analyze the role of mentors in increasing the motivation of memorize the Qur’an for students of tahfidz al quds house. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques that can be used to explore students’ experiences and mentors’ strategies in the tahfidz process. The discussion indicates that mentors play important roles as motivators, guides, role models, evaluators, and facilitators. Efforts to increase motivation can be carried out through advice, individual attention, memorization assistance, realistic target setting, regular evaluation, rewards, and the creation of a comfortable and religious learning environment. Intrinsic motivation, such as the desire to become closer to Allah and complete Qur’anic memorization, needs to be strengthened through extrinsic motivation provided by mentors and the surrounding environment. Therefore, consistent mentoring is an important element in maintaining students’ enthusiasm for memorizing and preserving the Qur’an.

Abstract

Attendance recording at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Izzul Qur'an Pagaralam was previously conducted manually, making the process less effective, time-consuming, and prone to recording errors. This community service activity aimed to implement a QR Code-based attendance system to improve the effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency of student attendance management. The implementation methods included needs assessment, system design, QR Code creation for each student, system testing, user training, and evaluation. The attendance system was integrated with Google Spreadsheet to enable automatic attendance recording and real-time monitoring. The implementation results showed that the QR Code-based attendance system simplified the attendance process, reduced recording errors, accelerated attendance recap, and facilitated attendance monitoring by the boarding school administrators. The program also received positive responses from administrators because it supported a more organized and technology-based attendance management system. Therefore, implementing a QR Code-based attendance system can serve as an effective digital solution to improve attendance management in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role as the backbone of the rural economy. However, most MSME operators in Cinangneng Village, Tenjolaya District, Bogor Regency, still face fundamental challenges regarding limited understanding of halal certification, business legality documentation, and low adoption of digital payment systems and modern financial management. This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to enhance the capacity, product legality, and digital competitiveness of Cinangneng MSMEs through a participatory approach and intensive, sustainable mentoring. The program was conducted on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Cinangneng Village Hall through a strategic collaboration between students of Prabu Siliwangi Islamic University (UNIPRAS), Ummul Quro Al-Islami Institute (IUQI)/Bogor Islamic University (UIB), Halal Center Mathla'ul Anwar (HCMA), and Bank BTN. The implementation methodology adopted a Participatory Action Research (PAR) framework integrated into five stages: needs identification, program planning, education and mentoring implementation, monitoring and controlling, and impact evaluation. The initiative involved 31 total participants, targeting 8 food-processing MSME units lacking halal certification, alongside bank account opening and QRIS facilitation for 20 participants. The results demonstrated significant improvements in understanding product halal urgency, business identification number (NIB) and halal registration preparation, QRIS-based cashless payment adoption, and digital financial literacy access. This multi-institutional synergy successfully transformed the governance of Cinangneng MSMEs into administratively organized, halal-assured, and digitally adaptive business entities.
