Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of religious coping in the mental health and psychological well-being of caregivers of chronic illness patients, including cancer, dementia, mental disorders, and stroke, to inform the development of psychological support programs that integrate spiritual values. A literature review method was employed on ten scientific articles published between 2021 and 2025, retrieved from Google Scholar, Garuda, ResearchGate, and other databases, selected based on their relevance to religious coping and caregiver mental health, then analyzed, compared, and synthesized to summarize substantive findings. The results show that religious coping functions as an adaptive psychological resource used relatively universally by caregivers across populations, although its impact depends on its valence, negative religious coping is consistently associated with higher caregiver burden, while positive religious coping does not always significantly affect burden and only explains a small proportion of variance in adaptation, despite playing an important role as a mediator or predictor in certain populations. It is concluded that religious support should be positioned as one component within a holistic approach combined with material, social, and other psychological support, accompanied by assessment of religious coping types and cross-disciplinary collaboration between clinical practitioners and religious leaders to sustainably support caregiver mental health.

Abstract

Candibinangun Village, located in Sukorejo District, is an area active in cassava farming and processing, which provides a source of income for the local population. This activity generates significant amounts of waste in the form of cassava peels, but its utilization is not optimal, often leading to accumulation of organic waste and negative environmental impacts. This community service program aims to improve the community's knowledge and skills in processing cassava peel waste into liquid organic fertilizer (POC), an environmentally friendly and economically valuable alternative fertilizer. The method used in this community service is a participatory approach that includes field observation, outreach, training in POC production, fermentation assistance, and evaluation of the activity results. This liquid organic fertilizer is made through a fermentation process using cassava peels, EM4, molasses, and water for approximately 14 days. The results of this program indicate that the community is able to understand how to process cassava peel waste into POC and has begun applying the fertilizer to their agricultural land. In addition to helping reduce environmental pollution from organic waste, this activity also contributes to raising public awareness of the importance of sustainable agriculture and opens up opportunities for developing organic fertilizer-based businesses. Utilizing cassava peel waste to produce liquid organic fertilizer (POC) could be a solution for creating a circular economy at the village level and simultaneously reducing farmers' dependence on chemical fertilizers.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education requires students not only to develop the ability to utilize technology effectively but also to understand the ethical principles governing its use. This community service program aimed to enhance AI literacy based on Islamic values in order to strengthen ethical communication among students at SMK Sasmita Jaya 2 South Tangerang. The program employed the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach through an interactive workshop consisting of a needs assessment, pre-test, instructional sessions, demonstrations, discussions, hands-on AI practice, and a post-test. The participants comprised 50 students from the Computer and Network Engineering (Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan/TKJ) program. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants' understanding, as indicated by an increase in the average score for the Islamic digital literacy aspect from 68.80 to 84.40 (23%), the ethical communication and Islamic character aspect from 76.20 to 89.40 (17%), and the overall average score from 72.50 to 86.90 (20%). In addition to improving participants' understanding of the responsible use of AI, the program strengthened their awareness of the importance of honesty, trustworthiness (amanah), verification of information (tabayyun), and responsibility in digital communication. These findings indicate that integrating AI literacy with Islamic values is an effective approach to developing students who possess both digital competencies and strong ethical character in responding to the rapid advancement of technology.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education requires teachers to develop the competence to integrate technology and innovative learning approaches into classroom practices. However, a needs analysis at MI Al Istiqlal Karawang revealed that 54% of teachers experienced difficulties in using digital learning media, 56% predominantly relied on conventional teaching methods, and 50% of the available learning media did not optimally support the learning process. This community service program aimed to enhance teachers’ competence in understanding Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics(STEM)-based learning, utilizing Canva, and developing interactive and contextual STEM-based Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD). The program was implemented through needs analysis, socialization, hands-on training, E-LKPD development practice, mentoring, and evaluation. A total of 50 teachers from MI Al Istiqlal Karawang participated in the program. Evaluation was conducted through observation, product assessment, participant responses, and pre-test and post-test measures, with paired analysis conducted for 12 teachers with complete datasets. The results demonstrated an increase in the mean competency score from 22.33 in the pre-test to 28.42 in the post-test, representing an improvement of 6.08 points (27.2%). The paired sample t-test indicated a statistically significant difference between the pre-training and post-training scores (t = 3.562; df = 11; p = 0.004 < 0.05). Improvements were also observed in teachers’ understanding of STEM-based digital learning media, Canva proficiency, E-LKPD development skills, and readiness to implement the developed media in classroom instruction. Furthermore, participants successfully produced STEM-based E-LKPDs for Mathematics, Science, and Pancasila Education. These findings indicate that practice-oriented training combined with mentoring is effective in strengthening teachers’ digital and professional competencies and supporting the transformation toward innovative, interactive, and 21st-century learning.
