Abstract

The Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC ) states that children who are victims of sexual violence have the right to receive special protection and recovery services so that it does not cause trauma and disrupt the child's mental health. This research aims to get an overview of services for child victims of sexual violence in DKI Jakarta. This research uses a qualitative approach to understand in depth the service process for child victims of violence carried out by government institutions, namely the Handayani Center and local governments, especially in DKI Jakarta, namely P2TP2A. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with service providers and officers, observations of the service process and documentation studies in case reports. The informants for this research are service officers (hot line service, caregivers, and social rehabilitation), children's social workers (Sakti Peksos) as companions. Research results show that the Handayani Center under the Ministry of Social Affairs during 2022 has provided social rehabilitation for 8 children who are survivors of sexual violence, and the DKI Jakarta UPTD P2TP2A also handled 120 children. The rehabilitation service process has referred to the standards outlined by WHO, however there is still a need to improve services related to monitoring to ensure children are mentally healthy and can continue their child development tasks.

Abstract

Pengungsi seringkali kehilangan dukungan sosial dan ikatan komunitas yang mereka miliki sebelumnya di negara asal. Pengungsi harus membangun kembali jaringan sosial dan sistem pendukung di negara baru tempat mereka berada untuk mencapai kehidupan yang berarti. Lebih dari 12.000 pengungsi di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan integrasi komunitas yang sebenarnya merupakan solusi sementara atas masa transit yang berkepanjangan. Kebutuhan akan adanya teknologi khusus untuk membantu terjadinya integrasi antara dua komunitas yang berbeda menjadi penting untuk dapat menjawab tantangan penanganan krisis pengungsi di Indonesia. Community-based Co-Sponsorhsip Scheme (C2S2) dikembangkan untuk menjawab tantangan yang ada. C2S2 adalah skema sponsorship berbasis komunitas untuk mendorong integrasi dari dua sisi, yaitu komunitas pengungsi dan komunitas tuan rumah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan metode kualitatif. Informan terdiri dari representatif dari kedua komunitas dengan Kalideres sebagai lokus penelitian. Tahapan penelitian dimulai dari mengidentifikasi kondisi desain awal, mengembangkan desain awal, implementasi desain, melakukan refleksi, dan penyempurnaan desain. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa desain awal C2S2 perlu untuk 1) menambahkan kelembagaan sebagai pihak yang bertanggungjawab; 2) mengganti istilah sponsor menjadi community;3) menambahkan dua cara memperoleh sponsor; dan 4) megubah bentuk layanan sponsorship menjadi beragam. Selanjutnya, implementasi desain dilakukan untuk melihat apakah C2S2 mampu mendorong integrasi antara komunitas tuan rumah dan komunitas pengungsi di Kalideres. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi desain, C2S2 mempengaruhi peningkatan integrasi antara kedua komunitas, baik secara sosial, fisiki, dan psikologis.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of material absorption in the teaching and learning process for students at SD Negeri 2 Sanding. The research employed a qualitative method and utilized direct observation during field research activities. This research shows that students have an improved ability to comprehend the presented material compared to conventional methods. Occasionally, both parties may come to a conclusion or express dissatisfaction with the other party's content. However, one can still learn from these situations and determine their own attitude. This study suggests further research due to the short duration of the study.

Abstract

Village was identified as a potential tourist destination for implementing this ABCD approachThis article aims to explain the implementation of the Asset-Based Community Development approach in the Cigadung Creative Village. This research uses a qualitative data analysis method, which involves describing and describing the data collected without intending to make general conclusions. The Cigadung Creative Tourism Village was found to have great potential in the aspects of human capital and social capital. Apart from that, this village has adequate physical capital, reflected in infrastructure and easy access, supported by good environmental capital. Financially, the Cigadung Creative Tourism Village also has sufficient resources to support its development. The Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach is described as an alternative strategy for community development, challenging top-down needs-based approaches and aimed at helping underserved communities. Abstract

The implementation of sex education as sexual harrasment mitigation in Indonesia is still segmented, exclusive, and minor. This condition happened because sex education in Indonesia is still not inclusive as the impact of taboo barrier of social construct existing. This research then explores how sex education is being developed to vulnerability groups by Sekolah Rakyat P3S as social worker on beside Code River. Non-participatory observation and indepth interview were implemented to collect data and P3S as case study approach. The result shows that P3S formualted sex education curriculum concept based on the highest trend of sex knowledge of the students. It emerged two central materials, those are biologist aspect and social protection. Biologist aspect was delivered at the first learning and the other was delivered at the last learning. There were some obstacles in developing sex education at P3S such as students’ loss of concentration and language restriction. Recomendations were made on how to optimalize sex education in vulnerability groups at P3S.

Abstract

Empowering people with disabilities as a form of social work is rarely discussed from a social worker's perspective, giving rise to bias. Discussion of empowering people with disabilities is limited to certain segmentations and does not yet present the main goal of empowerment, namely social welfare. This study will further explore the empowerment of disabled people carried out by Roemah Difabel in Semarang City using the perspective of social workers. Data was collected using participant observation and semi-structured interviews. The results of the research show that Roemah Difabel in Semarang City has fulfilled the construction of the value of empowering disabled people for social welfare, namely in the form of restoring family life, helping overcome problems, increasing abilities, and facilitating access. Some of the empowerment activities carried out include education, skill improvement, advocacy, and ease of information dissemination. Meanwhile, there are several weaknesses in the empowerment of disabled people by Roemah Difabel. Some of these weaknesses are the lack of facilities to support the activity process at Roemah Difabel, the small number of volunteers compared to the number of disabled people who are members at Roemah Difabel, and the lack of human resources for volunteers to support activities at Roemah Difabel.

Abstract

Recently, decision-making regarding children's right to participate has become a major focus in development policies and programs in various regions of Indonesia. One significant initiative in this regard is the "Child-Friendly Regency" (Kabupaten Layak Anak or KLA) program implemented in Bandung Regency through the Children's Forum. This study employs a qualitative method, combining literature review and empirical study, to examine the fulfillment of children's right to participate through the Bandung Regency Children's Forum in the implementation of the Child-Friendly Regency Program. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and relevant literature analysis. The study involved the management of the Children's Forum, the head of the Children's Forum, and the head of the section for children's rights fulfillment in Bandung Regency. The results indicate that Bandung Regency is committed to becoming a Child-Friendly Regency, with various initiatives to involve children in decision-making processes. The Children's Forum serves as an essential platform for children's participation, allowing them to contribute to development planning. However, challenges such as limited funding, a lack of stakeholder understanding, and geographical constraints hinder the program's implementation. To address these challenges, the Bandung Regency government has implemented strategies such as data analysis, the establishment of children's forums at the sub-district and village levels, and intensive socialization to increase understanding of children's participation rights. Cross-sector cooperation with businesses, NGOs, mass media, and academics is also crucial to support the success of the KLA program. Abstract

Event Tourism berperan penting untuk mempromosikan pelestarian budaya, pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pengembangan masyarakat. Study case Pasar Kangen mencontohkan bagaimana pendekatan berbasis acara dapat merevitalisasi pasar tradisional, menumbuhkan apresiasi budaya, dan berkontribusi pada ekonomi lokal. Secara keseluruhan,penelitian ini menawarkan wawasan ke dalam perspektif baru tentang pariwisata uacara di pasar kangen yang memberikan ambience saat event diselenggarakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dari penilitian ini pertama event tourism menjadi model baru dalam pengembangan Masyarakat local. Kedua Pasar kangen dapat sebagai destinasi baru dalam konsep pariwisata. Pasar Kangen berhasil menggabungkan kebudayaan, kuliner, atraksi, dan pengalaman masa lalu menjadi satu kesatuan yang menarik minat pengunjung, baik lokal maupun mancanegara. Event tourism berbasis pasar seperti pasar kangen, memberikan alternatif baru dalam mengembangkan sektor pariwisata dengan tetap menjaga nilai-nilai lokal dan memanfaatkan keunikan dari tradisi  budaya lokal.

Abstract

People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) have become a national discourse as a problem that needs to be addressed both in infected individuals and in social behavior towards PLWHA. Unfortunately, even though massive treatment has been carried out, the negative stigma of the surrounding community is still attached to PLWHA. This research will further explore how social work is carried out in the social restoration of community stigma towards PLWHA by the DIY Social Service. Research data was collected through two data search techniques, namely non-participant observation and in-depth interviews. The results of the research show that the DIY Social Service has carried out a number of activities in the form of preventive actions to restore the social stigma of society towards PLWHA in the Yogyakarta Province. Some of these actions include leaflets on social media, radio broadcasts, social propaganda through talk shows and wayang cangkruk, as well as supervision of Social Welfare Institutions (LKS) operating in DIY Province. However, researchers managed to find weaknesses in the program, indicated by the strong negative stigma towards PLWHA in society. The researcher further suggested that social restoration needs to be carried out in a more inclusive and targeted manner

Abstract

This study explores the business concepts implemented by PT. Rimba Makmur Utama (PT. RMU) within its operational units, focuses on the Katingan Mentaya Project aimed at community-based conservation. The research employs descriptive statistical approaches alongside quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate the implementation of five principles of community-based conservation by RMU. Findings indicate that RMU has successfully established collaborative relationships with the community through partnerships and the use of the CADASTA platform. Additionally, women are identified as key agents of change through active participation in floating health posts, rattan craft training, and microfinance skill development. Mediation and compensation are implemented through activities such as Zero Burn Zero Chemical (TBTK), Agroecology Farmer School (STA), and local plant conservation initiatives. A rights-based approach is reflected in RMU's efforts to improve community sanitation infrastructure. The revitalization of traditional and local institutions is also prioritized to maintain traditional knowledge in environmental management, exemplified by the Agroecology Sustainable Farmer Cooperative and the Peatland Sustainable Farmer Group in Bamadu Village. This study illustrates RMU's contribution to introducing innovation in conservation while strengthening community participation and cultural revitalization to achieve sustainable and inclusive environmental management.
