Abstract

Public Speaking is very important and very much needed in communicating with the community. The purpose of this public speaking socialization is so that all those involved in developing tourist destinations, such as tourist villages, airlines, hotels and travel agents in the Riau Islands Province understand and know how to communicate properly and correctly to tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province. Several types of public speaking are informative public speaking, persuasive public speaking, entertaining public speaking, technical public speaking and short public speaking. The problem that we found in the tourism industry of the Riau Islands Province was a condition that the use of good and correct public speaking in the tourism industry had not been maximized. So that it has an impact on the poor service provided to tourists during their visit to the Riau Islands Province. The method we use in this Community Service (PKM), is that we collaborate with the Tourism and Culture Office of the Riau Islands Province to disseminate information to all those involved in developing tourist destinations, such as Tourism Villages, Airlines, Hotels and Travel Agents in the Riau Islands Province. The outcome we hope for with this Community Service (PKM) is a condition where all tourism actors in the Riau Islands Province can communicate with tourists in Bintan Regency through the use of good and correct public speaking. The end result is the occurrence of tourist satisfaction during their visit in the Riau Islands Province, which has an impact on the increasing number of tourist visits in the Riau Islands Province.

Abstract

Tujuan peneitian ini untuk memberikan pengetahuan dasar tentang berkendara dan peraturan lalulintas yang aman, selamat dan sehat dengan protocol virus covid 19 bagi siwa SMP Negeri 9, Jakarta Timur. Fenomena berkendaraan yang terjadi beberapa tahun belakangan ini baik di kota maupun di pedesaan/ perkampungan menujukkan perilaku yang tidak sehat dan salah, dimana semakin banyak anak remaja belum cukup usia diberi ijin dan/atau peluang untuk berkendaraan oleh keluarga ataupun mereka yang secara diam-diam di jalan propinsi atau jalan raya secara ilegal. Melalui metode observasi ditemukan perilaku berkendaraan menyimpang ini pada siswa SMP Negeri 9 Jakarta di masa normal. Metode survey dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang lebih lengkap melalui wawancara, sehingga tujuan pengabdian yang di arahkan dengan melakukan sosialisasi tentang tentang pengetahuan dasar tentang berkendara yang aman dan selamat, pengetahuan dasar tentang peraturan lalulintas dan pengetahuan dasar tentang cara cara sehat terkait dengan protocol virus covid 19, dapat dilakukan dengan mendapatkan hasil yang diharapkan yaitu timbulnya kesadaran siswa SMP Negeri 19 Jakarta untuk tidak berkendaraan secara ilegal. Dengan sosialisasi melalui online dihadiri oleh 417 siswa selama dua jam dapat diikuti tanpa adanya kendala apapun.

Abstract

The background of the socialization was because there was no Safe School Zone, the large number of school children, there were always accidents in front of the school, and the behavior of road users who did not obey the rules. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to provide socialization on the importance of ZoSS to students and educators at SMP Negeri 55 with an emphasis on traffic safety for students and road users. The method of implementation is through face-to-face with the school without any students due to the covid epidemic. The explanation was through a lap top and a video that was shared with the homeroom teacher via social media to students with parental assistance. The material socialized contains: important ZoSS and signs, correct procedures when crossing the road, safe and dangerous places to cross, helmets, cycling and health protocols. The result of this socialization activity is the growth of awareness and understanding that can change student behavior in traffic safely and safely so that it becomes a habit or daily behavior. The conclusion is the hope that a ZoSS will be made in front of SMP Negeri 55 by related parties and students will become pioneers and role models in traffic in the environment: schools, homes and communities.

Abstract

Motorized vehicles are one of Indonesia's leading products, which every year experience an increase in distribution flows between regions. Sea transportation has an important role in the distribution of motorized vehicles. Therefore, adequate port infrastructure is needed. Patimban Port is one of the National Strategy Projects during the reign of President Joko Widodo based on the Decree of the Minister of Transportation No. 87 of 2017 concerning the Port Master Plan which aims to reduce logistics costs and is expected to increase the competitiveness of ports in Indonesia. Currently Patimban Port does not have a good development strategy. This is one of the problems in efforts to improve port competitiveness. The method of presentation is carried out using the zoom provided by the Lecturers of the Trisakti Institute of Transportation and Logistics (ITL) which aims to provide an explanation of port development, port competitiveness and the SWOT method. The results of this community service prove that the presentation of PkM material is very useful and overall implementation has been very good and very appropiate to the industry situation.

Abstract

An orderly and ethical culture is important in using Mass Transportation Modes.The existence of the MRT also creates a culture of order and ethics in transportation. The number of Indonesian people who do not know the culture of ethics and order in transportation, especially among the younger generation, is an important thing that must be considered. Abstract

PT. Railway Logistics (KALOG) as a partner in this PKM is a company engaged in the field of rail-based freight transportation with business fields in the form of logistics distribution, container terminal management, loading and unloading, warehousing, packing, labeling, transportation, tracking, logistics escort and logistics management. The problem of partner priority is the lack of human resources who understand specifically about the application of Kaizen principles and the handling of dangerous goods, especially for the delivery of goods by train. The purpose of this activity is; Provide basic knowledge of kaizen principles, handling dangerous goods and the formation of a profitability mindset for employees. The event was held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Office of PT. KALOG, Railway Warehousing Complex, Kp Bandan Rt. 2/4, Jakarta 14430. Methods of Activities with training, Q&A and video playback. The stages of the activity are: a. Stage of Proposal Making, b. Survey Stage: Review of the location of devotion to PT. KALOG and conducted an interview with the Chairman of PT. Local KALOG, c. The stage of identification of partner problems and identification of equipment needs for socialization, d. Stages of Implementation of activities and the final stage, namely the creation of reports and articles of PKM journals. The result of this activity is the increasing knowledge and understanding of participants about the importance of applying the principles of Kaizen and Dangerous Goods in creating profitability and safety and security of freight by train. Participants of the activity are 26 people consisting of leaders, employees and stake holders from PT. KALOG numbered plus 4 Lecturers and 5 ITL students The survey results showed that socialization was effective because it was able to increase the knowledge and understanding of participants in the principles of Kaizen and Dangerous Goods in handling goods, especially by train

Abstract

The population and the high travel needs for Jabodetabek residents, make mass public transportation become important today. There are only two options available, whether using own vehicles or public transportation. The choice of using public transportation is an important thing for the people to do, considering that quite a lot of public transportation has been provided by the government to connect these cities. Mass public transportation available to serve the people of Jakarta and surrounding cities such as Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi are Commuter Line, Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Feeder Bus. The government is committed to developing and supporting an integrated transportation system. As a form of higher education concern for the transportation community, it is to carry out advocacy so that people want to use the mass public transportation provided by the Government. Massive and intense socialization to the public about how to use public transportation properly and comfortably continues so that order, comfort and safety in using mass public transportation can be carried out. The socialization was held at the Darushsholihat Orphanage in Bogor City by offline and online. To measure the success of the socialization, the respondents are given a pre-test before the socialization was carried out and a post-test after the socialization was carried out. The results of the socialization indicated an increase in knowledge, understanding and preference for the use of Jabodetabek mass public transportation.

Abstract

Kereta api merupakan salah satu mode transportasi yang diminati oleh masyarakat Indonesia karena relative cepat, mudah dijangkau dan dan mempunyai daya angkut yang besar. Dalam hal operasionalnya, rel kereta api pasti bersinggungan dengan jalan raya dapat menimbulkan berbagai masalah yang menyangkut aspek keselamatan dan keselamatan transportasi, diantaranya kemacetan dan kecelakaan. Sering terjadinya kecelakaan di perlintasan sebidang disebabkan karena ketidakdisiplinan para pengguna jalan ketika melintasi perlintasan sebidang kereta api. Salah satu hal yang perlu didisiplinkan adalah mengenai kesadaran dan peran masyarakat akan keselamatan dan keamanan transportasi. Kecelakaan pada kereta api tidak hanya merugikan pengguna jalan tapi juga dapat merugikan pihak PT KAI dan juga para penumpang yang menggunakan jasa kereta api tersebut. Maka dari itu diperlukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat khususnya pengguna jalan yang melintasi perlintasan sebidang agar mempunyai sikap disiplin dalam berkendara dan juga menaati rambu-rambu disekitar perlintasan untuk menjaga keselamatan diri dan keselamatan perjalanan sepur.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to provide understanding and understanding for students in grades 1-3 at SDN Jakasampurna III-Bekasi, with the hope that students will be more orderly in traffic. Early knowledge will foster awareness of safe and secure traffic, and become a good habit in orderly traffic. The problem faced by the school is that the awareness of elementary school students in traffic towards safety and security is very low, every year there are always accidents involving students and road users, the school environment is crowded and various vehicles pass, so that it makes traffic jams during school time. This socialization activity was held on Saturday, April 19, 2022 at SD Negeri Jakasampurna III Bekasi City with 50 participants. The implementation method is Face-to-face Learning (PTM) using animated videos, songs and Power Point. The implementation stages consist of: 1) Reviewing the location of the school; 2) Visiting the school and interviewing the Principal of SD Negeri Jakasampurna III Bekasi City; 3) Determine the problems faced by the school and identify the existing equipment in the school; 4) Implementation of Socialization.

Abstract

Safety is one of the attributes of transportation in general and road transportation or traffic and road transportation in particular. Safety is something that is priceless, but few people are aware of maintaining their own safety. Road traffic safety is a condition where everyone avoids the risk of accidents during traffic caused by human, vehicles, roads and environment (RI Law No 2, 2009).  Many high school students violate traffic rules and lack understanding of traffic norms. Such as breaking traffic lights or running lights, driving a motorbike/car without a driver’s license, pillion not using a helmet, not turning on the lights during the day, not using a seat belt while driving. Because the understanding of the traffic norms in high school students has a big impact, according to the conditions that are increasing day by day, for this reason we propose participation in the form community service program in the form safety road socialization to students in grade 11 and 12 at SMAN 8 Jakarta. The socialization was carried out by explaining the importance of understanding traffic norms and obeying traffic regulations. Through this community service program, it is hoped that it can arouse the awareness of the hearts of students to increasingly obey traffic rules and understand more about traffic norms.
