Abstract

Analysis Of Seafarer Certification, Skills Ship Crew, And Ship Crew's Welfare As Mediation Variables Against Ship Operational Performance. This study aims to determine the effect of certification, skills, and welfare of the crew on the operational performance of ships at PT Amas Samudra Jaya. This study uses quantitative methods, with the number of samples based on the Slovin formula of as many as 100 respondents. Collecting data in the form of a statement sheet with a Likert scale model. To solve the problems the authors, use two methods of data collection, namely, field data (field research) and library data. Both methods of data analysis use path analysis with the Smartpls3 SEM model. The results of the analysis and discussion show that the first hypothesis has a significant positive direct effect on seafarers' certification on the welfare of crew members. Second, there is a significant positive direct effect of crew skills on the welfare of crew members. Third, there is a significant positive direct effect of seafarers' certification on the operational performance of ships. Fourth, there is a significant positive direct effect of crew skills on ship operational performance. Fifth, there is a significant positive direct effect on the welfare of the crew on the ship's operational performance. Sixth, the welfare of the crew can mediate seafarers' certification of the ship's operational performance. Seventh, the welfare of the crew can mediate the skills of the crew on the operational performance of the ship.Keywords: Seafarers Certification, Crew Skills, Crew Welfare, Ship Operational Performance

Abstract

Transportation is one type of movement that occurs in life in carrying out every activity; however, in large cities, transportation problems such as traffic jams frequently occur. One among them is Bekasi City, where one of the crossroads in the CBT area of Bekasi City, particularly the signalized intersection of Jalan Raya Pekayon, Bekasi City, is facing extreme traffic. During peak hours, the volume of traffic flow causes a backlog of vehicles on the road at each leg of the crossroads. Based on the problem description, this study will look into the management and engineering of signalized intersection traffic on Jalan Raya Pekayon. This study uses a quantitative method with analysis based on the 2014 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines. The results show that the number of cycle times and the condition of the current phase at the intersection are still less effective, owing to the intersection's performance assessment, especially the degree of saturation, delays, and queues, which are still very high. However, after analyzing the proposed problem-solving scenario in Scenario 2, there is an increase in intersection performance with a decrease in delays of 89.80% (weekdays), 75.31% (weekends), queues of 87.21% (weekdays), and 68.78% (weekends).

Abstract

Toboali Public Transportation Terminal is one of the most important terminals in South Bangka Regency due to the route access of public transportation in Toboali as the capital of Bangka- Belitung Province. Each public transport to Sadai Port area and to Pangkal Pinang City will go through this terminal. The purpose of the study is to determine and analyze the level of service quality toward the users satisfaction at Toboali Terminal in South Bangka Regency. There are some main problems which are; the traffic flow continues to become denser, some terminal facilities are inadequate, the schedule of public transportation arrival in the terminal is not precise, the late response to terminal internal condition, and lame security condition in the terminal. The sample used in this study was 50 respondents. The data analysis technique used Customer Satisfaction Index method which aims to determine the level of service users satisfaction. Based on the calculation of Customer Satisfaction Index, the results obtained in the form of the level of service users satisfaction with the quality of Toboali Terminal services. The level of passenger respondents satisfaction is 67% where the value is in range of 0.66-0.80. It means that overall passenger respondents are satisfied. Reliability is the dimension of the highest level of satisfaction with the quality of service at Toboali Terminal.

Abstract

This research aims to measure service quality and timeliness which has an impact on passenger loyalty and passenger satisfaction on the Argo Parahyangan train. Some problems, such as the frequency of use of the Bandung-Jakarta Argo Parahyangan Railway transportation services, have not shown a minimum limit every weekend. There is still a difference between the departure and actual arrival of the Argo Parahyangan train against the schedule that has been set. The arrangement of the operating plan has not been maximized due to limited facilities. Research with a sample of 89 respondents and data analysis method using the method of path analysis. The results show that passenger satisfaction can mediate the indirect effect of service quality on passenger loyalty. Passenger satisfaction is able to mediate the indirect effect of punctuality on passenger loyalty. The key finding of this research is the perception of passengers who feel they have never received other services as comfortable as rail transportation and state that they will not switch to using rail transportation.

Abstract

An orderly and ethical culture is important in using Mass Transportation Modes.The existence of the MRT also creates a culture of order and ethics in transportation. The number of Indonesian people who do not know the culture of ethics and order in transportation, especially among the younger generation, is an important thing that must be considered. The students at the As Sa-adah Islamic Boarding School located in Garut also have an interest in using the MRT. A relatively new and modern mode of transportation.
