Abstract

The enactment of Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press and Law Number 32 of 2000 concerning Broadcasting has ushered the mass media business into a new paradigm, where freedom of speech, expression of thoughts, and opinions are implicated with the emergence of various local and national media, whether in print or electronic form. The quality, whether good or bad, of the content in mass media largely depends on the sharpness of journalists in seeking and selecting their news materials. In order to maintain professionalism, it is imperative for journalists to always use the correct methods and procedures in collecting, processing, and disseminating information while adhering firmly to professional ethics. The limited competence and quality of human resources of journalists covering the Provincial Government of South Sumatra have resulted in suboptimal journalistic activities, indicating a lack of knowledge and responsibility in accordance with the professionalism required. From this background, the author is interested in conducting research in the form of a thesis with the title: "Implementation of Journalistic Code of Ethics by Journalists in the South Sumatra Provincial Government." The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of the Journalistic Code of Ethics by journalists in the South Sumatra Provincial Government. The research method used by the researcher is a qualitative approach. Based on the research results, it is revealed that the Indonesian Journalists Association implements the Journalistic Code of Ethics by journalists in the South Sumatra Provincial Government based on four important aspects of implementation: a) Continuous Communication Process, b) Resources, c) Disposition/Attitude of Implementers, d) Bureaucratic Structure. It can be concluded that overall, the implementation of the Journalistic Code of Ethics by journalists in the South Sumatra Provincial Government has been carried out effectively.

Abstract

This Vegetable Planting Movement activity is one of the activities contained in the seven mainstay programs of Banyuasin Bangkit as stated in Banyuasin Regent Regulation Number 63 of 2019 concerning Strategic Plans for Regional Apparatuses in the Banyuasin Regency Government for 2018-2023, such as the creation of vegetable-producing areas and the aim of this vegetable planting movement is also to foster community participation in the utilization of home yards for family food security. By utilizing the land in the yard of the house in order to meet food needs (vegetables), the community can realize family food self-sufficiency and no longer need to buy vegetables because they are already available in the yard of the house. up to the next generation. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the activities of the Vegetable Planting Movement in Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency. The things that were identified were: Lack of outreach to the community about the importance of planting vegetables in the yard of the house, Participation of residents who were less active in responding to calls for activities to plant vegetables and Limited land for growing vegetables in the yard of the house. Evaluation of Vegetable Planting Movement Activities in Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency uses evaluation theory according to Stuffelbeam (2003: 78), namely as follows: 1) Context consists of objectives and benefits, 2) Input consists of: Human resources, funds or budget and goals, 3) Process consists of: Procedures for Vegetable Planting Movement Activities and Vegetable Planting Movement Activities, 4) Products consist of: Increased community economic welfare regarding food security and food self-sufficiency. This research shows that: overall the activities of the Vegetable Planting Movement in Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency have been carried out as they should, even though there are still obstacles in its implementation, namely the lack of outreach to the community about the importance of planting vegetables in the yard of the house, the participation of residents who are less active in responding calls for vegetable planting activities and limited land for growing vegetables in the yard of the house

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the supervision of road construction in Air Putih Ilir Village, Plakat Tinggi District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. This research is qualitative in nature, with qualitative data obtained through interviews with informants and analysis of relevant documents. The research results show that although supervision of road construction in Air Putih Ilir Village, Plakat Tinggi District, Musi Banyuasin Regency has been carried out, it has still not reached the optimal level. This is caused by several factors, including a lack of knowledge and skills of supervisory officers, as well as limited funds available. This lack of funding also results in a lack of equipment and facilities that support the work of monitoring officers, such as vehicles that are often damaged. On the planning side, the lack of knowledge and ability of officers as supervisors is one of the obstacles. In implementation, the lack of information from field implementers is also a problem, because they feel that there are people who are more competent in answering questions. In addition, the low quality of construction materials results in rapid road damage, and there is also road construction that is not in accordance with the wishes of the community. Regarding reporting, the Audit Results Report has been prepared, but is often delivered late due to delays in submitting the report from the implementing party. This is because there are still deficiencies in collecting the required data and documents, so it requires additional time to complete them.

Abstract

Accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the RI Number 17/Permen-KP/2019 concerning Requirements and Procedures for Issuing Processing Feasibility Certificates, Guidelines and procedures for good fish processing to ensure fishery products are safe and meet the requirements for quality assurance and safety of fishery products, methods Good fish processing is a guideline and procedure for good fish processing. Meanwhile, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures are instructions and processes for implementing good sanitation to meet the needs for quality assurance and safety of fishery products. Fish Processing Industry Business Actors are required to follow Sanitation SOPs and implement good fish processing methods in each fish processing unit. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of the Policy Requirements and Procedures for Issuing Processing Feasibility Certificates in Palembang Fish Processing Units. The problems in the research are the environment of the processing facilities and their control, the condition of the processing room building (lay out) of the processing kitchen which does not meet the specified standards, the low desire of the Fish Processing Unit/Business Actor in obtaining a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) permit for the reason that they are lazy in completing the requirements and the actors Businesses still have difficulty making improvements that comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)/ Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) standards due to cost/budget limitations. The data analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative data analysis technique. Abstract

Carrying out anchoring activities, the province has the right to determine a distance of 12 miles from sea level, while the remaining rights are under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. Ship docking service fees are determined in accordance with Government Regulation No. 75 of 2015 concerning Tariffs for Types of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) in the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. This tariff is based on the price set by the port authority in accordance with government regulations, and the calculation is as follows: For ships weighing less than 30 GT that are in port for less than 30 days, rates are calculated based on the number of days used. For ships weighing more than 30 GT which are anchored for less than 30 days, the rate is calculated based on the number of days, length of the ship, and price per ΒΌ etmal of IDR 750 (IDR 3000). This research aims to analyze the quality of anchoring services in the Regional Technical Implementation Unit for River, Lake, Ferry and Sea Transport (UPTD PASDSPL) South Sumatra Province. The problems identified in this research are delays in issuing bills for docking services and frequent delays in ship departure schedules. The data analysis method used in this research is qualitative data analysis. The results of this research show that overall, UPTD PASDSPL South Sumatra Province provides good anchoring services. However, there are still several obstacles and obstacles, especially related to the long process of issuing docking service bills and frequent delays in ship departure schedules.

Abstract

Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, there are several residents who claim that their area contains customary land. This claim has the potential to cause conflict if it is involved with companies that have operations in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, such as plantation, forestry and mining companies. To prevent conflicts between residents and these companies, identification, verification and validation need to be carried out to determine whether these residents are indeed included in the category of Indigenous Peoples. By having clarity regarding their status, the government can take policies that are fair to all parties involved. The aim of this research is to coordinate the recognition and confirmation of Indigenous Law Communities in OKI Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, involving informants from the Land Service and community leaders at OKI. The research results show that: 1) The process of coordinating the recognition and inauguration of Customary Law Communities in OKI Regency has been carried out optimally by responsible employees, in accordance with OKI Regent Decree Number 6 of 2021 concerning the Establishment of a Team for Coordination and Synchronization of Recognition and Inauguration of Customary Law Communities in OKI Regency area. 2) Coordination of recognition and inauguration of Indigenous Law Communities in OKI Regency has gone well and involves collaboration with the local government and other stakeholders. Thus, the steps that have been taken to identify and recognize the status of Indigenous Peoples in OKI Regency have been carried out optimally and have involved good cooperation between the government and related parties.

Abstract

This well-known Watervang Tourism Object is visited by many tourists. This Watervang tourist attraction is suitable for families, children, as well as young people to relax, fill holidays, or enjoy weekends. Facilities that are continuously equipped and perfected by the management, increase the interest of tourists to enjoy the charm of these tourist objects. According to (lubuklinggaukota.go.id) Tourist attractions in Lubuklinggau City are currently experiencing very good development, as evidenced by the large number of tourists arriving at the tourist attraction. Watervang. This cannot be separated from the announcement of Sebiduk Semare City in the "Let's Ngelong to Lubuklinggau 22:2:22" program. The issues addressed in this research involve insufficient financial allocation for the enhancement of water van tourism sites and a deficit in community engagement regarding the oversight of existing tourism assets. The study reveals that, on the whole, the implementation of the Watervang Tourism Object Development Policy in Lubuk Linggau City has been carried out competently. However, challenges persist in its execution, notably the inadequacy of funds for the development of watervang tourism sites and the limited involvement of the community in managing the available tourism resources.

Abstract

The End-of-Year Assessment is an activity carried out by educators to measure students' competency achievements at the end of the even semester. The implementation of the End-of-Year Assessment at the North District Elementary School in Ogan Ilir Regency already uses an online system or information technology-based approach with a Local Area Network (LAN) network. Some of the challenges faced in the implementation of the End-of-Year Assessment at the North District Elementary School include a lack of facilities, unstable internet connectivity, no specific time limit for the assessment, insufficient teacher competence in handling the assessment, with 40 percent of teachers not fully understanding the 2013 Curriculum. Some teachers still face difficulties in conducting the end-of-year assessment at the elementary school level. The objective of this research is to understand, describe, and analyze the implementation of the End-of-Year Assessment at the North District Elementary School in Ogan Ilir Regency. This research employs a descriptive approach with a qualitative method. The Management Implementation Theory according to Henry Fayol (2004:37) is used in this research, which consists of Planning, Organizing, Directing, Coordinating, and Supervising. The results show that some aspects are running well, while others are facing challenges, such as the End-of-Year Assessment implementation at the North District Elementary School in Ogan Ilir Regency. The planning involves holding meetings for the formation of the assessment committee based on the official decree, but there are challenges related to inadequate facilities like computers, limited internet connectivity, and insufficient teacher competence in conducting the End-of-Year Assessment.

Abstract

Public Relations (PR) is all efforts and endeavors carried out with the aim of shaping the perception and judgmental responses of others. Issues within PR include instances where reports on development programs by some media are turned into advertorials (ads) without prior confirmation from PR, PR's limited ability to prevent unbalanced and inaccurate information in the news, a lack of scheduled press meetings with mass media, and suboptimal provision of press releases to journalists. The objective of this research is to analyze the role of the Public Relations of the South Sumatra Provincial Government in improving relations with the mass media. Based on the research results, the Public Relations and Protocol Division of the South Sumatra Provincial Government plays its role effectively in enhancing relations with the mass media, which includes understanding and serving the media collaboratively and efficiently. Regarding building the organization's trustworthy reputation in the media, PR achieves this by providing materials and engaging in overall two-way communication effectively. Ensuring the provision of adequate and accurate information, PR and Protocol are required to excel in writing press releases, which has been carried out effectively. In terms of cooperating in the provision of materials and information through press conferences, PR has also been doing well. Additionally, providing verification facilities with dedicated media rooms has been effective. Building strong personal relationships with the media, as seen through the available human resources and advertorial placements in media collaborations, has been satisfactory as well.

Abstract

The important role of Public Relations in a company is to create and maintain a positive image in the eyes of the public. In an effort to build and maintain a positive company image, companies can utilize social media to communicate with the public quickly and effectively, enabling two-way communication between Public Relations and the wider community. Apart from that, social media is also used to evaluate a company's brand image. However, in the context of this research, there are several problems that need to be addressed. One of them is the lack of human resource support in the Public Relations team at Bank Sumatra Selatan Bangka Belitung. Apart from that, the unequal level of education of the community or customers can make it difficult to understand the information conveyed by Public Relations, especially for those who have a lower level of education. This could be the cause of complaints later on. This research aims to analyze the role of Public Relations in improving the company's brand image at Bank Sumatra Selatan Bangka Belitung. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis. The research results show that, overall, Public Relations has played a good role in efforts to improve the company image at Bank Sumatra Selatan Bangka Belitung, although there are still several obstacles, such as a lack of human resource support in the Public Relations team and unequal levels of community/customer education. makes it difficult to understand the information conveyed, which in the end can result in complaints at a later date.
