Abstract

The large Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the Indonesian economy, contributing 61% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employing approximately 66 million business owners, and absorbing 97% of the workforce. MSMEs face various challenges, including branding, innovation, digital literacy, and licensing. Research on MSMEs is crucial for poverty reduction, especially in developing countries. CV Seleksi Alam Muria is one of the MSMEs in Kudus that produces various processed products from the parijoto plant, known for its health benefits. Utilizing a digital approach, this MSME aims to enhance its marketing performance, refine its strategies, and pinpoint its business strengths and weaknesses. This study analyzes the effectiveness of CV. Seleksi Alam Muria's marketing strategy in developing processed parijoto fruit products as a local flagship product of Kudus Regency. The qualitative descriptive method involves identifying internal and external factors and conducting a SWOT analysis. Using a descriptive approach and marketing mix analysis, as well as SWOT and SOSTAC, the study found that the company has successfully diversified its product line, set varied prices, implemented strategic distribution, and conducted online and offline promotions. The economic value-added reached IDR 64,833/kg, with a profitability of 35.11%, and a distribution network in seven cities. Although the marketing strategy was effective, challenges remained, including price increases and limited public awareness. Recommendations for development include market education, branding enhancement, and digital expansion.

Abstract

Farmers in Gunungkidul face two opposing sides: the vulnerability faced due to the harsh environment, and the extraordinary resilience in dealing with it. Located on karst slopes with barren soil and minimal water, they face great challenges in maintaining agricultural sustainability. Long and intense dry seasons often threaten crop yields. The karst landscape in Kapanewon Tanjungsari offers unique challenges and opportunities for agroforestry farming communities. The Tanjungsari karst landscape is faced with serious challenges related to the vulnerability and resilience of its livelihoods. The purpose of this study is to identify factors that influence community resilience and measure the level of vulnerability of agroforestry farmers. The approach taken in this study uses the Livelihood Vulnerability Index (LVI) approach, which is an approach from an index used to measure the level of vulnerability of a group or community to various risks or threats related to livelihoods and agroforestry practices carried out. The results showed that Ngestiharjo Village's Exposure level was lower than that of other villages, Hargosari Village's Sensitivity level was lower than that of other villages, and Ngestiharjo Village's Adaptation Strategy was higher than that of other villages. Overall, Ngestiharjo Village's LVI is better than Hargosari Village and Kemadang Village.

Abstract

Lemons (Citrus limon) have considerable potential for further development in Indonesia, although the country still relies on imports to meet its domestic demand. This study aims to analyse the feasibility of lemon farming from technical and financial perspectives, as well as its sensitivity to fluctuations in input and output prices. The research employed a descriptive method using a case study approach on a lemon farmer in Sukamulya Village, Cihaurbeuti District, Ciamis Regency. Technical feasibility was assessed using the Crop Management guidelines issued by APNI Kheti. Financial feasibility was evaluated using four investment criteria, namely Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit–Cost Ratio (Net B/C), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PP), complemented by sensitivity analysis. The results indicate that, from a technical perspective, lemon farming achieved a conformity level of 61.29% with the Crop Management standards issued by APNI Kheti. Financial feasibility analysis shows a positive NPV of IDR 3,733,653,738, a Net B/C of 4.85, an IRR of 22.80%, and a payback period of 5 years and 8 months. Sensitivity analysis reveals that a 25% increase in labour costs and a 40% decrease in the selling price of lemons reduce the values of NPV, Net B/C, IRR, and PP; however, these indicators remain within acceptable limits, indicating that lemon farming remains financially feasible for further development.

Abstract

Increasing coffee consumption in Indonesia is a big opportunity for businesspeople in the coffee sector, such as coffee shops. Increasing competition means that businesspeople must make various innovations, both in the foods and drinks offered and the comfort of the place. This research aims to determine the factors influencing purchasing decisions at Haluan Kopi in Surakarta City. The basic methods used in this research are descriptive and survey methods. The research location was determined purposively, and the sample was taken using a purposive sampling method with 100 Haluan Kopi consumers as respondents. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, interviews, recording, and documentation. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression analysis, F test, coefficient of determination, and significance tests. The results show that the average respondent is male, and most respondents are aged 17-25, with at least a high school/vocational education. Most respondents earn IDR 1,800,000.00-IDR 3,000,000.00; the average respondent is a student. Abstract

Competition in processed food products, particularly packaged spice seasonings, has intensified alongside increasing consumer demand for practical, safe, and high-quality products. In relatively homogeneous markets, product attributes play an important role in influencing consumer purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the effect of product attributes on purchasing decisions for Ladaku Pepper Powder in Surakarta City. The product attributes examined include product quality, price, brand, packaging, quality assurance, and halal assurance. The study was conducted purposively in Surakarta City using a non-probability sampling technique with an accidental sampling approach. A total of 100 respondents were involved, meeting the following criteria: a minimum age of 17 years, having purchased Ladaku Pepper Powder at least twice, and residing in Surakarta City. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that all product attributes have a significant effect on purchasing decisions for Ladaku Pepper Powder simultaneously. Partially, product quality, brand, quality assurance, and halal assurance have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while price and packaging do not have a significant effect. Product quality is identified as the most dominant attribute influencing purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Sweet potatoes are one of the non-rice carbohydrate food sources with high nutritional value and are widely cultivated in highland areas, such as Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency. Two dominant varieties grown by farmers are purple sweet potato and Cilembu, which have different characteristics, market values, and economic potentials. This study aims to compare the production costs, revenues, income, profits, and farming efficiency between these two varieties. A descriptive-analytical method was employed, and 60 respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results show that the average total production cost for purple sweet potato farming was IDR 19,841,805/Ha/ season, while Cilembu required IDR 21,930,730/Ha/ season. Average revenues reached IDR 49,225,385/Ha/season for purple sweet potato and IDR 75,448,102/Ha/season for Cilembu. The respective incomes were IDR 34,921,959/Ha/ season and IDR 57,976,135/Ha/ season. The profits obtained were IDR 29,383,581/Ha/ season for purple sweet potatoes and IDR 53,517,372/Ha/ season for Cilembu. Efficiency values (R/C ratio) of 2.54 and 3.51 indicate that both varieties are feasible and profitable to cultivate, with Cilembu demonstrating higher economic efficiency.
