Cocoa is a commodity that has high economic value and has the potential for sustainability to continue to be developed. Cocoa is a mainstay commodity in various regions in Indonesia, one of which is West Sulawesi which is included in the five largest cocoa bean producing provinces in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the level of production and income as well as the risk of production and income of cocoa farming in Kuajang Village, Binuang District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach that emphasizes the analysis of numerical data. The sampling technique was carried out using the simple random sampling method. The sample in this study was 40 cocoa farmer respondents or 20% of the cocoa farmer population, which totaled 200 people. Data was collected by observation, interviews and documentation. Analysis of the data used is the Coefficient of Variation (CV) analysis. The results showed that the CV value of production risk was 0,76 which was classified as high risk or very risky. This is because of the attack of pests and plant diseases that reduce the production of cocoa plants. While the CV value of income risk is 0,18 which is classified as low risk. This risk also includes the impact of pests and diseases that cause low production and quality of cocoa beans.

Agricultural extension activities are one of the efforts to change farmers' behaviour and develop farmers, including knowledge, skills and attitudes. This is done to realize agricultural development where one of the goals is to increase productivity. The objectives of this study are 1) knowing the communication patterns carried out by field agricultural extension workers, 2) knowing the level of application of mustard cultivation technology, and 3) knowing the relationship between communication patterns and the application of mustard cultivation techniques. This research was carried out in Paal Merah Sub-district and the Lingkar Selatan Village of Jambi City. The selection of the site was made deliberately. The sample in this study was 53 mustard farmers in both villages. This study used descriptive analysis and correlation analysis with the Spearman Rank method. The results showed that the communication patterns carried out were one-way communication patterns, two-way communication patterns, and multi-directional communication patterns. As a result, 92.45% of mustard farmers are at the level of application of high category mustard cultivation techniques, and 7.55% are in a low category. Based on the results of spearman rank analysis, it is known that the pattern of one-way communication is not related to the level of application of mustard cultivation techniques; the relationship category is weak and has a negative direction. On the other hand, the two-way and multi-directional communication patterns are related to the degree of application of mustard cultivation techniques, including the category of strong relationships and having a positive direction.

The role of tobacco in economic conditions in Indonesia is very large considering the amount of excise tax applied as state revenue. The higher the production and export of tobacco, the higher the state revenue. The study aims to explain the influence of domestic tobacco price factors, tobacco export prices, tobacco production, rupiah exchange rate, real Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and tobacco product excise on the volume of tobacco exports in Jember Regency. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research uses monthly time series secondary data from 2019 to 2021. The data is analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software program. The results of the research show domestic tobacco prices, tobacco export prices, tobacco production, rupiah exchange rate, real GDP, and excise on tobacco products together have a significant effect on the volume of tobacco exports in Jember Regency. The partial test shows that domestic prices and tobacco export prices influence the volume of tobacco exports. These two variables are influential because price decreases and increases will always be related to the level of demand which will also affect export volume.

The samples used were determined deliberately. Analysis methods include revenue, costs, profits, B/C ratio indicators, R/C ratio, and Performance Index. Primary and secondary data were used in this research. The research results show that acceptance of the partnership pattern has an average of IDR 73,661,548 greater than the independent pattern. The average profit and total profit received by partnership breeders is much greater than that of independent breeders, amounting to IDR 28,004,337. The B/C ratio of the independent pattern broiler chicken farming business is 0.61 for the partnership pattern, while for the independent pattern, it is -0.15. The partnership pattern is more worth pursuing than the independent pattern as seen from the R/C ratio value where the partnership pattern is 1.61 while the independent pattern is 0.97 which is not worth pursuing. The environmental and legal aspects of the partnership pattern are feasible in the legal aspect, while the environmental aspect is not yet feasible because air pollution still occurs and the large number of flies that arise due to unprocessed chicken manure.

Consumers have an important role in the business world, one of which is the ornamental plant business. Consumer satisfaction was strongly influenced by the level of income, where consumers have a decision in choosing a product they will buy. Knowledge of consumer perceptions is important to increase farmers' income. This research method uses a descriptive approach, where data collection was carried out using interviews and direct surveys. Data were analysed using the Consumer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The level of consumer satisfaction with ornamental plants on the stock exchange and the auction of ornamental plants at Menggung Forest Art 2 was classified into the very satisfied category. Consumer satisfaction with ornamental plants is influenced by attributes such as variety, level of product uniqueness, product prices, future price predictions, and the appearance of plants in pots. Improvements regarding the selection of pots that are more adapted to the size of the plant and the selection of pot colours need to be made by traders or ornamental plant auctioneers.

The need for food in the industrial world tends to increase every time, this is due to Indonesia's population growth rate continues to increase. This prospect is said to be positive, because it also absorbs the level of sales of local agricultural commodities, so that the level of welfare also increases. UKM XYZ is a social enterprise that was formed together, with the aim of collecting various harvests carried out by farmers, which are then processed into processed food products, so as to increase the cost of added value income. The technique in this activity is carried out manually, with the form of nets used that must cover the plantation area as a whole, without gaps, so that the irrigation process using dew can be carried out perfectly. The results of the water quantity value from the paranet net technique are greater than the quantity value. rain of hope. This makes it an alternative technique that can be adopted by farmers in dealing with climate change or prolonged climate crises such as drought. The results of the production value of the production quantity of the harvest value deposited to SMEs XYZ in the three month period (January – March 2023), show a better increase than the initial data period (October – December 2022). The high water quantity value from the paranet netting technique must be adjusted to the conditions of the slopes or the steepness of agricultural land, so that it does not pose a risk of landslides or excessive abrasion, which is detrimental to farmers

Rice is one of the agricultural products that experience many problems in providing national food stocks. Constraints on rice stocks in Indonesia have resulted in price increases, especially for low-income people. Insufficient rice production encourages rice imports by the government to meet national needs. The research aims to determine the factors that influence rice imports in Indonesia. The basic research method is a quantitative descriptive method. Secondary data was used in 1993-2022. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis show: (1) Together, the variables of rice harvest area, population, rupiah exchange rate, rice consumption, and rice stock have a significant effect on rice imports. (2) The variables of rice harvest area, rupiah exchange rate, and rice stock do not individually have a significant effect on rice imports. On the other hand, the variables of population and rice consumption have a significant effect individually. (3) The variables of population and rice consumption have a positive and significant influence on rice imports. The government is advised to focus on rice import policies by considering fluctuations in domestic consumption and population which have a significant impact, while also monitoring the stability of the rupiah exchange rate to anticipate potential impacts in the future.
