Abstract

Mathematics education has a main goals is for students to have problem-solving abilities. However, students’ mathematical problem-solving skills are still low due to teacher-centered learning approaches. The proposed solution is to implement the Creative Problem-Solving instructional model, and therefore, this study is aimed to figure out the impact on mathematical problem-solving abilities by using the CPS instructional model. Quasy Experiment is the research method that employed with a design known as the Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. All 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Padang during the 2022/2023 academic year is the population, and there were two samples. This study using an instrument which is a final test. Using the outcomes of the hypothesis test from the conclusive examination acquired a p-value was 0.000 (0,05), which indicates rejecting the null hypothesis (. It was discovered that there is an impact on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in class VII at SMP Negeri 7 Padang by using the CPS instructional model.Keywords– Problem-solving abilities, creative problem solving learning model, convensional learning model

Abstract

The ability of mathematical reasoning is one of the abilities in mathematics learning that must be possessed by every students. However, the 8thgrade of mathematics in Junior High School number 15 Padang, student’s mathematical reasoning abilityis not optimal. Generative learning is one of learning model that can improve the ability of mathematical reasoning. The aims of this research are to describe the development of student’s mathematical reasoning abilities using generative learning model and to describe the differences in the ability of student's mathematical reasoning usinggenerative learning model with the ability of student's mathematical reasoning usingdirect learning model. The types of research are descriptive and quasi-experimental with Randomized Control-Group Only Design. The results showed that theability of student’s mathematical reasoning which was taught by using generative learning model had increased. Furthermore, based on the hypothesis test result, it was found that the ability of student's mathematical reasoning which was taught by usinggenerative learning model are better than the ability of student's mathematical reasoning which was taught by direct learning model. So, it can be concluded that there is influences ofgenerative learning model for the ability of mathematical reasoning.Keywords - Generative Learning Model, The Ability of Mathematical Reasoning.

Abstract

This research is a development research which aims to produce a valid and practical Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on Guided Inquiry on Geometry Transformation Material. The development procedure used consists of the preliminary stage, making a prototype and an assessment. The results showed that the guided inquiry based LKPD on Geometry Transformation Material was valid and practical. The expert reviews stage obtained a valid LKPD result with a validity score of 74.14%. In the LKPD practicality category, seen from the six responses of students who had carried out the small group evaluation stage was 91, 32% with the very practical category. Abstract

Gaining proficiency in mathematical concepts is a fundamental goal in learning mathematics. However, students' ability to understand mathematical ideas at SMPN 10 Padang is currently inadequate. Applying the Discovery Learning model is an effort to increase student participation in the learning process. This research used quasi-experimental method, specifically using posttest-only non-equivalent control group design. The t-test data analysis resulted in a P-value of 0.013 which indicates that the Discovery Learning model is superior to the direct learning model in class IX SMPN 10 Padang.Keywords– Discovery Learning, Understanding Mathematical Concepts

Abstract

Understanding mathematical concepts is one of the basic abilities that must be mastered by students so that the goals of mathematics learning can be achieved. In fact, in class VII SMPN 13 Padang showed the understanding_of mathematical_concepts is still low. An alternative that can be used as a solution to overcome this problem is by applying the Team Assisted Individualization type cooperative learning model. Mathematical communication skills of class VIII students in SMP Negeri 3 Solok City are still low. This is seen by giving problems with mathematical communication indicators. Abstract

Abstract - The purpose of this study is to provide Electronic Learner Worksheets (E-LKPD) for students in junior high school's VIIth grade who need to solve mathematical problems in context. The Plomp model is used in the creation of this liveworksheet-based E-LKPD. The process of creating an E-LKPD using live worksheets includes a preliminary needs analysis, curriculum development, concepts, student evaluation, and self-evaluation. Questionnaires, interviews, and observations were the sources of data for this preliminary research. According to preliminary investigation, E-LKPD are required to help students develop their problem-solving abilities, and students are interested in using interactive, effective LKPDs that can be accessed on liveworksheet. The E-LKPDs were then created and assessed independently in relation to the mistakes made when utilizing them. Liveworksheet-based E-LKPDs and self-evaluations have been created based on the initial study and can be verified by specialists.Keyword: E-LKPD, Contextual Teaching and Learning, Mathematical Problem Solving Abilites, Liveworksheet

Abstract

one of cognitive competence that can be owned by student is the competency of understanding mathematical concepts in learning mathematics. In fact, the competency of understanding mathematical concepts of students grade VIII SMP Negeri 31 Padang is still low, so it needs to be increased. One of the effort to overcome this problem is by applying Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) type of cooperative learning model to make student understand the material and can build the knowledge by themselves. Thus, this why alone research to describe is student’s concept understanding using TSTS type of cooperative learning model better than student’s understanding konsep using conventional learning in grade VIII SMP Negeri 31 Padang. Abstract

Several studies show that students' understanding of mathematical concepts in three-dimensional material is still low. One of the reasons is that the visualization on the LKPD used is still lacking so that students cannot easily explore three-dimensional material. Therefore, LKPD was developed using GeoGebra Classroom on three-dimensional material, which is expected to facilitate students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This research is categorized as research and development using the Plomp model which consists of three stages. At the initial investigation stage (preliminary research) needs analysis, curriculum analysis, concept analysis, and student analysis are carried out. At the prototype stage (prototyping stage), a formative evaluation is carried out in which each evaluation is revised until a prototype 4. Then the LKPD using the geogebra classroom is declared valid with an average validity value obtained of 90.1% with very valid criteria. In addition, LKPD is also declared practical with an average practicality value obtained from students of 94.09% and educators of 89.18% with very practical criteria. Keywords - LKPD, understanding of mathematical concepts, geogebra classroom, valid, practical.

Abstract

Understanding Mathematical Concepts of  students in class VIII of SMPN  29 Padang is stillAlow. This cannbe seen at the time of observation and the low value of the test given to students which includes indicators of the ability to understand Mathematics Concepts. The solution to this problem is to apply the Pair Check cooperative learning model. The purposeeof this studyyis to find out and describe whether the ability to understand MathematicallConcepts of students whoolearn to use the cooperativeeelearning model Pair Check type issbetter than the ability UnderstandinggMathematical Concepts of students who learn to use direct learning models . This type of research is quasi-experimental and descriptive with a Randomized Control-Group Only Design study design. The study population was class VIII students of SMP 29 Padang in the academic year 2018/2019. The research sample was class VIII.7 as the experimental class and class VIII.4 as the control class. The instrument in this study is the test of the ability to understand Mathematics Concepts. The final test was analyzed using the t-test. Based on the final test analysis obtained P-value = 0.016 less than, meaning that Understanding Mathematics Concepts students who learn with the Pair Check type learning model are better than UnderstandinggMathematical Conceptsoof students who learn with direct learning models. Keywords -.
