Frontiers in Community Service and Empowerment (FiCSE) publishes peer-reviewed, community services activities articles in an open-access format. Accepted articles span the full extent of the Engineering, Social, Science, Health and Education. FiCSE seeks to be the world’s premier open-access outlet for community services papers. As such, unlike traditional journals, FiCSEdoes not limit content due to page budgets or thematic significance. Rather, FiCSE evaluates the scientific and implementation methods of each article for validity and accepts articles solely on the basis of the research. Likewise, by not restricting papers to a narrow discipline, FiCSE facilitates the discovery of the connections between papers, whether within or between disciplines.

Abstract

Puskesmas in Malang Regency do not yet have facilities for monitoring LBW in real time via android either by health workers at the health centre or the patient's family. Puskesmas Dampit serves communities spread across several villages with a coverage area spread across several villages. This is an obstacle for families to get access to monitor the patient's progress, because the patient is in the NICU or ICU room. Another thing is that there is no training for users in the use of telemedicine-based Baby Incubator equipment. The role of users and families of patients is very important to keep the equipment in good condition. However, operating trainings based on new technology for users have never been conducted. Efforts to solve the above problems are to carry out counselling and assistance in the use of baby incubator equipment to users including nurses, midwives and other non-health worker users, so as to increase the knowledge of officers or users which in turn will have an impact on increasing the productivity of officers or users and improving the quality of service at the health centre. The purpose of this Community Service is to increase the role and participation of Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya in improving the degree of public health in the Puskesmas Dampit area, Malang Regency. The results of community service through the application of telemedicine-based Baby Incubator at Puskesmas Dampit are increased knowledge and skills regarding telemedicine-based baby incubator equipment. This will improve health services, especially for babies who need intensive care. The implementation of this technology provides significant benefits, including increased accessibility of health services, speed of response to patient health conditions, family involvement in care, and efficient use of resources. Assistance to Puskesmas personnel and patient families in the form of training, monitoring and evaluation of the use of appropriate technology in the form of Telemedicine-based baby incubator utilization.

Abstract

Early childhood is the most appropriate time to instill values to instill positive behavior in children. Prevention of caries in children needs to be instilled early on seeing the impact of caries which can interfere with chewing function which leads to a lack of nutritional intake received by children. Prevention of caries can be done by maintaining dental health, one of which is done by brushing teeth. By brushing your teeth, you can maintain the cleanliness and strength of your teeth, but the wrong way of brushing cannot maximize oral hygiene. Therefore, knowledge of how to brush teeth properly and correctly is needed, in order to improve the quality of oral hygiene to the maximum. Making innovative media is very useful for increasing knowledge and attracting school-age children to pay attention to oral health. The author makes media in the form of a popup castle as an effort to prevent rampant caries in school-age children so that this media can make it easier for school-age children to understand efforts to maintain oral health. Objective: To describe the increase in school-age children's interest in maintaining oral health and hygiene by using castle popup media. Methods: The method we use in this counseling is game-based learning. The game method that we use is also based on the media that we offer in the form of a pop-up castle where in this media there are several materials including foods that are good for dental health and how to brush teeth properly and correctly and the right time to brush teeth. The game that we apply aims to review the material that has been explained during counseling. Results: 1) There is an increase in the knowledge of fourth grade students of SD Islam Maryam about oral health. 2) There is an increase in the interest of school-age children in maintaining oral health and hygiene by using castle popup media. 3) There is an improvement in the oral health status and behavior (knowledge, attitudes and actions) of elementary school students so that it can support general health. 4) This counseling activity is effective because it uses castle pop up media with a predetermined design and dental phantom so that the message conveyed can be understood by the target. 5) The final report and article will be included as a scientific publication in an accredited journal after the service. 6) The weakness of this activity is that it does not use other conventional counseling as a comparison.

Abstract

The coast is an area that has potential for tourist attractions, including for turtle conservation which is relied on as a support for the economy. Turtles are one of the protected animals, not just protected by law because they are feared they will become extinct. The Turtle Conservation "Pearl of the Masaran Sea" which is located on Sumbreng Beach, East Java, is one of the turtle conservation areas developed by the Trenggalek Lentera Society. Activities carried out at the turtle conservation site "Pearl of the Masaran Sea" include relocating turtle eggs, caring for turtle eggs, combing eggs, and also releasing hatchlings. There are 5 types of turtles that are protected on Sumbreng beach, some of which are green turtles and hawksbill turtles which are included in the Appendix I category, which means they are prohibited from being traded internationally. Apart from visiting tourists being able to see the turtle breeding process, this conservation also provides economic tourism such as small Jeep facilities that are used to get around the beach and releasing hatchlings in certain months. However, due to lack of exposure to this conservation area. This resulted in a small number of tourists coming, and also some tourists coming in the wrong month and not being able to see the hatchlings being released onto the beach. Therefore, this service presents an innovation in the form of a website facility that is useful for updating all activities taking place at the "Pearl of the Masaran Sea" Turtle Conservation. So it can attract more tourists to visit this tourist attraction and tourists can also find out which months are effective for visiting this tourist attraction. It is hoped that the "Pearl of the Masaran Sea" turtle conservation will have the potential for educational tourism which can be developed further, so that it can support the economy of the surrounding community and can also be used as a source of income for managing the turtle conservation itself.
