Abstract

Purpose: Crowdfunding in Islamic Banks has the function of mediating the collection of funds on the social side. This research aims to see how the implementation of Sharia crowdfunding at Bank Syariah Indonesia KC Tanjung Karang and also see its suitability with the principles of Sharia compliance. Methodology: This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The author took data from interviews with the Operating Manager, Customer Service, and Funding Officer of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia KC Tanjung Karang, to see the implementation of the concept of sharia crowdfunding in the collection and distribution of funds from the Hasanah Waqf product. Findings: The results of the analysis show that Bank Syariah Indonesia KC Tanjung Karang implements the concept of sharia crowdfunding in its product, Wakaf Hasanah. Bank Syariah Indonesia KC Tanjung Karang also implements the concept of sharia crowdfunding by the principles of sharia compliance.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the online zakat payment procedures in the Bank Syariah Indonesia Mobile application and public perceptions and constraints related to online zakat payments through the Bank Syariah Indonesia Mobile application. Methodology: The method used is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study were the people of Gampong Meutia, Langsa Kota District. Findings: The results of the study show that public perceptions regarding online zakat payments through the Bank Syariah Indonesia Mobile application tend to lack trust and do not believe in the clarity of zakat distribution later and the public believes that direct zakat payments are far more effective because they can know the mustahik, in contrast to online zakat payments where the muzakki does not know for sure about the mustahik who will receive the zakat. However, it is different from the perception of the people who have used the BSI Mobile application in paying their zakat, where based on the experience they have, the perception created is that there is convenience from the BSI Mobile application in making zakat payments without having to provide a special time in fulfilling these Muslim obligations.

Abstract

Purpose: In the ever-evolving digital era, the transformation of zakat is becoming increasingly relevant and urgent. By utilizing digital technology wisely, zakat institutions can open the door to greater efficiency in the collection, management, and distribution of zakat, as well as increase community engagement in the practice of sharing blessings. However, to reach its full potential, there needs to be a concerted effort from all parties to overcome the challenges associated with using technology in religious and social contexts. Methodology: This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach combined with document analysis. This qualitative descriptive method focuses on explaining facts and circumstances that were observed during the research on Zakat Transformation in the Digital Era: Opportunities and Challenges. Findings: The results of this study show that the transformation of zakat in the digital era is a significant change in how zakat is managed and distributed by utilizing information and communication technology. Zakat institutions have five opportunities and four challenges of zakat transformation in the digital era, which should be prepared so that the transformation of zakat in this digital era positively impacts zakat institutions in particular and society in general.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to test partial and simultaneous how understanding, income, and influence on the environment muzaki pay zakat. Methodology: In this study, the data used is primary data. The method used to collect data using questionnaires. Then, the data analysis techniques used in this research are to test the validity, reliability, and multiple regression analysis. Findings: The results of the study were processed with SPSS version 20.0 for Windows. Based on an analysis conducted by the author, there is a positive effect of variable understanding of the behavior of the variable pay zakat. It is seen from the results of multiple regression analysis of the coefficient of 0.364 and significance of (0.000) <0.05 and T arithmetic> T table (3.820> 1.251). while the variable income does not have a positive influence on the behavior of variable pay zakat. This can be seen from the results of multiple regression analysis of the coefficient of -0.046 and significance (0.541)> 0.05 and T count <T table (-0.617 <1.251). Similarly, with muzaki environment variables that do not provide a positive influence on the behavior of variable pay zakat. This can be seen from the results of multiple regression analysis and significance of 0.018 (0.830)> 0.05 and T count <T table (0.216 <1.251). From these results the most dominant factor influencing the behavior of paying zakat is variable understanding as a positive influence on the behavior of pay zakat and have a T count is greater than the other variables.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out the efforts made by MSME players in the city of Metro to obtain halal certificates as their business legality. Methodology: This research is field research that directly obtains data from primary data sources through interviews and is supported by documentation of information related to this research.  Findings: Most of the MSMEs in metro cities get halal certificates from the Free Halal Certification (Sehati) program whose process is guided and assisted by certified Halal Product Assistance Officers (P3H). This halal certificate is one of the efforts of MSMEs to improve their products so that they can compete in local and international markets. MSME players should maintain the halal standards of their products after obtaining halal certificates so that these products remain of high quality and have competitiveness with local and international products. The Metro City Government through related agencies plays an important role in improving MSME products by ensuring the quality, and halalness of products so that they have competitiveness with products outside the region and also international products. The strategy developed by the Metro City Government was enthusiastically welcomed by MSME players in Metro City. This strategy can improve the economy of MSME players and also plays a role in improving the economy of Metro City.

Abstract

  Purpose: The formulation of the problem in this study is how the waqf bank financing model is Empowering Based on Islamic Micro Finance at Islamic Micro Waqf Banks at the Minhadlul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Lampung. Methodology: In this study, using qualitative research. The population in this study were employees and customers at the Minhad'lul Ulum Micro Waqf Bank Lampung. The sampling technique used is a purposive sampling technique with criteria determined by the researcher, namely customers who have micro businesses and want to make their businesses more productive. Findings: Waqf Bank itself uses a Sharia-based financing system in its financing mechanism for its customers using the Qardh contract and joint responsibility system, where joint responsibility is the responsibility of each customer in one group or individually, where if one customer is in one group If the person cannot pay the installments, then the other members in the group are the ones who are responsible for paying the installments, either one person who pays or it is paid jointly or jointly. In this Qardh contract, in essence, it is a form of help and affection for the borrower, not a means to seek profit for the lender, in which there is no reward and excess return. From the financing provided by BWM, customers can increase their business and get maximum results from their usual income, therefore financing from the Micro Waqf Bank is very helpful for customers, especially the poor, middle and lower classes.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to provide a comprehensive narrative review of these factors to identify the key motivators and barriers to zakat compliance. By synthesizing insights from global research, this study seeks to inform strategies for enhancing zakat systems, optimizing collection mechanisms, and maximizing socio-economic impact. Methodology: A narrative review methodology was employed, systematically analyzing relevant studies from the Scopus database. The thematic analysis focused on drivers such as religiosity, social norms, technological integration, institutional trust, knowledge, demographic contexts, and economic factors influencing zakat compliance. Findings: Findings highlight that religiosity is a primary motivator, supported by trust in institutions, social dynamics, and technological advancements that facilitate zakat payments. However, barriers such as insufficient awareness, governance challenges, and economic instability hinder compliance. Demographic and contextual variations further influence behavior, requiring tailored approaches. This study underscores the dual role of zakat as a spiritual and socio-economic tool. By addressing identified drivers and barriers, policymakers and zakat institutions can enhance compliance, foster social equity, and contribute to sustainable development. This research integrates diverse perspectives into a structured framework, advancing the understanding of zakat payment behaviors. It provides actionable insights for improving zakat systems globally and identifies areas for further exploration, such as the role of emerging financial paradigms and digital innovations.

Abstract

Purpose: This research is motivated by the phenomenon of many cases of poisoning in consumers after consuming food. Khizanah Gontor Bakery Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor as a business actor can compile its system to continue to implement Islamic business ethics. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Khizanah Gontor Bakery system is in its production and to find out whether this business has implemented Islamic business ethics in its production system. Methodology: This study uses a qualitative method with a type of field research. Data was collected through interviews and observations. This research method is descriptive qualitative which analyzes the Implementation of Islamic Business Ethics in Khizanah Gontor Bakery Business Production. Findings: The results of the study show that Khizanah Gontor Bakery's business production is in accordance with the principles of Islamic business ethics. Business actors use good and halal raw materials for consumption. In their work system, staff and employees have also implemented Islamic ethical principles in them such as unity, justice, will, responsibility and also virtue. Even with the principle of sincerity, Khizanah Gontor Bakery staff carry out all tasks and develop their factory without any salary for them and with full sincerity. This principle is held firmly by the staff and does not commit any fraud in any of its production.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine a person's interest in giving zakat to Palestine among the people in Yogyakarta by using Crow and Crow's (1987) view regarding a person's interest can grow with the presence of 3 factors, namely internal need factors, social motive factors, and emotional factors. Methodology: This study uses a quantitative approach model using probability sampling method of 100 respondents and also uses area sampling as a regional sampling technique in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Findings: This study uses a quantitative approach model using probability sampling method of 100 respondents and also uses area sampling as a regional sampling technique in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The results of this study indicate that charitable awareness has no partial influence on the interest in charity for Palestine, income has a partial influence on the interest in charity for Palestine, and altruism has a partial influence on the interest in charity for Palestine, and the influence of charitable awareness, income, and altruism simultaneously has an influence on the interest in charity for Palestine.

Abstract

Purpose: This article aims to determine the level of public awareness of paying zakat in Baznas. Methodology: The type of research used is quantitative research. The data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression test analysis. Findings: The result of the research obtained is that there is a strong relationship between the level of public awareness and zakat payment in North Toraja Regency. This significant correlation indicates that the higher the public awareness, the greater their contribution to paying zakat through BAZNAS. Further analysis shows that the level of public awareness plays an important role in explaining the proportion of zakat payment, although other factors beyond awareness also affect the final result that are not examined in this study.
