Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of workplace facilities and work environment on employee involvement, with self-efficacy serving as a mediating variable, at PT. Saprotan Utama Semarang. The research is grounded in the notion that human resources play a vital role in enhancing organizational performance and competitiveness, where adequate facilities, a supportive work environment, and employees’ confidence in their abilities are key determinants. A quantitative approach was employed, using questionnaires as the data collection instrument, and data were analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The findings are expected to demonstrate that workplace facilities and work environment significantly affect both self-efficacy and involvement, while self-efficacy mediates the relationship between them. Practically, this research offers recommendations for companies to foster higher employee involvement by improving workplace facilities, creating a conducive environment, and strengthening employees’ self-efficacy to achieve optimal productivity.

Abstract

This study analyses the influence of Land and Building Acquisition Tax (BPHTB) and Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) on regional financial independence in regencies/cities in West Java Province. The approach used was a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, beginning with quantitative analysis of secondary data from 2021 to 2023. This phase was followed by qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews with local government officials. The quantitative results indicate that BPHTB and PBB-P2 have a positive and significant influence on the level of regional financial independence. Qualitative findings indicate that these two taxes are significant not just for their ability to generate income but also for how they are managed. Challenges in managing BPHTB and PBB-P2 encompass target establishment affected by non-technical variables, unpredictable revenue potential, uncollectable receivables, data inconsistencies, insufficient fair value benchmarks, and constrained collection authority for national strategic initiatives. Implemented strategies encompass transaction value verification according to NJOP, revaluation of taxable assets, digitalisation of services, public engagement, fiscal incentives, and collaborations with third parties. This study emphasises the importance of effective regional tax management to strengthen fiscal capacity and reduce dependence on transfer funds.

The results of the study indicate that the strategies implemented by street vendors at Lakota Beach are considered effective, as evidenced by their ability to maintain product quality, set fair prices, carry out targeted promotions, choose strategic locations, and provide excellent service. These factors create significant opportunities for vendors to survive and thrive amid intense business competition. In addition, the vendors’ income has increased significantly due to good management practices, the use of technology for promotion, and their willingness to seize opportunities such as fulfilling large-scale orders. From the perspective of Sharia Economics, the income-boosting strategies adopted by the street vendors also prioritize principles such as honesty in transactions, maintaining product quality and halal standards, showing friendliness and patience, and building customer loyalty. These principles serve as key factors in the vendors’ success in growing their businesses and achieving sustainable income growth.

Abstract

This study used a quantitative approach to determine the influence of influencer marketing, video content, and social media interactions on Generation Z's purchasing interests. Data collected through questionnaires were used as a source of research. The study involved Generation Z. Probability sampling was used for sampling, the sample size was calculated by lemeshow formula for 100 respondents, and PLS (Partical Least Square) was used to analyze the data. PLS is a structural equation modeling (SEM) model that uses an approach based on variance or component based structural equation modeling. SmartPls 4 produces data processing results. This study shows that marketing influence factors have a positive but not significant effect on Gen Z's interest in buying fashion items online. There is a positive and significant influence of video content and social media interaction variables on Gen Z's interest in buying fashion products via the internet.
