Abstract

Modern trade currently encourages countries to continuously innovate to advance the economy, one of which is through strengthening the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. In facing these changing times, MSMEs are required to adapt to technological advances, particularly in the field of digital finance or financial technology (fintech). The use of fintech facilitates transaction processes and access to financing, which is expected to improve MSME performance. However, the use of fintech must be accompanied by adequate understanding and education for MSMEs. This study aims to analyze the influence of fintech and financing on MSME performance. The research used an explanatory approach with a quantitative approach using primary data. The results indicate that the use of fintech significantly influences financing, fintech directly influences MSME performance, and financing significantly influences MSME performance. Therefore, an active role is needed from local governments in providing accessible access to fintech services, affordable financing facilities, and entrepreneurship training to improve the competency of MSMEs in facing competition in the digital era.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of improving teacher performance as a key factor in achieving educational goals, where leadership style, compensation, and organizational culture are assumed to play significant roles. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of leadership style and compensation on teacher performance and to examine the role of organizational culture as a moderating variable at the Aresha Indonesia Center Foundation. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 40 teachers as the sample, using a Likert-scale questionnaire, and the data were analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) using SmartPLS. The findings indicate that both leadership style and compensation have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Furthermore, organizational culture was found to moderate the effect of leadership style on performance, but did not moderate the effect of compensation. The synthesis highlights that teacher performance can be improved through strengthening visionary, motivational, and supportive leadership, optimizing fair and relevant compensation systems, and fostering a conducive organizational culture. The policy implications suggest the need for leadership development programs, periodic evaluation of compensation policies, and alignment of reward systems with organizational values to create a harmonious and productive work environment that supports the achievement of educational objectives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of training effectiveness on employee performance with motivation as a mediating variable. The research method employs a quantitative approach, utilizing the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to all 44 employees of KPKNL Medan and analyzed using SmartPLS with bootstrapping tests. The results showed that training effectiveness, as measured by the Kirkpatrick Model, had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (b = 0.356; p < 0.001) and on motivation based on Self-Determination Theory (b = 0.843; p < 0.000). Motivation was also shown to have a significant effect on performance (b =0.613; p<0.000) and mediated the relationship between training effectiveness and performance with a greater indirect effect (b =0.517) than the direct effect. These findings confirm that motivation is an important mechanism that explains how effective training can have a real impact on performance improvement. This research provides theoretical contributions by integrating the Kirkpatrick model and Self-Determination Theory, as well as practical implications for management at KPKNL Medan in designing training programs that not only improve technical competence but also increase employee work motivation.

Abstract

The growth of Islamic banking in Indonesia has encouraged the emergence of various ‎financing products with competitive advantages compared to conventional banking. ‎One such example is the Bank Pembiayaan Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) Al-Washliyah Medan, ‎which offers a wide range of products based on Islamic contractual principles (akad ‎syariah). This research stems from the need to understand the distinctive advantages of ‎Islamic financing products offered by the bank and to assess the factors influencing ‎customers’ preferences for specific products. The study employs a qualitative method ‎with a field research approach. Primary data were obtained through interviews with ‎BPRS Al-Washliyah Medan employees, while secondary data were collected from ‎supporting documents and relevant literature. The aim of this study is to analyze the ‎strengths of Islamic financing products at BPRS Al-Washliyah Medan—particularly ‎those based on contracts such as murabahah, mudharabah, musyarakah, ijarah, qardh, ‎salam, and istisna—and to explore the factors shaping customer preferences for these ‎products. The findings reveal that murabahah is the most preferred product due to its ‎installment certainty and simple procedures, while other products such as mudharabah ‎and musyarakah are perceived as more complex. Flexibility, transparency, and spiritual ‎value grounded in Islamic principles have been proven to enhance customer trust. The ‎contribution of this research lies in providing insights for Islamic banking practitioners ‎in developing product strategies and serving as an academic reference to strengthen ‎the literature on customer preferences for Islamic financing products at the local level.‎

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on the assets of Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS) in Indonesia during the 2019–2023 period. Using secondary data obtained from official publications of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), this research employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. After conducting classical assumption tests to confirm the model’s validity, the analysis was performed using multiple linear regression through the EViews 12 software. The research findings indicate that there are no signs of autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, or multicollinearity, and that the regression model used meets the requirements of normally distributed data. The partial test results (t-test) reveal that the assets of BPRS are not significantly affected by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), but are significantly influenced by the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The simultaneous test results (F-test) also demonstrate that BPRS assets are significantly affected by both variables simultaneously. These two variables account for 44.03% of the variation in BPRS assets, as indicated by the Adjusted R-Square value of 0.440347; the remaining portion is influenced by factors not included in this research model.

Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires. The sampling technique used in this research was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was conducted using Smart PLS 3, which included the outer model tests comprising convergent validity, discriminant validity, composite reliability, Cronbach’s alpha, and multicollinearity tests and the inner model tests comprising coefficient of determination, goodness of fit, effect size (f²) test, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that brand loyalty toward fast-food restaurants in Surakarta is significantly influenced by brand awareness, brand association, and brand assets, with lifestyle serving as a moderating variable that strengthens this relationship. These findings support the idea that shifts in contemporary lifestyles have an increasing impact on fast food consumption patterns. Abstract

Ngingas Village is one of the villages that has a metal industrial center and is commonly referred to as a metal village. Ngingas Village itself is located in Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province. This village is neighboring Pandean Village which was formerly the originator of the metal industry. Ngingas became lively because metal production was varied and more in demand. Indeed, the Pandean area itself is a well-known metal-producing productive area in Sidoarjo. Even at a glance, people will not know that Pandean Village and Ngingas Village have the same special industrial center. Ngingas Village is a small, densely populated village whose majority of the population embraces Islam and has the same livelihood, namely working in the home metal industry, so it needs to be explored more deeply, which is research whose data is obtained from the actual location. While the method used is descriptive qualitative, namely the data obtained are presented in the form of interviews, documentation, and triangulation and then described so as to provide clarity.
