INTERNAL (Information System Journal) is a scientific journal published by the Information Systems Study Program, Masoem University. This journal is a forum for publication of scientific papers in the form of writings by academics, researchers and practitioners on pure and applied research in the fields of information systems, informatics engineering and computer engineering. INTERNAL is published twice a year, namely in June and December. This journal has been accredited by SINTA 4. In 2021, INTERNAL (Information System Journal) will be merged and recorded in the Masoem University journal. In addition, DOI Prefix 10.32627 which was originally used by STKOM Al Masoem was later changed by the DOI is affiliation to become Masoem University. The journal at STKOM Al Masoem has changed its form to a journal at Masoem University.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged the use of mobile devices as supporting media in learning processes, including student assessment activities. However, evaluation in Information Technology subjects is still commonly conducted conventionally, resulting in limited interactivity and inefficiency in question management. This study aims to design and test an interactive question bank application based on Android using the V-Model as the software development methodology. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach with V-Model stages consisting of requirement analysis, system design, architectural design, implementation, and testing phases including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing. Usability testing was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure the feasibility level of the application. The results indicate that all system functions operate according to the specified requirements and achieve a good category based on user evaluation. Therefore, the developed application is considered feasible to be used as an interactive and effective learning evaluation media.

Abstract

The use of information technology plays an important role in improving organizational efficiency, particularly in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies that rely on Agent performance. This study aims to design a web-based Agent Evaluation and Training Information System to overcome the limitations of the existing system in quiz management, assessment, and reporting. The study applies the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using the Waterfall model and adopts the Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) approach with Unified Modeling Language (UML). The proposed design identifies three main actors, namely Admin, Reviewer, and Agent, and includes modules for quiz management, evaluation, and reporting. Compared with the existing system, the proposed design provides campaign- or division-based question bank management, role-based evaluation mechanisms, and integrated reporting. The proposed design is expected to support a more flexible, accurate, and integrated Agent evaluation and training process.

Abstract

Household waste management requires an integrated information system to improve the effectiveness of waste sorting, collection scheduling, and reporting activities. At Perum Griya Surya Indah, waste management activities were still conducted manually, resulting in recording errors, delays in information delivery, and difficulties in preparing reports. This study aimed to develop a web-based waste sorting application capable of integrating waste sorting, collection scheduling, and reporting processes into a single platform. The software was developed using the Waterfall method, which consists of requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results showed that the developed application was able to manage user data, waste sorting records, collection schedules, and reports in an integrated manner. Functional testing indicated that all system features operated according to user requirements. The implementation of the system improved data accuracy, operational efficiency, and monitoring activities in residential waste management. Therefore, the Waterfall method remained suitable for developing structured web-based information systems.

Abstract

PT. Daux Cosmetic, an eyelash manufacturer located in Garut, Indonesia, faces challenges in optimizing the production mix of two eyelash models—Model A and Model B—under limited production and quality control time. This study aims to determine the optimal production combination to maximize profit using Linear Programming (LP). Two complementary approaches were employed: the graphical method for feasible-region visualization and the simplex method for iterative algebraic solution. Based on the LP formulation with objective function Z = 10,000,000X? + 4,500,000X? and two capacity constraints, the optimal solution was obtained at point B (X? = 10, X? = 60), allocating 10 hours to Model A and 60 hours to Model B, yielding a maximum profit of IDR 370,000,000. Both methods yielded consistent results, confirming LP as a reliable production-planning tool and a sound basis for operational decision-making.

Abstract

This study analyzes users’ emotional impressions of the Qpon app’s interface design using the Kansei Engineering Type 1 method. Data were collected via a questionnaire involving 107 respondents who evaluated 10 kansei words across four interface pages: Home, Browse, Orders, and Account. Multivariate analysis included Cronbach’s Alpha reliability testing, Pearson Correlation Analysis, Factor Analysis (FA), and Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that the instrument has excellent reliability and that the visual design influences users’ interest in using the application. This study produced recommendations for interface design improvements to generate a positive user impression of the Qpon application interface.

Abstract

Security vulnerabilities in PHP programming code remain one of the major threats to the integrity of web applications, especially when software development processes are not supported by automated and adaptive security analysis mechanisms. This study aims to develop an intelligent system for vulnerability detection and automatic code remediation using a Hybrid Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Model (LLM) approach. The system combines Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF), Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) Parsing, and the Random Forest algorithm for vulnerability classification, while integrating the Google Gemini API as a dynamic recommendation layer to generate contextual and adaptive secure coding suggestions. The dataset consists of 320 PHP code snippets covering SQL Injection, XSS, File Inclusion, Command Injection, Unsafe File Upload, and safe code samples. Experimental evaluation using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrix shows that the model achieved an overall accuracy of 86.25% with a macro average F1-score of 0.86. This study demonstrates that integrating Hybrid ML and LLM-based remediation using the Gemini API has strong potential for developing intelligent static code analysis systems for PHP web applications.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based service desk information system to improve the effectiveness of IT support ticket management. The background of this research is the existing report handling process, which is still carried out manually. This condition often leads to several issues, such as poorly recorded data, duplicate reports, and difficulties in monitoring the problem resolution process. The system is designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) to clearly represent system requirements and workflows. The development process follows the waterfall method, which consists of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing stages. The developed system includes several main features, such as user authentication, ticket management, technician assignment, and real-time ticket status monitoring. With this system, data recording becomes more organized, and coordination between users, administrators, and technicians can be improved. Based on the testing results, the system shows improvements in work efficiency and makes it easier to monitor the problem-handling process. In addition, it helps reduce errors that commonly occur in manual processes. Therefore, this system can be used as a solution to improve the quality of IT support services in a more structured way.

Abstract

The need for rapid and structured maritime information exchange within PT Azure Samudera Karsa necessitates a reliable digital communication platform for the seafarer community. This study aims to design and implement a Seafarer Discussion Forum Application using the User-Centered Design approach. The system was developed using the Extreme Programming) methodology, utilizing a Laravel 12-based backend architecture and a Flutter frontend to ensure responsive performance, adaptability to changing requirements, and high-quality coding standards. The research methodology encompasses requirements analysis, system design, iterative coding, and comprehensive testing, including Alpha Testing for functional validation and Beta Testing using the End-User Computing Satisfaction method to evaluate user satisfaction. The results demonstrate that the system operates stably, achieving a user satisfaction score of 84.52%, which indicates a "Very Satisfied" category. Furthermore, the implementation of security features in the release version has successfully enhanced data accountability. In conclusion, the application of the XP methodology has proven effective in delivering a secure, efficient, and adaptive forum application for the seafarer community at PT Azure Samudera Karsa.
